I love to going to Mikey's on a Sunday night. You don't have to fight for a parking spot and you don't need to pay for it either. I love that Mikey's does a pizza of the month--we got Silence of the Buffalo chicken pizza for Halloween month ofc. They also do a seasonal drink menu. All the drinks are thoughtfully curated and the bartender makes sure they taste delicious before handing it off. We got a boozy root beer float and it was served in a monster 32oz cup that you can keep. This drink is big enough to share between 2-3 people. They keep the place pretty casual and fun. It's a cool place for friends or dates to hangout at. After eating piping hot pizza, you can hop on over to 16 bit and play some games. I realized I never rated this location. It's Mikey's, it's delicious. It's charming. It's seemingly always pretty busy. You know how it is. Unless you're reading this review having never experienced Mikey's. Well, they have gigantic slices of pizza that are deeply satisfying. They have dipping sauces that make the experience so much better (usually the cups are by the sauces but I think you have to ask for them now because they weren't out last time I was there). The sodas are unexpectedly delicious. I really don't think you can go wrong ordering anything here. I tried the boneless wings for the first time and thought they were great. There's a fun, divey vibe, the service is always friendly and quick (quick if there isn't a large line and a lot of people dining in that is). Mikey's is quintessentially Columbus, it's something I always recommend people coming in from out of town try. I almost always just get a slice of cheese with the garlic sauce, but they're special flavors (like the hot chicken takeover pizza ) are always worth checking out! read more

It's so nice that Mikey's is located right next to 16Bit. If you've ever had a couple of drinks and are hungry, you can stop right next door to get some pizza. There is mainly metered parking around this area so finding a spot can get a little iffy if it's busy. The inside is nice and clean. Order: Slice of cheese pizza & 10 Hot Honey Garlic wings Pros: The slice of cheese pizza was a nice size. The inside of the store is spacious for seating. Actually, it was a lot bigger than I thought it would be inside. Cons: I am mad at the wings!!! They cook the wings plain and then put the sauce on the side in a container. You have to toss the wings yourself. I was sooo disappointed because all the sauce went to the bottom of the container and they didnt adhere to the wings at all. The sauce hot honey garlic sauce has potential though. Oooo and the wings are $1 a piece (i.e., 10 wings for $10) not worth it all! The cheese pizza was dry! I just drove to this location on my lunch break 4.9.2024 and got 2 slices of pepperoni and a diet coke. This was $20. It was put in a bag and given to me, the guy was very nice. I got home and opened it and had 2 extremely burnt pieces of pizza that were inedible. I tried to call and couldn't get through to anyone. There's no email on the site, so I am here to request a refund or gift card. I love mikey's but $20 for burnt pizza is SUPER SUPER DISAPPOINTING. Would love for this issue to be resolved. Be sure to watch for your order. Evening if you properly order your food, and you are 5 feet away, they won't acknowledge your food is ready. We were the only ones in the restaurant, but they wouldn't recognize us and/or tell us our order was ready. We didn't get it until we walked up again to ask where it was, unfortunately. We were in town for 24 hours to witness a devastating football game. After the late game, Mikey's was the only place open. Turns out this was a blessing because the large cheese pizza we ordered was phenomenal and the bartender was super sweet and kept our Miller Lites flowing. The real 5 stars, I'd give 10, came from two days later when I discovered I left my wallet on the bar. I called the restaurant, they had me describe my wallet, and when I told them I am 8 hours away, they immediately offered to ship it. This was 2 days before Christmas so I had little faith of that actually being accomplished. A week later, my wallet arrived wrapped nicely not only with nothing out of place, but with Mikey's coupons. Long story short, the pizza is great and the staff is even better. The pizza itself was decent. It is what I have come to expect every time I am in Columbus and I'm excited to come get pizza when my flight lands at midnight. The service was subpar. After waiting in line for a while, I went over to get a beer. The server was in a casual conversation with two women for over five minutes and didn't notice me and one other person trying to grab a drink. I walked over to her and started to ask for a beer, but she held her finger up as if to tell me to wait. I patiently waited. I figured it would be a minute or maybe two and as soon as she was done with her other customers, she would come back to me. She ignored me and went in the back office and dealt with bar tasks like moving things around for another five minutes before taking my order. I asked if I could leave the tab open and put the pizza on it since I was waiting in line. Alissa, I believe her name was, working night of may 31, said sure. By the time I ordered my pizza at the other end of the establishment, and I explained I'd like to put it on my tab, they couldn't find the tab... so I paid cash. I went back to the bar while I waited on my pizza and said they wouldn't let me put pizza on tab and she said "I closed you out." I was willing to excuse the poor communication and the immediate customer service failure because at least she said it was a smile. But then a few minutes later at last call, I wanted to put another drink order in. It was impossible to get her attention and she wasn't that busy. She was taking the occasional drink order and tidying up. The people next to me screamed loudly to get their drinks. I decided another beer wasn't worth screaming and kept the seven dollars in my pocket. I won't ever go back to this place to wait in line for over 30 minutes for pizza, wait another 10 for a beer, and then tip for non-existent service. It's a shame because I really enjoyed it and have probably been 40+ times, but one bad service was enough to turn me off. read more

