Visited July 2015. Two of us. We ordered the Korean BBQ lettuce wraps to share, then we ordered the 3 pig sandwich and the grilled cheese. The appetizer was not good. It was drenched in like red wine and was runny. I could not grasp the Korean flavor. It was really just meat on top of cabbage drenched in a red wine/vinegar. The grilled cheese was flavorful but soaking in butter. The 3 pig could have been great but there was not bite to the mustard and really you could not taste it at all. Also, the bread used for the sandwich was dry. Drinks are expensive. We had a total of 3 beers and one mixed. They only had one had two IPAs and neither were very hop intense. Been here many times. Have tried many things on the menu with no complaints. - wings - burgers (my friend loves the one with an over easy egg) - salmon - cajun pasta - flat bread Love the craft draft beer selections. Tom (the bar tender) is the best. Always knows which new beer I should try, and comes around to open the front door if he can when he sees me hobbling in! Went last night, we were with a group of about 20 people, told our server 3 times that we were ready to order, first drinks, then we said appetizers and drinks, then we said dinner and drinks, each time he said he would be right back, but never came back to take our order. After an hour, we left without ever getting a drink or any food. Very disappointed. We kept trying to flag down a girl from the kitchen, we were seated in front of the kitchen doors, but the 2 girls just kept ignoring us. It was busy, but not that busy, they seated 3 tables after us, and they all got waited on. Extremely disappointed. If I could give 0 stars I would. My husband and I have been before and have been very pleased with our meals. Came a second time with extended family and all but 2 were terribly disappointed. My husband couldn't eat his mashed potatoes, they tasted like sour milk! He also had the pulled pork sandwich and it tasted like it had been setting out and reheated. We like to support local businesses, but we will not be coming back. read more

Food is ok but the service was not good at all. Ordered just a hamburger and wings. It took over 45 minutes and the waitress was rarely seen and never returned to check on us. It was a Saturday night and no one could be seen that was running the front of the restaurant. Not sure anyone was running the back of the house either. This is a great new local pub/eatery. The food is way more unique than what I expected - definitely not your typical pub fare, although they do have quite a few burgers, which my husband always gets and loves. This place has many unique microbrew options sure to please any beer connoisseur. The food was delicious and not your typical bar food- grilled salmon, bruschetta, and phenomenal burgers. Staff was very friendly! My BF tasted some samples of beer at the bar and the bartender came to our table later on to bring us more samples even though she wasn't our waitress. The pretzels are good but the cheese is just mediocre. The burgers were fantastic! Good size. Very satisfied with Mike's would definitely go back. read more

What happened to this place? Use to be good food and great service. I was so embarrassed when I brought some friends here and told them how great the service and food was but that night we were served by a teenager that knew nothing and was very unprofessional. I'm shocked she was even old enough to serve alcohol. Then after looking around I noticed they were all young teenagers serving. My friends just laughed at me and thought I had been drunk the last few times ive visited to speak so highly of the place. The food just isn't the same as it use to be. Mikes is going in a bad direction if you ask me and I will not be recommending them to anyone anymore. As a staffing manager for a major company I would be careful hiring such a young staff. Poor service from lack of experience can kill any business. Such a shame. read more

My wife and I visited for the first time today 11/11/14 we met friends which were approx 8 in our total party. Drinks were ordered and delivered promptly. However when food orders were taken I told the waitress to take the ladies orders first because I had not decided as of yet. She proceeded to take everyone's order but failed to come back and ask me had I decided on what I would like to order. This upset me very much and I did not say a word I wanted to see if when she brought everyone their food if she even realized I was not eating or that she forgot to take my order. She never said a word. I did not say a thing but you would think that a server would be concerned that I did not have food when she failed to take my order. I sat and drank my beer while the others in our party ate their food and at not time did it dawn on her she did not take my order. This shows me she is not very at tentative to her customers. I will never be back and I hope your future customers do not go hungry because they cannot get their order taken. read more

Tonight was my first trip in to Mikes Grill and Tap and I decided to get take out. My boyfriend ordered the pulled pork sandwich with french fries, as I ordered the bourbon and onion portobello burger with garlic mashed potatoes. We were absolutely not pleased. The to go boxes were WAY to small for the amount of food given and because of that my burger was on top of the fixens (tomatoes, lettuce, ect.) Any good cook knows that the acidity of tomatoes will make bread extremely soggy. So I had to eat my $11 burger with soggy bread. It got to the point where I took the bottom of the bun off because it was SO soggy. I also ordered my burger to be cooked medium well and it was well done. Besides all that my boyfriends fries were cold and the pulled pork was mediocre. Needless to say we will not be returning to Mikes Grill and Tap. read more

Been here a few times.. Menu is interesting , not your typical bar food at all.. The drinks are delicious. The bar decor is modern and clean. The service is okay, nothing great. A big negative is that the bar often closes early. We've stopped by many weekend nights and they are already closed by 10 and sometimes earlier. We live very close and like to stop for a nite cap but never know if they are still open. It would be nice if they followed their posted hours . read more

We pulled into the strip center behind Fritz's on HWY K in O'Fallon, MO, and were going to get some wings. I spotted Mikes Tap and Grill in the back corner of the center and decided the beer had to be better than the AB choices at the wing place. We went in early Saturday afternoon and there were several other parties having lunch. We ordered an appetizer of seasoned fried cheese that was good and flavorful but nothing unusual. The Burgers however were amazing. A little pricey at over 13.00 each but well worth it. About half the burger is what a normal person can eat in a sitting. Mine was a 1/2 pound burger cooked to perfection with pulled BBQ pork on a pretzel bun. it was garnished with onion straws and a light BBQ sauce, with lettuce, tomato, onion and Pickle on the side. I paired my burger with the soup of the day, which was a wonderful New Orleans style soup/Gumbo with rice, chicken and Andouille sausage. It would have been worth the trip just for a bowl of soup. As a tap room, they have a wonderful selection of local brews. The variety will leave every beer drinker happy with some special brews and a couple different types of beer from each brewery. To seal their 'cred' as a tap room they had a Firkin tapped on the bar with a really nice cask finish brew from Kirkwood station. We will be back. our meal with several beers, gourmet burgers, appetizer and the game on TV was about $60.00 for the two of us. read more

Excellent food and excellent service! Really, if Mike's were judged alone in these qualities, then it is the best restaurant in O'Fallon and probably one of the best STL. I wish more could be said for the ambiance, which is sterile and cold and lifeless (to be generous). Craft beers are served at the bar at great prices though the bar and floor plan aren't exactly inviting. The bartenders are very friendly. The menu..well..there isn't much not to love. Try the sourdough bowl with artichoke dip and try not to eat the bowl. You cannot resist. Were do they get this sourdough? Heaven? Then the rest of the menu too? Did Mike make a deal with the devil for the recipes? If only the same could be said for the designer, which he should have fired. Seriously. Hopefully this stellar restaurant will be around for the long term- O'Fallon is LONG OVERDUE. Adding some warmth to Mike's is really all that is needed. read more
