What the heck??? Went in for just a quick manicure. Place had three clients and 7-8 workers. Was asked to sit down at the first table at the door. Was told it would be 10 min. Another person comes in for a pedicure- she gets started right away. A worker is spitting in a stool talking to the other worker as I sit there waiting. After 20 minutes I walked out. Seriously?!! There were plenty of workers and I sat there waiting at the front- with no one assisting me. It was a simple manicure. read more

I got an ingrown, staph-infected toenail that required a PERMANENT partial nail avulsion (a $300 procedure) by a podiatrist. The woman doing my nails had cut my big toenail way back and within one week it was swollen and infected. I hate that this happened because I actually enjoyed myself, but I definitely knew something was wrong when she started cutting my nail in a curve around and down the edges instead of straight across. **UPDATE: After reading the store owner's comment on Google guaranteeing their work, I kindly reached out for a refund for the $82 I spent there. Here was their response... "To make our guarantee work, you obviously have to contact us or come directly to the salon first, we would have diagnosed the best for you and treated your ingrown toenail ourselves or, depending on the case, we would have directed you to a podiatrist. You decided to go to the podiatrist yourself without coming to see us first and you put a very bad rating on Google, in this case, understand that it is difficult for us to make the guarantee work. We do not reimburse pedicures... It's like if you have a problem with a tire on your car, the warranty will allow you to change the tire that has a problem for free but will certainly not reimburse you for the car." Pros: the nail art came out okay. Not great but not bad. Facility is aesthetically pleasing. Appeared hygienic. Cons: very rushed, the manicurist was doing my nails and another customer's nails at the same time, switching off between the both of us. As it was clear she was rushing for time, unfortunately the quality of the nail art was lost. Also the length of the polish lasting is apparently falsely advertised on the website. It says 4+ weeks for the Japanese gel, but was informed it is closer to 2 weeks, maybe 3. If I could do negative stars I would. I will never be going back to MILAN nail and Spa they were rude and rushed me through the whole thing. While I appreciate a quick appointment it was so rushed I didn't even get time to pick out my nail color. They kept asking me what color and when I asked to see the colors they wouldn't bring them to me. They ended up putting on a color that they liked and picked and it was awful not to mention I paid 300 for a gel manicure and pedi for my daughter and myself. It would be fine if we were happy but we left batting our nails and upset. The lady why did my pedicure also was very rough and rude. I will NEVER go back! read more

Well ... I never got to have my nails done because they apparently do not understand the word APPOINTMENT! I mean really ... what part of appointment do they not understand. My appointment was for 4p today ... got there a little early and 415p ... they had not started on my nails. Two people came by asking what I wanted ... never looked at an appointment book, never asked my name. So ... I left with my nails still ratty. If you are an appointment kind of person ... I'd avoid this place. I have work and things to do ... so I take the extra time to make appointments to get my stuff done so that I do not effect others and their time schedules. read more

Update to my previous review. I've been here three times now. The first two times Tina did my nails and the second time she did the nails she made me bleed on the cuticle. Which I just thought was a fluke no big deal but the third time I've come here Tina was not there another lady did my nails and made me bleed on the cuticle and on my finger. Plus my nails look terrible. She left all sorts of gunk on the nail and on my finger. She didn't clean under the nails see pictures. I'm never coming here again there are other places that do much better jobs I'm sure. I really question this sanitation of this place, because they did not pull the tools out of the sanitize packet like I've seen in other salons. And if they're making me bleed on the cuticle are they making others? I don't know I Don't have any confirmation or seeing them not sanitize product that they use, but it concerns me and I will never return. Oh and I almost forgot to mention I walked in for nails only walked out two hours later. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a patient person, but 2 hours to do nails give me a break!!! Previous review: I walked in with no appointment. (Let me state I have a regular nail salon that I've been going to for 5 years but we moved so I'm looking for a permanent salon closer to the house.) This place is located next to Central Market in Southlake so the assumption is clean and good option! When I walked in, the guy who greeted me was kind and he must has known I was new to this location. He was a little pushy and got me to get a pedicure with my full set (dip). He said he put me with the best- Tina. I'm very picky with my nails which is why I'm loyal when I find someone who can do them right. I've done dip before but prefer acrylic with gel for durability. Tim's did a fantastic job. I love the shape. We'll see how they hold up. My pedicure was good too. Hard to mess that up honestly. There was a yelp check in coupon so yeah! Will I come back? Yeah probably. It sounds like from similar reviews Tina is busy and requires an appt to ensure you get her. Great selection of all the new colors and designs for nails! And they say anything you find online for a design, they can do! I got one of the new modified (?) French manis...with a lot of colors! And I love it! It's cute and sporty! They have an huge array of the dipping powders. Super clean, relaxing spa environment! The ladies take a lot of time and care doing a good prep for the mani/pedis'. You can get a great enough basic pedicure, or add on items (a la cart), or splurge for a fancier pedi! I got a middle of the road pedi and it was extravagant enough for me! Included hot wax, hot stone massage, callous removal, and scrub! And a choice of scents too! read more

