The visual results were small but I didn't experience major break outs in the 4 months until my next peel (aka a miracle). She described light peels as "chipping away" at the problems (for me, milder acne scars and hyperpigmentation and larger pores). 2nd peel: We went for a medium peel and I certainly peeled! Which was great. The results were more obvious (but still subtle), with less texture and smaller pore in a patch of skin with acne scars. I can see that some of my dark spots faded a few shades. Raissa is a lovely, warm person and very competent at her work. Her clean, lovely room is located in Bravo Hair Salon with plenty of parking in a garage off Lake Ave. (Be sure to directly put in the address! There is a different Brave salon in Pasadena closer to my home and I always accidentally drive there first!)

I originally came in looking for a HydraFacial, but what I received was a next-level spa treatment that was absolutely worth it. Kathy was amazing. She made me feel comfortable immediately, answered all my questions, and had such a calm and friendly demeanor. The session began with a detailed skin analysis to identify pigmentation, sensitivity, and other areas of concern. From there, she took me through several stages of cleansing, steam, treatments, and extractions. I had a stubborn clogged spot under my skin that had been there for almost three months, and Kathy was finally able to extract it. Four days later, the area is completely healed and the mark is barely visible. She followed the extraction with a tea tree gel to help cleanse and soothe the area, along with other products that left my skin feeling hydrated and refreshed. The entire hour was incredibly relaxing. Between the music, the rainy Pasadena weather, and Kathy's technique, I even warned her that I might start snoring because I was beginning to fall asleep. I enjoyed the experience so much that I purchased a five-session package before leaving.
