Usually when we're in the area, there's this ridiculous line in front of this small shop, which tends to deter us from visiting. However, after eating dinner tonight, we saw that the line for this place was lighter than usual, so we took the opportunity to try it out! I vaguely remember visiting Millet Crepe probably 15 years ago, and I believe I ordered the creme brulee, which was their bestseller (still is). I remember many years back thinking it was good, but I was either too full or I'm just not too crazy about creme brulee in general, so I didn't want to order that again this time. I suspect a lot of people come here for the first time, see that the bestseller is the creme brulee, order that one, and then say they're gonna try another flavor the next time and then don't come back until much later when they see the line isn't as long lol. That wasn't gonna be me this time around!! There were only about....idk 5 people in front of us during the crepe line wait. We waited about 10-15 minutes total. By the time we ordered, the line was a loooot longer. I think people were getting out of dinner and were thinking the same thing - that they wanted dessert. This visit, I ordered the matcha tiramisu with matcha ice cream. Hubby ordered the mango custard with vanilla ice cream. We scarfed up both cone shaped crepes in less than 5 minutes - and they were nice, light, and the perfect ending to Sunday chill dinner night out. I tried my husband's crepe, and I think I like the custard flavor more than the tiramisu flavor (which was more cream like). Overall, solid spot when the wait isn't long. read more

It's located on the street with a bunch of Asian restaurants so I know competition is high but surprisingly this shop is the only one with a line! I honestly thought it was going to be overrated but honestly the food was really good. I got the crème brûlée crepe with mango and ice cream and the crepe was so buttery and the mango wasn't too sweet and the ice cream was delicious. My girlfriend and I finally built up the patience to fall in queue and see what's with all the hype. We had always seen extensive lines here after we'd get dinner in the area. We'd normally get Somi Somi for a sweet treat but wanted to give this spot a try. The line does move somewhat slow but omg the crepes are so worth it! Since our first visit, we have returned a few times. I love getting their Tiramisu and Matcha flavored custard crepe. I love that each other crepe flavor I've tried, none are ever overly sweet, and each is made with care! There's a mix match approach to how you want your dessert built but I normally order mine as it's listed on the menu for their classics. My father in law hates spending anything more than a couple bucks for a sweet treat, but happily makes the exception for Milet crepe and I 100% understand why. I know this place has been around for so long and is a staple in Sawtelle, but I was a bit disappointed from my first experience with it. Luckily we joined the line when it was relatively manageable even on a weekday night. Maybe I chose the wrong flavor combos but I got the crème brûlée millet crepe with matcha ice cream and also mangos. It felt very heavy to me and I wasn't able to finish it by myself after a meal. Maybe it would've tasted better to me as a standalone snack. There was also maybe like 2 mango chunks that I found in my crepe. This was the sweet treat I didn't know I needed! I was in the area for dinner on a Wednesday and passed by a long line at this spot on my way to another restaurant. When I realized it was a crepe place, I made it my mission to stop by on the way back. An hour later around 8:30PM, the line was still there and maybe even longer. I ended up waiting about 20 to 30 minutes just to order at the one lone kiosk. With so many options, I can understand why ordering takes time and the line is so long. It's nice that while you wait, you can watch the staff prepare orders and torch the crème brûlée through the window, which helps pass the time. After ordering, you just have to wait by the pickup window for your name to be called. Despite the crowd, service was efficient and it only took about 10 to 15 minutes to get my crepe. I initially ordered the tiramisu crepe, but after my first bite, I realized they gave me the Nutella strawberry crème brûlée crepe with vanilla ice cream, and it may have been the best mistake ever. The crème brûlée topping was perfectly creamy and not overly sweet, with a satisfying crunch from the caramelized sugar. The strawberries tasted fresh, and you can never go wrong with Nutella. Everything else is optional whether you want to add more things inside of it such as Nutella and fruit or keep it as is and they also have a regular crêpe available if you don't want it in a cone. The prices are fair, which is about $10 and they come out pretty quick plus you can also see them make it in front of you through their window. They call out your name and you pick up and grab it. It's a nice spot that's been around for a while so if you're looking for something sweet, I recommend coming here, but there was also a Bacio de latte right across the street which is also my favorite if you're looking for high-quality ingredient gelato I suggest you go there or here. read more
