We ordered pizza for delivery at 7pm on a Saturday night. I was quoted an hour to an hour and 15 minutes for delivery, which seemed reasonable for the time we were ordering. At the 1 and a half hour mark, I called them up and asked about where our delivery was. The woman who answered said it had only been 1.5 hours, which she claimed was their delivery time quote. When I said what the quote had been when I placed the order, she pretty much implied I must have misheard. Ok, whatever. I then gave her the name that the order was under. "Uh yea, we don't have that name" she replies like I'm an idiot, instead of trying to be helpful. I finally give her the address and then she says they just left to deliver it. At this point I'm wondering if we are even going to get the pizza at all. Well we finally get it after 2 hours. Yay we get to eat dinner at 9pm! The pizza was actually very nice. Not as good as our favorite pizza places at home, but definitely above average. But I don't care if your pizza is the best pizza I've ever had, if it takes double the quoted time for delivery and then the employees treat you like a moron. I've been getting pizza here for nearly 20 years. I literally moved to the next county over and STILL prefer to come here for pizza. AND THEN...just when I thought it couldn't get any better...I GOT THE JALAPEÑO POPPER PIZZA!!!! And you know what? There's also BACON AND PINEAPPLE ON IT!!!!! I never eat midnight snacks, but you bet your sweet bippy I just got up, at 11:30 at night, and ate myself a delicious sweet and savory and spicy slice! and I might go back for another one.... Hands down one of the friendliest pizza places around. Perfect for families and large groups. We have regularly been visiting here after trips to Bear Valley (stopping in Lodi to visit family after-tax afterwards). All the staff are super friendly, the pizzas are great, and they have just enough video games to keep the kids occupied. There is a large TV to watch the big games (there were plenty of 49ers fans for the recent NFC Championship 1/21/20 game). We plan to always continue coming here on a regular basis. If you are passing through this is a nice place to stop for some pizza. Easy access from main road. Parking can be tight so park across the street at Save-mart very easy and plenty of space. Great atmosphere very crowded and plenty of seats. Place was pretty clean. Itching to complain about. Bathrooms were clean as well that's a big deal with me- is there soap? If not how does staff wash their hands. Luckily plenty of soap Staff was friendly and informative of the menu. Pizza was really good. Got the pineapple and meatball very good. Meatballs home made from scratch must try and add in the pineapple oh so good. Also got the breadsticks perfect amount is seasoning. The four stars is for price for two people with two personal pizzas and one appetizer over $30 with only water to drink. Well now. After another "Italian restaurant" in town screwed up our Reservation and took NO OWNERSHIP, we decided to come to Mike Pizza, which we saw on the way. Wow! Daughter loved the Veggie burger, which was actually presented well. Instead of haphazardly slapping a nova burger on a bun, it was cut in half and served in a sandwich roll with all the fixings on the side. My wife got the chicken wings, plain, though she said it was quite peppery. She doesn't do spice much so eaters be aware. No big deal for me but I crave spicy. Finally my son and I both chose pizza (what better else?!). Wow talk about finding a nugget! The pizza crust was crunchy and soft at the same time, the tomato sauce juuust tart enough and well hell's bells the cheese was piping hot and melty! The cashier was very friendly and patient with so detailed order, and the manager, Bunnie, brought my food out to me and asked me if it was exactly what I wanted the way I wanted it. I've frequented Mike's many times over the last five years. The pizza is pretty good and they have gluten-free crust available. Service has been iffy the last few times I've been in. I'd like to attribute to pandemic/economic/workforce-related concerns, but who knows. The last time I visited, while waiting for my pizza I watched an employee packaging finished appetizers and pizzas with bare hands. I wouldn't have been bothered by this if I didn't also see him itching and/or wiping his (unmasked) face periodically without washing up before touching the food again. This was in plain view of customers and to make matters worse there is a hand sink literally right next to the workstation where this was happening. Luckily he did not touch my pizza! Though we've had a number of delicious meals at Mike's, I'm pretty put off by the food handling practices I saw and it'll be awhile before I visit again. read more

So we went to Angels Camp for the first time and since it's a small town, I wasn't expecting for lots of fast food restaurants in the area and besides we were staying at a timeshare so we cooked most of our meals. It was our last night over there and we tried out this place. The pizza was so good, so perfect lots of cheese and toppings. Pizza that I haven't tasted in any other pizza place in the US lol. Now that I'm back in S. Ca i was trying to look for a pizza place that would taste atleast the same as Mike's. I think I'm going to go back to Angel's camp because of mike's pizza. Lol read more

The gluten-free (gf) pizza is amazing! I was recently diagnosed with celiac disease and the cashier was very understanding and reassured us that the pizza would be prepared separately and we saw her write "SEVERE ALLERGIES" across the order before she handed it to the chefs. The pizza was large for a gf pizza (fed 4 people with 2 or 3 slices each) and it was delicious, nobody could tell it was gf. The restaurant is cute and family friendly, with various activities and video games and tons of booths. Celiac is so isolating and it's been so hard to find places to eat out that I can trust to take my health seriously, so it was so nice to eat somewhere "normal" for a change since my diagnosis and have the peace of mind that it would not make me sick. Do NOT go here!!! Absolutely no COVID-19 precautions are enforced here -- for customers AND employees. There were workers and cooks without masks or with masks around their chin, but not over their mouth and nose. (You already have one, just put it on). They also allow customers to come in without masks -- some lady was literally COUGHING behind me with no mask on!! I don't know what it's like to live here as a local, but as someone who was visiting the area for the state parks, it is just so dangerous and dirty. Although the atmosphere is authentic and amusing to what a pizza parlor should be. Be warned if you go order a pizza to go they will push your order back and serve everybody else before you. They will keep you on hold for fifteen minutes on the phone and then blame you for why the pizza is not ready. They will tell you fifteen minutes and give you a water glass while you wait, but it will take 45 minutes before you get your pizza while every Tom, dick, and harry will get served before you because they are eating there or friends. The staff will ignore phone calls because they are talking to their co-workers or flirting with local teenagers. Good pizza, but horrible service to say the least. read more

Mikes Pizza, Angel Camp One of the first places we went to in Angels camp was Mike's Pizza. We heard their gluten-free pizza is exceptional. It was one of the best we've ever had! We called the pizza in because we were coming into town late and we were starved. When we got there, the pizza was ready to go. The waitress also hooked us up with paper plates, knives, forks, the works because she knew we were going straight to our resort. The pizza was so good , we went back for more later in the week. I rarely go back to restaurants, even if they're good because there are many too choose from but, I had to see if lightening would strike twice and it did.
