Sazarac...usually my favorite drink... not here
    Melissa P.

Came in for a Sazarac and a snack and was pretty disappointed. The Sazarac was over ice and was strongly flavored with the absinthe, which is typically a rinse on the glass. The crab cake... well first thing iceberg lettuce is in the news giving people explosive diarrhea but it was a good idea to garnish my plate with dead iceberg lettice. The crab didn't taste like fresh crab and it was full of fillers. Not what I'm use to. The atmosphere was meh. The restaurant itself was clean and pretty. The service. Meh as well. It wasn't bad but not a stand out either.

My third visit. This one was much better. My prime rib was tender and juicy and I had enough for a lot of leftovers. Got the sweet green beans this time as my substitute for baked potato. Very good. Pleasantly surprised this time that the butter served with the rolls, was soft instead of rock hard like the last two times. My son got the Coconut Shrimp which he said were very tasty and his only complaint was that they were not jumbo as described just large. Annette was our server and she was outstanding. Much happier this time! I also took pictures of the menu as their prices have gone up and there's no 2026 menu anywhere. I would make one suggestion to the restaurant if they ever read reviews. The best prime rib I have ever had in my life, the entire outside was crusted in cracked black pepper and garlic which gave it an outstanding flavor. Might want to try that!

Another win for dining in Conway. To finish out our stay here we had dinner with a high school friend of mine at this establishment. Besides the reviews here I had heard from a few locals that this place was a good place for dinner and nobody has anything bad to say about it. I'm happy to confirm that was the same result for us. We were seated quickly even without a reservation around 5:30 this evening. We ordered the bang bang shrimp for an appetizer and a round of cocktails. They were served fairly quickly considering how busy they were at the time. For dinner I got the pecan crusted white fish and my friend got the blackened white fish. Both tasted delicious which was great. My wife got a Cesar salad and a loaded bake potato and it was also good. The service was great as well. The waiter and other staff were very attentive and checked on us regularly. The overall feel of the place is casual upscale. It's nice without being fancy. It has kind of a rustic vibe to it that is nice to look at. We enjoyed our experience here and would come back again when we're in town.

Mike's Place continues to be consistently great experience with polite hostesses, attentive servers and delicious food. I've never been disappointed during any of my visits. You can make reservations or just walk in. They offer a variety of seating options. Bar, tables or booths. My favorite appetizers are sweet potato fries and Parmesan zucchini. Perfection in taste and serving sizes. During this visit I chose the rib eye steak . It was cooked to my request, flavorful and very tender. For my sides I chose a fully loaded potato and buttered corn Serving sizes are large, I have enough leftovers to take home for at least q more meal. It is a bit on the chilly side so bring a sweater or light jacket. Give Mike'S a try, you won't regret it.

I attended a private event here for the first time, and it is such an adorable spot. Right in the heart of downtown, the holiday décor makes it feel straight out of a Hallmark Christmas movie. I ordered the pecan-encrusted whitefish with a raspberry bordelaise, along with sweet potato fries and parmesan spinach. I know you're probably thinking: raspberry on fish sounds questionable....but it was a pleasant surprise. The sauce added just the right touch of sweetness, and I can absolutely see why this is such a popular dish. I grabbed dessert to go and tried both the turtle cheesecake, which was rich and indulgent, and the crème brûlée, which was perfectly creamy. Every bite was worth it. :) The atmosphere is warm and cozy and the staff were so incredibly kind!

This place is great. My wife and I enjoyed our meal. Emma, our server was wonderful. My wife had the Club sandwich with Cajun fries and honey mustard dipping sauce. The fries were nice and hot and remained crunchy. The honey mustard sauce is one of the best around. I had the Prime Rib Dip with a side order of Parmesan Spinach. The Parmesan Spinach was awesome! The entire establishment has a nice decor and ambiance. If you happen to be in Conway, Ar old downtown district, give them a try.

Once again Mike's Place for the win! Took our 15 year old to watch UCA volleyball and she requested a steak for dinner cuz she was hungry! So the wife and I took her to Mike's. Shrimp Brantley was a good first course appetizer! Avery and I just had to deal with not eating the french bread! My wife on the other hand are the bread in front of us after letting it soak up all that buttery goodness.... Just plain rude. Side salad was perfect as usual. Crawfish bisque was amazing! I could eat a gallon of that stuff. Avery had never had it before, and cleaned her cup. Prime rib came out looking a little over cooked so I was worried. I took the knife and made the first cut and was excited to see it wasn't! Perfect medium and so juicy! Both avery and I tore into our steaks, the wife ordered her standard filet and it was absolutely perfect! Avery tried to sneak a few bites of it! If you are looking for quality and consistency you have to go to Mikes! Best place in town and has been for 20 years!

