Not sure if it's new management but it's a completely different group of people here as of lately (one lady said she started a couple months ago). They have increased the pricing and now charge a fee to use your debit/credit card. I came in for a polish change (toes) and to get my eyebrows waxed. I always would come here for at least my eyebrows. My eyebrows were the final straw, as she waxed the end of one eyebrow off completely and waxed them both thin. I always ask for just a cleanup. My brows are naturally thick. In addition, the young lady doing my toes was obviously inexperienced as she could barely handle the tools and scraped my cuticles repeatedly. I called to make sure I could get in and was assured they had time. When I got there they quickly seated me at a spa chair with a new bowl liner. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The chair gave me a massage! They started on my toes and even had someone else start on my hands so that my service was very quick. Everyone was laughing and joking and having a good time. The majority of my service was fine. I chose a deluxe pedicure and had a gel manicure. During my pedicure he asked if I had ingrowns and I said no, they are fine, and I even had surgery a few years ago on my left. For some reason when cutting away the cuticle and debris, he proceeded to dig into the outer side of my big toes. Like ...the side where the nail is completely connected to the skin. I have nicely manicure toes, and I go every 2 weeks... there was nothing to dig for. It hurt so bad, I reacted and said ow and flinched, then he went to the other side and did the same thing and I did the same thing but was more stern and louder about "OW! that hurts!" Long story short, later in the day my big toes became very tender and I noticed they were bleeding. I am now 2 days out and in debilitating pain. I can't wear shoes and walking is very uncomfortable. I have to wear heels at my best friends wedding in a few days and there is still blood and pus coming from both toes. I had fully intended on this being "my new place" but now I'm not sure I can go back. Someone with a license to do nails should be familiar with the anatomy. I don't understand why my nails were dug at and cut where they were. read more
