This is one of my favorite breakfast spots, it's always a hit. I love their coffee. My go to for breakfast is the breakfast sandwich or the ribeye with eggs. Always delicious and the servers are amazing. I've never had a bad experience here and I definitely recommend.

Good coffee shop in an unassuming location in a residential neighborhood. It used to be Mary Ann's from way back when and Shelly's even before that. The interior was aviation themed with airline seats in the front waiting area. I had Pork Chops and Eggs for breakfast with home fries. It comes with a choice of toast, banana bread, or biscuits and gravy. I chose the banana bread. The two pork chops looked like they were finished off in a fryer but were still moist and seasoned well. They were boneless and thick. Home fries were good tasting with onions and bell peppers. The scrambled eggs were good, too. The banana bread, however, was very dry and did not have much of a flavor other than a slight sweetness. It was a generous portion, too. I did like the ground walnuts in it as a textural change. No one at our table who ordered the banana bread finished theirs. One in our party even made a suggestion to the waitstaff to let the kitchen know the state of their banana bread. It probably should not have been served in the first place. Waitstaff was harried but efficient and polite even though the place was slammed when we were there. Parking was difficult in their lot because it was very busy but there are some spaces in the back. Good place to have breakfast and lunch if in the area.

Still love this place!! It's been a few years but I decided to treat my son to breakfast and I was a little surprised. The waitress was not a familiar face but she didn't seem too happy to be there. She did hit smile or make pleasantries and rarely came to our table. There were only a couple customers but she left the table as if she was too busy to do more than take our order. This is rare for this place, the service is almost always perfect so I was caught off guard. The only reason for change in stars is the lack of dusting. The decor is covered in a very thick layer of dust. And yes, I know we live in the desert, but some of these items hang right by the table. The good news is that the food is still amazing, I hope they never get rid of their enchilada omelette or their banana nut bread.

Great local coffee shop in the most unassuming location. My friend told me about this place hidden in the middle of a neighborhood in Hesperia. It's a great little coffee shop! They have really delicious breakfast fast friendly service and reasonable prices. I ordered the Wednesday special S.O.S. (Creamyground beef gravy on toast for those non military folks out there). It came with eggs and your choice of reckless potatoes I chose the home fries with bell pepper, and onions.). It was a great meal. You should definitely stop by and try this place, if you like coffee shops, and home-cooked dishes .

This place is excellent, my first time was this AM. I got there right at the crack of sparrows (0600) and still got attentive service, excellent portions, and DELICIOUS FOOD. My pics show that I got the enchilada omelette that everyone raves about (for good reason) which comes w/ biscuits and the best gravy I've ever had; it had morsels in it. Also, I did a scenic mini hike right in front of the parking lot. Highly recommend the whole experience, enjoy and tip well!! read more

I've been going to this cafe for longer than I can recall. From the time they were an anchor at Hesperia Airport or maybe the airport was their anchor. Either way the employees were/are dedicated to the management and customers. Albeit it was definitely cool to watch the trains and planes come and go. They were able to carry on the hometown atmosphere and great menu. To which they've added many new delicious entrees. Including their meatloaf omelette (only available on certain weekends). Definitely go there for breakfast or lunch, you won't be disappointed. read more

I'm new in town. My daughter and I decided to randomly find a place near by that served breakfast. Found Mile High Cafe'. It took awhile before we got waited on, but once we did, everything was fantastic. The prices were perfect and the eggs Benedict that I ordered was exactly the way I asked for it be made. Perfection! Great trucker diner style dining. I go at least once a week and have been for nearly a year. The wait staff is kind and my kids are in love with AMY AND KELLY. They literally look for them every time we go. This joint is kid friendly and their patience has been instrumental in me training my 2 and 3yr olds to eat in a public social setting. Parents if you are looking to socialize your children this is the training ground. I took my kids out to a fine dining restaurant the other day (needless to say I was sweating bullets ) and was able to see all the weeks of dining at mile high with them pay off. you could hear a pin drop in that place and not my children. Thank JESUS and thank you Amy and Kim from mile high! read more

Great little fine in the HD. Staff was friendly and service was great. Breakfast was excellent. They made some awesome homemade banana bread! My son loved the pancakes with bananas and blueberries added! You can substitute tomato slices for hash browns which I love because potatoes are just too heavy for me. Bacon here is cooked perfectly; nice and crispy. Would visit again! read more

WOW! I just moved to Hesperia and tried many places but the comparison is insulting. This place ( Mile High Cafe) is awesome , Amy, Kim, Benny, are the most down to earth, GREAT customer service people. The food is to die for, everything I have ordered has been delicious... on Wednesdays Benny makes this delicious gravy that's amazing! Well first I would like to say I am a longtime supporter of mile high , from way back in the days of the Airport. Today was as if I was an unwanted customer, I have never in all my travels been so offended. The food in my opinion is for the most part very good, but I only order what I like there all the time. Today I ordered something different off the white board, it looked great! But when I noticed something was not like I ordered it , I thought no problem. But boy was I wrong, I never thought that just by asking for something to be done over , would get me called out of my name and cursed. ( what was wrong? EGGS.... who dropped the M/F bomb on me.. the none cooker of eggs THE SUPPOSE TO BE PROFESSIONAL COOK) order eggs Sunnyside up, please don't cook the yoke. Eggs come Sunnyside up cooked yoke , send them back and the cook goes off his rocker and start this MF what and other cursed words. After that we didn't want no eggs re-done nore wanted to stay to finish our breakfast. We packed up both breakfast, without the eggs .. sad. Our server was so kind and I think she was alittle embarrassed by the cooks behavior. So whatever you do , don't send your food back if its this cook. Can't trust him to cook it right... with this being said, I think it's time for my family and I to move on and find a new breakfast spot. I will no longer recommend mile high to people nore Colleagues again. What if this happened to someone i sent there to try? I would've been so embarrassed. Good food , but if wrong. Don't send it back! Good luck people........ read more

