I rarely as a business owner ever complain but the owner of this Restaurant needs to really change her attitude and how she approaches operating her business with her staff is in the wrong. Coming out and complaining that she cannot keep employees is it only resemblance of the actual leader ship that is running the establishment. They run out of food they are not practicing COVID-19 safety practices and worst they mess up your receipt and try to double charge you for extra money and then will not clear up the problem and insult you if you question why a charge that is incorrect on your bill is there. Stay away from this place food has gone down hill and the woman who runs this place needs to retire, she is not cut out to run a business. read more

I loved the rustic look of this restaurant and with the smoke from the pits wafting through the porch area (where we were sitting), we were primed for a good barbecue meal. We didn't even mind ordering from the counter and sitting ourselves. However, we were a bit disappointed with the food quality. My wife and I both opted for the pulled pork sandwich plate. The pork, though plentiful and tender, had very little evidence of smoke and not a bit of bark was present. The sauces we tried (mild, sweet and NC vinegar) were so-so. Our sides of fried okra had no salt and the homemade potato chips were not fresh. We will probably try the other BBQ places the next time we are in town. read more

I'm giving this place 5 stars even though my smoked chicken wasn't that great. I took bites of my husbands brisket and pulled pork which were extremely tender and juicy. My dad got the ribs and said they were some of the best he's ever had. For sides we had the Mac and cheese, slaw and Mountain Dew apples. All were fabulous! This place wasn't our first choice, but it was open. We found the owner was the cook and the server today. He asked us if we still wanted to eat there. We decided to stay and kept it easy ordering four pulled pork sandwiches with chips. He brought our food out quickly and loaded us up with the pork. It was some of the best, moist, flavorful pork I've ever had. We talked BBQ since we're from Texas. He brought us a sample of Brunswick stew that was pretty awesome and also some brisket. Enjoyed some great pulled pork here. Was super tender and the sauce was on point. Warmed bun was a good touch. Only thing missing for me was some raw onion on the sandwich. The ppl was extremely nice. Place is kinda small for me with only 5 tables inside, but there is some outside seating as well. No refills on the soda though. And it's $2.14 per can, which is pricey. This place was pretty bad. The reviews were a bit deceiving. We had the brisket plate $13 which came with 2 sides. The sides were decent. I love brisket so I always try it at BBQ places. It was not bad but a bit salty probably due to a lot of pepper rub. My husband ordered the ribs which must have been the worst we ever had. The place was super cute and the server was great. It's always a hit or miss with little hole in the wall places and this was a miss. I only have two stars instead of one because the place was very cute and the server was kind. :) read more

This is a hole-in-the-wall spot that serves solid BBQ, or perhaps more appropriately, "Bar-B-Q". I was in the area for a wedding and saw a bunch of signs for Bar-B-Q on the highway. Apparently Blue Ridge is quite the spot for this! Joe's was closed, so we ended up here. It really is "trackside" it feels almost like you're in a Bar-B-Q trailer. They were quite busy around 1:30 PM on a Saturday. We managed to find a table that we could all squeeze into. We ended up ordering a bunch of things to share including the brisket, chicken, sausages, and wings. My favorite was probably the wings. They serve the entire wings (none of the separating drumlet and wing-dings nonsense!?). They use a dry rub on the wings that had a nice kick! The brisket was fine, but I've had better. read more

We have visited BlueRidge often and tried most all the BBQ joints here. This one is our favorite! We had the brisket, pork, kielbasa and ribs. I would give the brisket and ribs 1st place! The others are great but I loved the ribs!! They had so much meat and had a great bark. I ate most of them without the great sweet Sauce they supplied (they keep it warm for you) garlic bread was to die for as was the coleslaw. Sweet tea lived up to my southern expectations. My fiancé and I came to Blue Ridge on a mini vacation. In our quest to find some good bbq, we googled and this was the first place we picked and decided to check it out. I'm glad we did! Mike's is very welcoming on the outside and super cute on the inside. It's very quaint. The minute we walked in, we were greeted by the lovely and very sweet waitress/hostess, Heather. She immediately asked us what we would like to drink as she sat us. She wasted no time. In between taking care of our table she was helping several other tables simultaneously. She proceeded to ask us what we would like to eat and food was served less than 5 minutes later! It's probably the quickest service I've EVER experienced. Heather continued to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Never once dismissing us or having us wait. The food was absolutely incredible and exceeded our expectations. So all in all, food, service, atmosphere - i'd give it 6 if I could. When we come back to GA, Mike's will definitely be part of the itinerary! read more

So moist and flavorful! The ribs in the wig combo were so delicious, the meat was falling off the bone. As far as the wings. They did not have that great of a flavor as the pork did. Got the pulled pork sandwich, Mountain Dew apples (better than they sound), baked beans (a must try!!!) and a new side, cheesy smoked bacon au gratin potatoes. Everything was delicious. I loved the lemonade. Only thing I would change is the food was served extremely hot. Too hot. Had to wait a sustainable amount of time to even let the food from stop steaming to eat it. Also no free refills on lemonade or soft drinks. Come on now. At least one free refill should be given. It's also very cramped on the inside. But decorated very cute. The pork sandwich was amazing ! The sauce is good and all the sides were great! We got a pulled pork sandwich, sliced chicken sandwich, baked beans, Mountain Dew stewed apples, coleslaw and Mac and cheese. The only reason for a 4-stars instead of 5 is because the chicken sandwich was really bland and the apples were undercooked. Other than that, it was great and the service was good! Cool little joint with fantastic pulled pork and sides. I had the pulled smoked chicken, but it was actually sliced chicken breast. Very moist, but a little bland on flavor. However, my wife and son both had the pulled pork and loved it. I tried theirs and it was fabulous. Pinto beans were on point as well. This is worth the stop if traveling through Blue Ridge.
