Very professional does a great job. Corrected a crappy repair done by Checkered Flag Toyota for me. My insurance paid Checkered Flag and then I had to repay out of pocket because the dealership refused to honor their own guarantee on their work. My husband noticed some minor issues like buff marks on my vehicle at pick up at Mike's and they actually took it back and corrected the minor issues. Very satisfied. Mikes Paint & Body II Overall 3/5 Breakdown: Customer Service 4.5/5 Repair 4.8/5 Online System 2/5 In summary, my experience with Mike's Paint & Body was average; I was neither disappointed or extremely impressed. To begin, I do want to highlight how great their customer service was. I was very happy with how professional & courteous they were throughout the entire repair process. I was given a timely estimate and tentative date within 48 hours of my car being checked in. I think the cost estimate provided was pretty accurate and fair. To chronicle everything, my vehicle was checked in 10/28/2019 and I received my estimate 10/30/2019. When work commenced, I did not know what to expect. The estimated completion date given to me was 11/13/2019. All was well leading up to this date, I received generic text updates mentioning my vehicle being on track for completion on time. That remained the case up until 11/8/2019. I was informed a new estimate had been made and that the work being done on my vehicle would now complete on 11/20/2019. No big deal, I understand an estimate is just that: an estimate; things come up, no worries. From there on out, the text notifications stopped. There was an online system you could check which had the latest information on solely the estimated completion date. This had been updated to 11/20/2019 accordingly and never was updated again. I found myself having to call for any form of an update on my vehicle's status. As the new completion date neared, I called just to make sure all was well and was informed my vehicle was still on track for completion. It was reported that all was good to go and that I would receive a call when my vehicle was ready. The day of, I wound up calling myself around 3:30 in the afternoon because I hadn't heard anything all day and the shop closes at 5pm, so I wanted to ensure that if my vehicle was going to be ready that day, I made the proper arrangements to arrive and pick it up. When I asked, the front desk did not know the status of my car and asked if they could call me back shortly with an update. I agreed and patiently waited for the update, which eventually turned into another delay. My new date was 11/27. I went through the same process again, calling when I hadn't seen the online portal updated, seeking updates on if everything was still on track, and calling the day of pickup hoping that the work had been completed successfully. Once more, it was not and I was delayed again another week (12/4). 12/4 came quicker than the rest of the previous potential dates because by now I was questioning why the online portal hadn't received any updates, why I was no longer receiving texts, and how my original estimated date of completion was so severely underestimated. Once again, my date was delayed to 12/10 for completion. On 12/10, I did not call to check progress with my car. I did not receive a call from the shop with any updates. The day after (12/11) I did not hear any updates from the shop, the portal still had not been updated from 11/20. Finally I caved, 12/12, I called for an update. Finally good news: the car would be ready by 5! When I finally did receive my car back that day, looking at it, you wouldn't have known it was ever in an accident (which is all I could really ask for). They did a very good job, detailed my car and made me feel like the entire process was worth it. The employees at the shop were very nice to me as always and at the end of the day, I left happy and impressed with the work they'd done. One of my concerns was the paint service, I saw some reviews saying that their paint jobs had been hit or miss when it came to blending, but in all light, the paint job seems uniform. The only other complaint I could make was: aside from the collision damage, I had no other car troubles before. Within 24 hours of driving my vehicle, my TPMS light came on for a tire that was not impacted by my collision which was odd so I had to resolve that. I also came across an open bag of Doritos in my center console which was not mine because I very rarely eat in my car and definitely did not have a bag of chips in there before I brought it to the shop. I disposed of this and called it a day. Almost 72 hours after the pick up on 12/12, I am happy to report no other issues have come up, the car is in very good working order, and still rides just about as smooth as it did before the accident, and overall, I am happy with the service I received from Mike's Paint & Body II. read more

This is the most horrible place I've ever dealt with. I had gotten in a car accident on July 13th. My car went to this collision place on July 20th because my insurance company said that they were rated #1 so I agreed to send it there. They had my car for a month and three weeks. They kept telling one when date them tell me another it's been changed five times. Their customer service is horrible and they don't communicate with you I had to keep calling them. The lad y at the front desk even had the nerve to get smart. I just got my car back yesterday and I see marks and scratches that I didn't have before and not even on the side where the accident happened. I will NEVER return to this place nor recommend them to anybody. I'm only giving them a one star because I have to but they deserve none. read more

