The Mike's Favorite is the best burger that I have ever eaten. Great selection of beers on tap, too.

Had a decent lunch here a couple months ago....was encouraged by the variety, unique dishes and beer choices. Tonight's dinner, however, was disappointing all around. I had just recommended the place earlier in the day and talked myself into going back this evening. Our intent was to get burgers. We ordered medium and were promised there would be some pink. There was not. I ordered the Asian burger with "spicy Korean BBQ sauce" and Asian slaw. There was no sauce at all (literally, none) and when combined with the overcooking, left me with a dry, tasteless mass that was far less than I expected. The wife's (a portabello, carmelized onion, swiss) was also overcooked and unexciting. Mike's is a good concept. We need places like this around here, but unfortunately, at this price point, the quality and attention to detail needs to improve dramatically. read more

Service is fast and friendly. Food is delicious, ordered the Mikes Favorite burger with sweet potato fries. Arrived popping hot and very tasty. Tomato chutney is perfect for the burger. Nice beer selection and free samples to try and find the perfect brew. read more

I went for drinks with a friend. They were out if the ingredients to make two drinks on their cocktail menu. They didn't offer us a discount or a free drink for the inconvenience. I'll go to McGurk's next time. read more

This was the second worst meal I've ever had. The first beer I asked for was tapped, the second beer I asked for was tapped (the waitress had no idea and referred to Schlafly as Schafly). The fried onions on my jalapeño burger were cold, it was missing the bbq sauce mentioned in the description as well as the bacon, and I was never asked how I wanted my burger and it was cooked well done. Food is still great but beer prices are outrageous. 8.50 for a draft cider and 7.50 for a schlafly ipa. I'd maybe pay that in NYC but not here. read more

I loved this place! I'm not a beer drinker, so I can't vouch for that part. I started with the Thai Coconut Muscles and loved them. I also got the Mango Habanero Salmon and loved that just as much. We had to sit in a little corner by the kitchen but that wasn't a deal breaker. Worth a try! read more

We are always struggling to find good food in Ofallon. I have now been to Mikes more times than I can count and am so impressed with their food and service. Good quality food just done well. The first visit to Mike's was great. The service was great and the food was good. On this second visit, the service was non-existent (one waitress for the whole place) and the food was sub par. I ordered a burger medium but it was most definitely medium rare and it turned the bun to complete mush. On top of that the fries were cold. read more

Fantastic food! I visited Mikes last night and it is nothing like the outside portrays. The menu was a twist on your typical bar food and they had a great variety of brews on tap. The server, Annie, was very helpful, quick and friendly. All around wonderful experience we will be going back! We've been there a couple of times and the food was pretty good. The service was not. Took forever to get our drinks, they were not refilled and waiter was generally uninterested in providing good service. We were even charged extra for ranch dressing for the chicken strips my kids ordered. By the time we actually got the ranch, the kids were half finished with their meal. read more

Our bartender, Kristin, was wonderful! She was very knowledgeable on all the beers, extremely friendly and accommodating!! We went to Mike's since we had a coupon - knowing nothing about it. We were expecting a bar type atmosphere and food - were we surprised. The menu was like that of a restaurant with many options. When the food came, the presentation was really nice! We were surprised at how good what we had was and the food we saw while sitting there all looked good. We were told when we arrived that the kitchen was 45 minutes behind - which they had a large group but good for them telling us. We sat at a table and the waitress did not rush us one bit when the food came. This really is a great place - I sure hope they consider expanding into the building next door! Barb W. read more

Tried this place on a Friday night b/c a friend said they had good burgers. I got the Black & Blue burger and house fries. Both were very good. I only ate half the burger and took the rest home for the next day -- it tasted even better reheated! We had a really nice, laidback guy for our waiter and we were very happy with our service. We also thought the décor looked very hip, and didn't understand one reviewer's negative comments about it. I would be interested in eating here again and trying some other menu items that sounded good. read more

Consistently good, different twist on casual/bar food. Great service, food is always fresh. My favorite was the Banh Mi, but haven't seen it on the menu lately. Extensive selection of local and regional beers on tap and whiskies, as well as bottled beers. Smoke-free. Would feel comfortable taking the family, although the kids might like Red Robin better. read more
