LONG STORY SHORT: Zimbrick completely tried to rip off my brother and lied about what work needs to…read morebe done on his car. They made him think the car was unsafe to drive, so he did not have a vehicle to drive for two weeks, only to find out there was nothing wrong with his car. This is a review posted for my brother's experience specifically at the Zimbrick Honda dealership's service center on Grand Canyon Drive. AVOID THIS SERVICE CENTER AT ALL COSTS!! They are dishonest about what work your car needs, and they will try to rip you off completely. My brother was told by the Zimbrick sevice center that his car was leaking transmission fluid from the axle seals. They also mentioned that his air intake hose was about to tear, and it needed to be replaced immediately. Both of these were strange findings as his car is not that old and has relatively low mileage. So, he took the car to Goodyear (on 608 Washington Ave.) to get another quote and a second look. Zimbrick quoted him for $840 for the transmission fluid issues, while the folks at Goodyear quoted him for literally HALF the cost. However, they also said they couldn't find a leak. Apparently, his car's seals were totally fine. As for the air intake hose, Goodyear found that it's only slightly worn from weather and time, but it still looked fine. The mechanic at Goodyear said they wouldn't recommend my brother to go out of his way to replace it until a light comes on for it on the dashboard of the car Overcharging is standard for dealerships, so that's to be expected, but it is totally unacceptable to tell customers that urgent service must be completed when there are zero problems. Zimbrick inconvenienced my brother for two weeks because he couldn't drive his car during that time, and it turns out it was all a lie! BONUS ADVICE: Seriously, go to the Goodyear on 608 Washington Ave. when you need stuff done for your car. They're so honest and they're such standup people there. They went one step further after checking over my brother's car to say that they weren't comfortable charging him with anything because no services needed to be done. They didn't even charge my brother for the part they ordered because they will just send it back for him at no cost. How amazing is that, right?!

I went to this shop because the VW dealership next appointment is for September and this shop will take it right away. I told the attendant that my VW Passat TDI has a CEL (Check Engine Light) on, and I checked with a professional scanner tool and had active code P040C00, About EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) temperature sensor circuit low. I asked if the work on diesel engines, he say "yes". Next day I received his phone call with the diagnostics and confirmed what I told him. The estimated repairs will include replace -EGR cooler, -EGR valve and -EGR temperature sensor, total estimated $2,400. I asked why he want to replace the EGR cooler if I don't have any coolant consumption? and Why the EGR valve if I don't have any code about it? I just approved to replace the EGR temp sensor, for $300 parts and labor. plus $120 for diagnostics. And had to wait for two days for sensor. When done, I came to pick up my car and canceled $470 with my credit card. Next day, as soon I got in the interstate the CEL was on again. I scanned again and has the same fault code. I opened the hood and checked if there was any lack of connection and found that still has the old rusty/dirty sensor on. I took a picture of it and went back to the shop. I politely say I want my money back, because I have same code, same problem, he was about to make excuses about the fault code, then I confront him with the evidence of the picture of the old sensor. He went ballistic and kick me out of shop because he has "zero tolerance when someone call him liar". Guess what, I have zero tolerance with the SCAMMERS and lack of INTEGRITY.

Precision Automotive Service has earned my business with all my vehicles permanently!!! During a…read moreroutine oil change, I was told by a "big box" automotive establishment that I needed a new wheel bearing on my vehicle along with a new tie rod, which would then mean the car would also need aligned. The quote was nearly $1,000. They also told me I needed a completely new exhaust... $$$! So, only living here in the Madison area a short time and not really knowing many people, I decided to see who else was around. I sent ten yelp requests for an estimate to local auto shops looking to get only the wheel bearing replaced on my car. I received five responses within a few days. Two told me cost with labor would be $500-$650 and two said they really "needed" to get my car in their shops and "up on a lift" to give me a price. The fifth response was Chris from Precision Automotive. Chris responded right away within a few hours, and a full day before the others, with a detailed estimate of the repair which would get me out the door for almost half what the other two quoted me! So, there's no doubt where I chose. Upon leaving my car, I asked Chris to take a look at my tie rods and my exhaust. Not only did Precision live up to their quote, they told me that my tie rod was completely fine and did not need replaced and that an alignment was not necessary, only misdiagnosed due to the bearing being bad and the inexperience of proper diagnosis. Chris also told me that I didn't need a complete exhaust replacement, only that the pipe before my muffler had a hole in it and that was all that needed replaced and could be done for a tiny fraction of what I was quoted. So, not only did Precision get me out the door for nearly half the next best quote, they saved me from three unnecessary repairs! And not only did they do that, they got me to work (twenty minutes away) and back by lunch with the repair completed and my car ready to go! Before I drove away, I asked for a quote on a new front control arm needed for my mini-van and Chris, without hesitation, quoted me half what I was told at another locally owned auto shop! As I drove away, I noticed that my car wasn't making any grinding noises, the steering wheel wasn't vibrating and had no additional play, and my car wasn't pulling to the side when I broke! My car drove perfectly again. Precision went above and beyond, not only with pricing and a sound repair, but with customer service and honesty. They have earned my business and my loyalty. Moral of the story... I won't take my cars anywhere else again, and I absolutely and very highly recommend them for any service you need on yours!

