Ooof, the experience started stressful. We had reservations at 8:15pm and we weren't seated until 8:40ishh (we weren't the only people in this situation, there was a line blocking the door) We finally got seated and waited about 20mins before our order was taking for drinks and food (they did bring us water). I understand they were busy but I was already over it. The food came out quickly right after the order was taking. The skewers were good, we tried the alligator and squid. The sushi was okay, wouldn't recommend it there's other places in the city that has way better sushi. We also had ramen which was really good!! We wouldn't go back giving other options on the city for better sushi. Our experience was mediocre AF!!

Great happy hour sushi deals. It was half off. The takeout experience was easy and right on time. I got the avocado cucumber roll and spicy salmon roll.

Great local sushi spot in Chicago. Fresh rolls, friendly service, and awesome specials -- half-price rolls and martinis. Easy win.

We arrived around 8:45-9pm. It was Oktoberfest outside and we wandered in for the first time. Ambiance was clean, quiet, low lighting. It really helped the headache I was nursing. Uni Oyster shooters 4 stars. Flavorful! Crab uni maki. 4 stars. Tasted good. Ramen. We both ate. I give 4 stars. Needed to trim fat off the meat, and because I eat at a lot of ramen places, I think this one was very good, but something needs to be upped in the flavor. Miso soup - 5 stars. It really was tasty and helped my headache. :) The wait staff was fine. Quick to pick up used plates and help us pack. No problems.

Miku Sushi is one of the best sushi restaurants in Chicago in my opinion. This is one of my favorite places to eat: lunch special is really good here. Any sushi you order in Miku will be delicious! Great customer service as well!

Went for lunch today, super cute spot with plenty of room. The service was great the server was checking in with us and removing plates as we finished items. We started with some miso soup and tea, both were delicious. And then we got a couple rolls, avocado, cucumber, sweet potato, and a dragon roll! Soooooo goood! Defiantly go before 4 they have a half off sushi menu!

Sushi was ok but probably the best among all the item we ordered. Ramen has too much MSG, noodles overcooked and very few, very greasy. Not great service - forgot my order and not attentive at all. Bathroom door lock had issues to lock and toilet paper had run out... We will not come back.

Miku has a half priced maki rolls before 6pm specials which is a nice deal. Its mid sushi. It's in lincoln square and convenient sushi if you are around the area. If you have a sushi craving and you do not want a omakase dining experience and price point, it's a decent place to go to satisfy your sushi cravings. Service is slower when it gets busy but good service. Not super fancy, casual setting.

Had a great time at Miku. The staff was nice and attentive. We made reservations because we weren't sure how busy it would get. They seated us right away without any problems. The Maki and happy hour is half off of you place the order before 6pm. Can't beat that for cheaper food and drinks. The Maki we order were all picked at random except for the 1 that was recommended by the waiter. All the maki's were very good. The stand outs were Momo Maki was a table favorite and the Robusta was different and had a nice crunch to it. The Hangover and Flaming Dragon were the choice of my friends. The skewers we ordered were the scallops, alligator and ribeye. The alligator was a bit tough but seasoned well with plenty of ginger flavor. The ribeye nicely cooked, can't really go wrong with ribeye unless you over cook it. The scallops were nice and wrapped in bacon. Having 2 great items together...scallops and bacon A very nice restaurant in Lincoln Square. Staff was nice and a great neighborhood to spend some time in. Order before 6 to take advantage of the half off specials!

Yummy! I recommend going before 6 PM to get half off rolls ! Avocado and cucumber rolls for only $2.50 each - and delicious! Veggie tempura also amazing :) the tea was sooooo good and came in the cutest container. Barely anyone in there tuesday at lunch time. Service was fast and friendly. The restaurant is very clean and a modern feel that makes you feel elegant.

I came here to eat dinner with two friends! They have half priced maki before 6 pm, so the menu is affordable! I ordered the Ocean Sundae Maki. I thought it tasted good!

Came to see what all the hype was with some coworkers and was excited for the 1/2 off sushi before 6pm, however we were all a little disappointed. All of us had different dishes and agreed that the freshness was off or some weren't very flavorful. Some of our rolls weren't rolled very tight so they were hard to eat and would fall apart easily. The staff were a little slow but they were all friendly.

    Nope...full bar

When is the sushi half priced? I saw on social media and want to confirm!

Their happy hour for half priced rolls is 4-6, every day of the week. The sashimi and nigiri are not included, but the martinis are $6 and are generous pours! We go there often!

I almost decided to save Miru for our next visit, but I'm glad I made time for breakfast here on our departure day. Located inside the St. Regis Chicago, the restaurant offers beautiful views. The service was excellent--attentive, friendly, and professional. I ordered the Tokyo Breakfast. The salmon was perfectly cooked and paired beautifully with rice, a soft-poached egg, and salmon roe. The miso soup was slightly salty on its own, but it worked surprisingly well when enjoyed with the rice toward the end of the meal. Overall, a memorable breakfast experience. I'd love to return and try the lunch or dinner menu on my next trip to Chicago.

The sushi is phenomenal, as were our drinks... but the other entrees are disappointing. The karaage and duck yakisoba in particular in quality could be from any corner restaurant in Chicago. The service lends itself more casual, and I noticed they were consistently quite slow to clear our table. I don't think people come here for the food as much as the views. Overlooking Streeterville from this angle and vantage was truly jaw dropping and for this reason I still strongly recommend Miru.

My only critique is the pacing. Since the chef already had the fish sliced and prepped, I expected a smoother flow, but the meal took about an hour and a half for 14 pieces of sushi. It felt a bit slow, especially for a lunch service. That said, if you're looking for a reasonably priced omakase with quality fish, this is a solid choice.

Both were great. Our bartenders were lovely and very friendly. Found out this is a Malort tasting room and we were able to sample some different Malorts (the cocoa one was good!). Then we were taken back to our table for dinner. Our server was super friendly as well. Started with the miso soup and crispy tuna bites which were probably my favorite dishes. The taki yoki fritters weren't bad either. We saw people getting omakase, so we ordered a yummy looking piece they were receiving. It was just okay (chutoro truffle). The nigiri was also okay. The tuna piece was the only I really loved. The fish quality wasn't as high as I was expecting. The sushi was decent. A little too much truffle in the spicy blue fin tuna and a little too vegetable forward in the hamachi serrano. All in all, the atmosphere and amazing service pushed this up to a 4 for me.