Food is always delicious! I love all the seafood options. My brother said mikes creole was fantastic and I enjoyed my crab legs. The service is always 10/10. Very nice, kind staff. The restaurant is beautiful inside and out. The patio/ outside area is very nice. Always enjoy coming to mikes place. It's a go-to for my family/ friends in Conway!

Took the photo a little late because the shrimp was so good I couldn't stop eating it. We got the spinach dip and shrimp and cheese fritters as appetizers and I highly recommend both as they were phenomenal. The bread they bring out is also incredible. The service was so good and each course was brought out at the perfect time. Additionally I don't think my drink ever reached the bottom of the glass before they were around to refill it. It's a very nice restaurant but not pretentious type of nice which also made the experience great. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area! I drove from Little Rock and it was well worth the commute.

Don't get me wrong the food was actually good, but way overpriced for what you get. For instance the Fish and Chips were $16 and you only got 3 medium size pieces of fish, and a handful of potatoes. The service was decent even though they were pretty packed for graduation. I think they probably pride themselves on being a whisky bar since they have a menu completely dedicated to them. I was a little disappointed they weren't playing Irish music at all. I could see drinking here, but food quantity needs to come up for the price, and the music needs to get the scene, since all the decor is Irish.

It was several miles off the main highway, but we decided to give it a try anyway--not worth the drive or time. The eating area was clean but all the knick knacks needed a good dusting. There were several daily specials posted but without prices and we didn't ask...mistake #2. We got an onion rings appetizer. They were good. I ordered the stuffed potato with brisket. It was room temperature and had one tiny slice of brisket cut into four pieces hidden by cheese and sour cream. It was ok. I mean how badly can you mess up a potato? My husband ordered the Cajun sampler. The proteins were delicious-fried fish, shrimp, crawfish, but that's it. We are Louisianians born and bred. It came with cups of gumbo and red beans and rice. I'm not sure what was in the first cup, but it wasn't gumbo and was pretty much inedible. The crackers with the gumbo were so old, they were rancid. You could smell the odor as soon as you opened the package. The red beans and rice were flavorless except for waaaay too much red pepper (tons of Tony Chacherie's does not make it Cajun). There was Texas toast--should have had hush puppies, but whatever. We drank water. THEN we got the bill--$55 for lunch before the tip. Even though parts of the meals were good, it was not worth the price or the detour.

No one was at the front and it took almost 5 minutes for anyone to notice we were there. Best part is their music wasn't working the whole evening, so we got to enjoy the lovely sounds of awkward silence, the kitchen phone ringing, the dishwasher running, and our waitress listening to youtube on her phone. For two people with two very sad steaks, one side each, bread, and 3 coronas came out to over $200. Ordered a rare filet, it was served medium. It was covered in seasoning I assume to mask the poor quality of the filet. My husband got the ribeye and complained of a very odd taste in his mouth the whole time. I could've ordered the exact same meal at outback for half the price and had a better experience. The cold untoasted bread they served that you had to pay for literally looked and smelled like bagged sliced bread. We were one of 3 tables the entire 2 hours we were there. It took almost an hour to get our steaks with only 2 tables there before us. It took our waitress about 10 minutes to just run our card and finish our check so we could leave. She took her sweet time either being on her phone or getting drinks for other tables etc while we were waiting. My husband said he's never seen a slower moving waitress and it was insane how long everything took considering there were only 6 other people in the entire restaurant. When they did get some music to play, they played the same 3 very obnoxious jazz songs on repeat, and the volume varied the entire time. Sometimes it was too loud to hear each other talk, then there'd be a gap of silence for about 5 mins, then the music would start playing at such a low level you could hear the waitress's phone playing youtube clear across the restaurant. One of the saddest overpriced dining experiences I've had in a long time. You could tell the second you walk in that no one really gives a crap. The tables are very awkwardly placed, the lighting was unpleasant, there was one light going through a flicker cycle the whole night. All the bar chairs (which no one was sitting in) were haphazard and everything just looked like it was falling apart or unkempt. It's sad because you could really do a lot with this space, but whoever is managing this place is running it into the ground. You can tell based on the fact that they had a total of 4 tables the entirety of Saturday night that this place won't last much longer. I'll be shocked if it lasts through the year.