So, Mikey's wasn't the original plan. We were stopping in town for a quick dinner during a road trip and had our eyes set on Dirty Frank's. Sadly, they were booked out the door, but Mikey's didn't look too full so we wanted to check it out. This is a pay by the slice kinda joint. Late night, greasy and/or drunken bites is what you come here for. Their slices are pretty big for $4.50...can't beat that! It's fantastic too. They have some unique sauces like "unicorn sauce" or the "hot mess," (the one I tried, which seemed to be a spicy ranch.) The vibe of this place is cool. It's for sure hipster-attracting, and they've got TVs playing music videos all around. We were out and about on High Street in the wee hours of the morning; I found myself craving pizza, and my friend thought indulging that craving was the best idea I'd had so far this year - we let the Yelp app lead us to Mikey's Late Night Slice to Carpe Diem! My friend's place was just a few blocks away and we were starving, so we decided to order a pie to go. After looking over the menu, we opted for an 18" classic pie and selected "The Garbage" (A complete mess of Pepperoni, Sausage, Banana Peppers, Mushrooms, Onions, and Extra Cheese). Mikey's pie's are NY style, so the wait wasn't long, though the amazing smells from the pizza as it cooked made the wait seem longer than it actually was. We walked to my friend's place and dug in... OMG - I hadn't had NY style pizza this good since the last time I visited the Big Apple! My first slice was like a little bit of heaven :-) The initial test of an outstanding pie is the dough, and Mikey's passed with flying colors. The taste and shape of the crust were perfect - not too thick, not too thin, and with just the right texture and the prefect "chew". The sauce was light and zesty, with just a hint of a kick to it, and the toppings were generously applied and obviously premium quality. An 18" pie was a bit too big for just two of us to finish in one sitting (though we tried REAL hard ;-) so there were leftovers for both of us. I took mine home and used them to give Mikey's the 2nd test of a great pizza - the leftovers were truly outstanding cold for breakfast ;-) Mikey's is a keeper - since I first found this place, I've already been back twice! read more

We were in town visiting and stopped in after leaving the barcade and I have to say I love that they have a sauce station with RANCH! I love ranch with pizza and crust so this was an easy way to please me. Spicy pepperoni was my favorite but I did enjoy the slice of the week which was Italian beef with mozzarella and ricotta (lasagna inspired). We also had a regular pepperoni and a mushroom. The slices are a great size but they were definitely too yummy to pause and take a picture of before eating them. I've had a few bites of the spicy pepperoni and it was delicious, but a little too greasy for my annoyingly sensitive stomach. So I got a slice of mushroom and roasted garlic this time and it was perfect!!! It was so good. It had fresh mushrooms and bits of roasted garlic all over it. I took two slices to go so it wasn't until I returned to my hotel room that I realized both slices were overcooked, dry pieces of cardboard. They were so hard that they couldn't even be folded in half to eat "NY style". The top of both slices were nearly burned black and they were so dry that it wasn't even enjoyable to eat them.
