I keep getting flyers in the mail and seeing that they served Kebabs as well as Pizza, we decided to give this place a try - we are glad we did. This is a small place and the dine in area is a bit cramped, but it doesn't stop you from enjoying a good meal and chatting to the owner. I ordered the chicken kebab, which came with rice, salad, dipping sauce and warm flat bread. The chicken was moist and tender. The rice was well cooked and had its own distinctive flavor. The dipping sauce was a wonderful complement to the chicken kebab. The salad was fresh and crunchy. The Shammi kebab was equally good and we agreed that the portion was very generous for the price. While we were waiting to pay, we asked the owner if he had Bolani.. .you know me...I am a Bolani fan, so he was very surprised that we knew Bolani or anything about Afghan culture and foods. I am a true global cuisine loving foodie! Since was impressed with our knowledge and being the nice guy he is he made us 2 slices of his very own Special Afghani Pizza (Not on their menu). We were too full to eat it but had it for lunch the next day and man, it was good... thin crips crust, layered with juicy morsels of shammi kebab, fresh bell peppers, jalapenos, mushrooms, onions...it was very very good. I first came to the place when I was in high school back at Tracy high my freshmen year in 2005 and I have not found a better spot in Tracy. I love supporting small/ family owned businesses and I have been coming here since I was a kid but it has DEFINITELY gone down hill. The customer service is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE, I called at 12:04 for two large pizzas (a large combo and a large sausage and pepperoni) and they said 20-30 minutes, so I arrive at 12:40 to give a little extra time. I walk up to the counter and give the name and he said the order has been picked up already. he said "Are you sure no one else picked it up?" I said "No, I am the one who CALLED and is picking up.." and he said "Well we dont have it." I'm like "Well I have a crew of people at my house that I would like to feed so where is my pizza?" and he said it would be 10-15 minutes by that time it was 1pm and I've been waiting AN HOUR for food. I asked for a discount and he was like you only waited 10-15 minutes, but I LITERALLY called at 12:04pm! so technically I've been waiting for an hour. Ive been working in food for 2 years now and when that happens we typically give a discount for the inconvenience (especially if we give someone the wrong order. Paid full price except a shitty $2 off...... Got home and opened up a fresh combo pizza and then I opened an old ass PEPPERONI pizza that tasted like it was microwaved, also there was no sausage on it. It was pretty cold and nasty and stale.