I feel terrible giving one star. I'm a very easy going person but I've never had my nails looks so bad. I got a dip manicure and all my nails are different shapes and sizes. The powder is cracked and my nails are ripped underneath. I was told I was going to get a refund but they never issued it. I paid a lot of money and am shocked with how bad they are. I really wanted to make this my go-to salon as I recently moved to the area but after my third time I can't find a reason to go back. One of the only good things I can say about this place is that the staff is polite! Other than that you can find better quality elsewhere. The biggest reason why I will not be going back is because they rush your service even when they are not busy. I want to be able to relax when I get my nails done. Not feel like they're trying to get me out the door as soon as I arrive. The pedicure massages are quick and effortless. One of the times I didn't even get a massage. To top it off they continued to rinse my feet with cold water and dunking them back into the dirty water after she used it as a trash can for dumping wax and other debris/wrappers from the service. I was also dried off with the same damp cold towel for the entire service. My hails have been lefts too chunky and misshapen from the dip powder, because they're rushing. They are also so rough with the electric file. I always get cut, or they file my nail bed down so thin it hurts. The last thing is that they are a little too persistent with the up selling. If I say "no thank you" twice it means I don't want to change my service. That also doesn't stop them from finding ways to up charge you, for example getting your cuticles trimmed was extra the last time I got my nails done... but that wasn't the case the first two times. Unfortunately I will have to continue my search for my regular nail salon. read more

She asked for her tips to be removed and new shorter ones to be put on. This was not done. The dip liquid got under the nail. The technician drilled her cuticle 3 times. FABULOUS first time experience! The space is clean and open, and the staff is WONDERFUL!! Everyone was so kind and it felt like they each wanted to make sure I had a truly fantastic experience. I called in advance to make sure we could have a spot and was welcomed in warmly. As soon as I arrived, I was rushed to choose a color and then insulted. I blew it off, it had been a long day for everyone, I guess? Things carry on and after I politely asked Chelsea to please disinfect her hands with sanitizer (after she came back from handling money/checking out customers to go back to filing my nails), she got quiet and reluctantly sanitized her hands. She began talking at length about how Covid-friendly the salon was and I wholeheartedly agreed with her, but clarified I only asked for sanitization after money was handled. She remained quiet and began clipping my cuticles when I felt a pinch and a warm stream of blood run down my finger. Photos here. She then said my skin was so thin "like a baby." With no apology. I continued to bleed as my finger was sliced and I asked to wash my hands. Still no apology. My finger kept bleeding and after the lack of empathy was clear, and the realization that my finger wasn't going to stop bleeding anytime soon, I clearly stated to her that accidents happen, but treating people so poorly by saying they had "thin skin akin to a baby's" was not okay. No resolutions nor apologies still. I left. I feel sick to my stomach at the apathy of it all. The other girls are amazing but the owner (Chelsea, I believe), is not fit for this. Go elsewhere. Got a gel manicure here a week ago from Wendy and Jason. The salon is clean and classy in decor, unlike some of the other nail salons in the area that are super over the top to the point of being tacky. Both Wendy and Jason were very professional and attentive to detail with my cuticles and how they applied the gel so my nails look great a week after. Some places do the gel too thick or not close enough to the cuticle line that it already looks grown out after a week. Not here! Prices were reasonable and if I lived instate, I would absolutely go here regularly. I'll make it my holiday nail salon for sure when I'm in town. read more

I come to the Grapevine / Southlake area often for work and this has become my go to nail salon while in town! They are friendly, always do a good job and offer nice little ad-ons. The always offer a drink while getting my mani or pedi and consistently check on me to make sure I am doing alright. Awful place. I went in there just for them to take off some nails I already had on...it took an hour and a half when at most places it only takes 20 minutes. They didn't even do a good job, they burned my nail beds multiple times with the machine and when they tried to cut my cuticles they made me bleed. The girl that was originally doing then left in the middle of it and left me to sit there for 20 minutes before another employee noticed and took over for her. Go anywhere else read more

They talked me into doing the powder nail(a little pushy and not super friendly which is why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5). Loved this place!! Every single time I went no matter the person it was a good job. Since they have changed management the last two times I have been they have been absolutely awful. Rushed, uneven, rough and just overall shotty looking. The first time I went in they fixed it no problem because it was that bad and the manager herself fixed it. I was like great I'm going to come back and maybe it was just a bad time, mistakes happen. Okay, go in today show what I want and it was FAR from what I asked for. Told her, and she just kept saying not finished it'll look better when done. Definitely didn't happen, didn't fix what I asked for and now here I am out 62 dollars with awful looking nails. And the worst part is I went to a different nail salon where my sister swears by, maybe like an hour later showed them what my nails looked like and she was even was like what was she trying to do and the best part is this nail salon I'm at now is fixing them no questions asked.
