The stars are based strictly on the pizza, it's gooooood! However, the way they operate is ridiculous! Sometimes you can't even get through to them on the phone...it just rings and rings and rings, other times you can call and call and call and you just get a "busy" signal the whole time (and yes, this is DURING business hours), seriously, how do you not have multiple lines or, at least, call waiting? The times when they do answer on the first or second try, I kinda feel like I won the lottery. If you ARE lucky enough to get through to them be prepared for a lengthy wait (one day we waited over 3 hours for our pizza to be delivered...we are literally less than 1 mile down the street from them, they did discount the price for the inconvenience)...there are times when I'm craving Mikes but settle for dominoes or pizza hut because it's SO much easier to order. read more

I was super hungry so I walked in this place. I was the only customer... They don't take ATM, half of the restaurant's equipment is out on the lobby floor. I got two large slices with a 16oz drink for 4.50 slices sucked it tasted like cardboard but I was super hungry so I ate it. Mike's Pizza is located in the shopping center with Stater Bros. on the corner of Valley Center and Arrow Hwy. Pros: *Lunch specials on the cheap. For less than $5, you can get two big slices of pepperoni pizza and a drink, or one big slice and a freshly made side salad and a drink. There's a couple of other combinations but I've never ordered them so I forget what they are. *They also have an all-you-can-eat deal that isn't too expensive and looks good. Everything there is made fresh to order and you can immediately tell the quality. *Really tasty crust and pizzas, with a big selection of toppings. *They do deliver. Cons: *If you're looking for friendly smiles and excellent customer service, you won't find it here. The employees are just this side of rude, kind of making you feel like you're an imposition. But they do get your order right. *Like I said, the food is made fresh, so it's not altogether quick. the exception is the lunch specials, because the pizza is made and is under a heat lamp. But they do warm up the pizza for you, and it doesn't have that "been sitting under a heat lamp for four days" taste. *You can only get pepperoni for the lunch specials; no other kind is available. But the pepperoni is good, so it's not a problem for me. *Mike's Pizza makes pizzas for some of the area schools, so right about 11 am, it's a ZOO in there on school days. I dropped in at 1:10pm on a Monday to try their lunch special, because I was in a bit of a rush. The ladies behind the counter informed me that they had no pizza slices available, and that it would be ready in about 10 minutes. That's okay, I said, how about a sandwich? They said sorry, no sandwiches available. I asked if they had any food available, and they said no. I'm not sure how long this place can stay in business if they have no food during lunchtime. If you want a good pizza, go to Mike's. I love to pull a big slice out, fold it in half an shove it in my mouth. It is incredibly good. The sauce and topping are perfect. The crust is tasty and real New York style. I also like the salads. There is one that has salami, cheese, peppers and more. There's also pasta and sandwiches. I have only had one pizza here so far, but it was really good. The toppings were tasty, the sauce as good, the cheese was salty, and the crust was big and flavorful. I would have liked to see more toppings, in terms of the amount applied to my pizza, but that's just a small note. The prices were amazingly good (which might explain the only adequate topping application) and the time it took was about 20min on a Friday evening. Stumbled upon this spot when I was out doing laundry at the laundromat next door. Little hole in the wall, but the pizza is bomb! The dough is thick and all ingredients are fresh. So glad we gave it a chance, this has become my new pizza place. It's owned by a Mexican family who give great service. They are very nice and I'm so glad I found this place. Was recommended by a friend to check it out. Took my wife here for lunch and must say, the pizza was good but not great. The only thing good was the crust. The sauce was alright and so was the toppings. The only thing I didn't like about the pizza is the cheese!! When I was waiting for my slice of pizza, I saw that they use slice cheese!! Which pizza places use slice cheese?? The cheese tasted like the store name brand sliced cheese!! Another thing is that when my wife got the packets of parmesean cheese and peppers, she got scolded by one of the employees!! This did not fair well to me. Not coming back here again. read more

I live in Orange County now and if there are 2 things that I miss about San Dimas it's Mike's Pizza and Capri Deli! I love pizza. I especially love mushrooom pizzza! This review is solely based on a mushroom pizza with extra sauce cooked well done. It's a very simple pizza, it's a very good pizza and for some reason it tastes better here than anywhere else I've ordered it! Their crust is slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The sauce is great. The mushroom and cheese taste fresh. In all the years I've been ordering from this place the only bad experience I had was one time where they gave me no sauce instead of extra sauce. We went this weekend and they had a deal for a small 1 topping for $5.99. If that was available where I currently live, I'd get FAT on pizza! read more

The pizza is "doughy" or soft and chewy which is our preference. We had the deluxe with Italian sausage and another pepperoni pizza plus wings. Wings are ok but pizza is great.