We were able to check out the various cars on the floor without being hounded or bombarded by questions until we were ready to engage with a salesperson. While other places were clearly trying to sell us on their cars, only asking as much as needed for a potential sale and showing off their entire lineup, Acura's Joseph Gapinski got to know us, actually listening to what we wanted and needed. He was deliberate with where he directed our attention, ensuring his recommendations aligned with what we were looking for and taking care to mention features that would be especially applicable to us. He was understanding when we mentioned wanting to visit more places to get a feel for what's out there, and he was there for us when we returned to reassess. Throughout our visits, Joe was patient, thoughtful, and attentive--never pushy, and ever helpful. When it was freezing outside, he brought the cars we were interested in indoors so we could comfortably review them without ever facing the wind. He often picked up on our potential concerns and addressed them before we even got a chance to voice them, like when he noticed that the liftgate for a trunk was too high for me to comfortably reach (yes, I'm vertically challenged) and he demonstrated how it could be adjusted lest I thought it was just going to be an inconvenience to tolerate. When it came time to discuss numbers, he was transparent about the process and helped us navigate the options, sorting through the pros and cons, to determine the best route for us. Financing was stress-free and so much easier than expected, nothing like our previous experiences and all the horror stories out there. Our finance person was James and he was similarly affable and transparent, and just as easy to work with. He explained the papers and potential add-ons in layman's terms, made everything super easy to understand, and gave us the space to determine what made sense for us without any pressure or underhanded tactics. We ended up buying a new car here without any of the usual headaches typically associated with car shopping, and it's all thanks to Zimbrick Acura and Joe! We really appreciate Zimbrick Acura's authentic atmosphere and how Joe's considerate, customer-centric approach made each visit a delight; his attention to detail and genuine desire to connect with his customers shows just how much he (and by extension, Zimbrick Acura) cares. "The Best (Non-) Car Buying Experience I Have Ever Had."…read more I was sitting in my La-Z-Boy recliner on a Saturday evening when I came to the conclusion that I was going to look for a "new" car. I immediately began my research that weekend and started my search on the following Monday by visiting another luxury car dealership in the Madison area. Unfortunately, it was a less-than-satisfying experience. They were unwilling to come down one dime on the asking price. I was told that they were in possession of the car for only a week. OK, your decision! I'll take my money elsewhere, and I did. Their offer for my trade-in was average. My brother, who accompanied me, suggested we check out Acuras (at Zimbrick Acura), as he and my sister-in-law are extremely satisfied with their RDX (purchased at Acura of Madison) From the moment we walked in Zimbrick, I was immediately impressed with the way we were treated. Joe Gapinski, who met us at the door, referred us to salesperson Roy Fennman because he said that Roy would have more knowledge about the kind of vehicle that I was looking for. I was somewhat disappointed because Joe was the type of person I wanted to work with (i.e., low-key and up-front). Roy did not disappoint. He has been selling cars for years, and he knows what he is talking about. He was genuine, honest, and friendly. My original intent was to purchase a used car; however, Roy showed me a new 2024 2.0L TLX Tech that I, of course, immediately fell in love with. It was not a "bait and switch." Roy gave me his price on the vehicle which included a $2,000.00 end-of-year reduction. I countered his offer. Roy said that he would need to consult with Glenn Beckwith (New Car Sales Manager). This was not a "Let me talk to my manager" waste of my time but a real presentation of my offer to Glenn. I sat down with Glenn and made my case regarding the reasoning behind my offer. He immediately responded with a "yes," and we shook hands. No stare downs, no games; just two people making what I believe is the best kind of deal--one where both parties leave with a good feeling. I asked Glenn to make his offer good until the next day until 5:00 pm so that I could look at two pre-owned vehicles in Illinois that I had previously inquired about prior to coming to Zimbrick. Glenn said he understood, prepared my request in writing, and signed it. Long story short: The next day I purchased a 2022 with 15,500 miles in Illinois. Again, remember that my original intent was to buy a used car. If you haven't looked at Acuras, I encourage you to do so. The TLX I looked at was a beautiful and was a smooth ride. And, If you are looking for an excellent car-buying experience, I also encourage you to visit Zimbrick Acura and meet Roy and Glenn. They're the "real deal."

On the day of the replacement I brought my vehicle in to have them fix the recall. 21 minutes later they came into the waiting room to tell me they don't have the parts to fix the recall.
