(Actually anywhere and I've been a lot of places around the country as well as Europe). I usually eat at the bar because the bartenders, Matt, Anthony & Kyle are awesome! They make all kinds of cocktails I've never heard of or tasted (and if you don't like it? They'll fix another to your liking) Food? Awesome! I'm a beef eater and had the filet Pittsburg style. Warm pink center, charcoaled outside. Not many restaurants have the heat to pull this off, but they do. The chef is from New York and knows his sea food! The manager Tosha and owner Patrick are awesome! Atmosphere, camaraderie are extraordinary. I could go on but I think you get the idea. .

Beyond her, sadly, ROE. Is just an extremely over priced restaurant. Our oysters were delicious, but at $3.25 each they should have included a couple of pearls. I ordered the Shellfish- Roll. It was Lobster tonight. It was over cooked, dry and way over seasoned. Good Lobster only needs butter guys! Keith ordered the whole Pompano. We knew it was a whole fish but didn't count on some of the internal organ juices being included. The top side of the fish was delicious- plate side was soaking in jerk and fish gut juices. Great location, great vibe- just way too expensive for what you get.

The atmosphere was upscale without feeling stiff special enough for a celebration, yet warm and comfortable for the entire family. Our waitress, Kayla, was absolutely wonderful. She was friendly, attentive, and helped make the evening feel genuinely special. It felt like she was using some of that Georgia southern charm! Every course impressed us. From the starter to the entrées, everything was prepared beautifully and full of flavor. We even ordered dessert, which we almost never do, and it was worth every bite. The best way I can describe the food is big-city quality meets Georgia country comfort and hospitality. Our kids loved it, my wife loved it, and I loved it. We consider ourselves serious food people, and The Black Sheep easily earned five stars from our entire family. If you're vacationing in Blue Ridge and looking for a wonderful meal and memorable experience, make a reservation here. You will not be disappointed!

An old time atmosphere with charming brick walls and fire places and I wouldn't be surprised it the creaking wooden floors were original. Lol So in honor of an old time building I just had to order the Old Time Fashion. A never had before Bacon Old Fashion. Bacon and bourbon just had to be good right? Well it was amazing. Elijah Craig Bourbon, Barrel Smoked Maple Syrup, Rosemary & Orange with a strip of Candied Bacon! The appitizer was a huge table hit. Shrimp and crawfish fritters. Covered in cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese with fire roasted poblano peppers, corn salsa, remoulade and green onions. Holy cow. My main I went with the server recommendation of Lobster Ravioli with scallops and shrimp in a black garlic champagne cream sauce. All of this was finished off with some fresh Parmesan cheese over the top. It pays to listen what is recommended. It was fantastic. Exceptional service throughout the meal with charming interaction made the whole experience fabulous. This is going down as a must try when you visit Blue Ridge GA.

This was about…read more10-15 minutes from campus (downtown Dahlonega) I attended a wedding of my friends Katherine and Chris at the winery - honestly I didn't taste any of the wine (yes I know, bad) but enjoyed myself. The venue is pretty spectacular with great views of the surrounding hills and valleys along with the vineyards as the hang of the side of the mountain. There were two aspects that pushed my opinion down a bit, neither are really the fault of the venue or business so I've stayed with the 5-stars. The wedding was held in an outdoor pavilion with great views, but during the first week of August quite hot. There are ceiling fans but they didn't help too much - I was sweltering in my jacket and tie by the time the ceremony ended (just be aware if you book something here during the hot season). The second, there are a lot of stairs as you are on the side of a mountain. If you have a hard time traversing a lot of stairs, there are other means of getting around so once again be aware. The main "hall" has windows with fantastic views. I thought the food was exceptional and wish I had taken more photos, but there were a lot of poor lighting (I was seated next to the dance area). My apologies for the missing check in and the lack of photos but I didn't want to be obnoxious at a wedding. Overall I love the rustic charm of this place and plan to return and more fully explore the wine offerings. I thought the service was exceptional with very accommodating staff, especially the bartenders.

We parked at the bottom of the venue and had to climb the stairs to the top. If you're lucky, you might catch a ride in the golf cart, but if you're seated in the back, hold on tight because it's a steep ride! We came for the Sunday brunch buffet, which features a different theme each month and never disappoints. If brunch isn't your thing, you can enjoy a wine tasting in the tasting room located below the main dining area. If you're there for brunch, you're also allowed to go back and forth between the tasting room and dining room during your allotted table time. I definitely recommend visiting any time of year; the views alone are worth the trip!