Came here because I got rear-ended & had to get my back bumper completely replaced. Repair was good & quick but overall would not recommend strictly due to their integrity. My damage was to the back of my vehicle, so why was my passenger seat visor completely messed up? When I brought my car back and asked them about it & one of the techs said he drove my car to a different location for additional repairs, noticed the visor but tried to say the sun warped it.. they had my car for 4 days.. Even if it did, it didn't look like that before, why should I accept it like that now?? So after going back & forth they agreed to contact my insurance, which i now know was said just to get me out the door bc I've heard no word from them or my insurance & it's been over 3 weeks. Bad business if you ask me.. TLDR: Bring your car at your own risk, and if you do, take pictures of EVERYTHING before & after. Learn from me! read more

My Land Rover was backed into in a parking lot so my insurance sent me to mikes paint and body. Thankfully they waited to receive the back ordered parts before I brought my car in for service so I was without a car for the shortest time possible. Recently my daughter was hit while driving straight down the road as another young driver pulled out of a parking lot. The damage was nasty and I thought "No way someone blends this." Got on Yelp and handed my daughter info on 3 top rated shops. She went to Mine's and decided that was her choice. Mike's helped her out at every turn of the head. AND their work is STELLAR! Absolutely amazing! Best body and paint people around. And SO nice; the service was second to none. They really helped my daughter navigate through this lesson in "adulting." Had some relatively minor repairs to my 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (replace rear bumper and fairing). Spoke with Carla (Production Manager) on a Wednesday afternoon and was scheduled for an estimate that following day. VERY fair estimate, with Carla indicating that she would order the parts, which should be available in 3-4 days -- and they were! My work was scheduled for several days later; I dropped-off my vehicle at 0730, and the work was completed by 2:30 PM. EXCELLENT job -- good as new! Plus, they washed my car (exterior) and vacuumed AND "Armor All'd" my interior dashboard, console, doors, etc. -- it looked fantastic! i hope to never again be in an accident, of course -- but it I ever am, I'm heading back to Mikes' Paint & Body II! :-) read more

Made an appointment for 2pm, I got tied up at work and wasn't able to leave early enough to make it at 2pm I called mikes paint and body and let the receptionist know I got tied up at work and asked if I could still come, she wasn't very understanding, I stated I could be there about 2:20. She said ok and that if I couldn't make it in time I would have to reschedule for another day. I walked through their front door at 2:24 and she said I was too late and I would have to reschedule. 4 minutes! What a complete waste of time and energy attempting to do business with them. I understand being on time is important I made every attempt to make my appointment at the set time but due to circumstances I was 4 minutes late. It's unbelievable that a business is so uptight they won't work with a potential customer to earn their business. I will never attempt to do business with them again and plan on sharing this story with all of my car enthusiast friends I have met at all the local car shows. 4 minutes! read more

The company did a good job on fixing the damage to the quarter panel of my vehicle; however, seriously failed on the details. My trunk was full of sanded paint, my gas fill-up pipe had sanded paint visible inside of it, and the inside of the vehicle had the same material. They scratched up my rear bumper in 5 different places and I took it back to show them. They spent 10 minutes half-ass buffing out the scratches. I was told they would contact me to repaint the bumper since I wasn't happy, and I have yet to receive that phone call. If you use this shop, take pictures of your entire vehicle when you drop it off, so you can prove the damages that they cause in the shop from carelessness. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Unless you want car parts stolen off your car and replaced. I had a newer car no more than 5 years old and brought the car here to be fixed after an accident. Accident had nothing to do with the rotors and some how magically when i got it back they needed to be replaced and when you looked at them they looked as if they were rusted though and sitting in a junk yard for years. Dishonest people! They have been getting the bad comments off some how so i will just continue to repost! read more

My wife and I have used Mike's Paint and Body II in Chesapeake twice, Both times we have been impressed with the professionalism of the staff and the quality of the work. This shop takes pride in doing great work and it shows. They explain everything they are going to do, meet or exceed time estimates, and also help you with arranging your car rental. They make what is generally a crappy situation as easygoing as possible. I am sure there are many good body shops in the area, but I doubt there are any better than Mike's. read more