We tried this place for breakfast with the kids on the weekend. Then we went back by ourselves on a weekday. The service was very different. The weekend was crowded and busy- the service was decent. The weekday service was exceptional but it also wasn't packed out like the weekend was. Food is great! If you like home fries, get them with peppers and onions- so good. They are better than the hash browns. Prices are good too, but beware the coffee refills cost money. read more

The Mile High Café has moved to old town Hesperia. They have the same delicious food with generous portions as they always did when they were located at the Hesperia Airport. They bring the same terrific staff and cooks. They are now located in the cozy little neighborhood just east of Foremost Senior Citizens Facility in old town Hesperia. read more

If you live in the high desert and haven't been to this spot, YOU'RE NOT REALLY LIVING! There motto is "Where The Food Is Piled High!", is no joke! I love their food and their vibe! Just all random, when you come in, the waiting room has old (aaand I mean old!) airplane chairs! Their menu is great! A little bit of North, East, South, West! Pricing is great, very reasonable. The parking has a view! And did I forget - THEY HAVE MIMOSAS people! read more

I've been to Mile High Cafe a few times, in my opinion their breakfast options are standard nothing too special. I made a decision the last time we went that I would merely eat lunch instead. I will come back because my hubby likes this place. The BEST thing I have had on their menu is their Biscuits and Gravy. Portion sizes are large....I always have leftovers. read more

I had no idea this place even existed here! But a friend who lives nearby took me there for breakfast and it was pretty good. I'm always on the hunt for good buscuits and gravy so of course, I tried theirs, along with some scrambled eggs and hash browns. The hash browns were PERFECT! Nice and crispy on the outside, so super happy with that. the eggs were good and the biscuits and gravy were fine... nothing really to write home about and the gravy was a little on the sour side. I didn't dislike them, but I probably would not order them again. Service was friendly and the place seemed to be full of regulars. I'd recommend Mile High Cafe for breakfast! read more

Apart from the old airplane chairs in the waiting area, flight-themed memorabilia, and a view of the Hesperia Airport runway, there's nothing too special with this diner other than they are not open for dinner. I would probably feel differently if I was a pilot. It seems like a very convenient pit stop for people flying small planes. The food in general is just ok. Well, as I've been here a few times I figure it's about time I offer a review.... Good stuff. Each time I've gone I've been pleased with the food. I generally get an omelet of some sort...and each time they do a good job. The carne asada omelet could have a bit more "pop" for my liking...but it's simple enough to add some hot sauce. As many of their customers seem a bit eh...on the older side...I can understand the lower level of heat. No big deal and not a deal breaker. That's why god invented Tapatio. LOL Even when crowded, the wait hasn't been long. (And I HATE waiting.) The staff are in constant motion. Nobody working there is simply standing around. So...all in all...a really good place to have a hearty breakfast. Oh yeah...and check out those Bloody Mary's. ;-) read more

3rd time there this time brought my wife and she loved the airplane seats in the lobby almost as much as the food.My only complaint is that it is not closer as I live in Adelanto so it is a bit of a drive for me.Had the hamburger steak and it was delicious. read more

We ordered a variety of dishes: the country fried steak skillet, the hobo skillet, and the chicken fried steak--all hearty, flavorful, and satisfying. I went with the cinnamon French toast, and for just $4.49 extra, it came with eggs and a choice of sausage or bacon (I picked sausage). Everything was absolutely delicious. Portion sizes are generous--we couldn't finish everything and ended up taking boxes home, which honestly just means we get to enjoy it again later for brunch! This is a perfect stop if you're traveling along the I-15--especially for road trippers or truck drivers looking for a solid, comforting meal. Just keep in mind they're open from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, so plan accordingly. Definitely recommend if you're craving good, filling comfort food in a welcoming, homey setting

Our family has made MHC our go-to after church for years. Loved them at the original airport location and enjoy the setting now even better. Airplane atmosphere, friendly smiling staff, accessible management and the kitchen crew rock! The food is excellent! Our favorite are the pancakes, thick bacon and eggs to order and the patty melt with a real beef grilled patty, grilled onions, melted Swiss and tasty rye that hold up to the burger. We split the patty melt, it's huge!! Ask for Lisa 's section. She cares for our meal desires professionally. My coffee cup is never empty my husbands soda refilled with a smile. stoppped in here for breakfast 3 times in the last month......wow, the portions were huge, the food was hot and delicious......our waitress was a doll, service was great.....our waitress was very attentive to our needs.......my problem with this place is the owner.....i think his name is benny.......this man is a BULLY.....what a horrible man.......the 3 times i ate here, this man was rude and ranked out his waitress's....what a JERK.......he gets off on making fun of others......would rather starve than eat here again.....BULLY!!!!! I came here for breakfast with my brother after we were out late the night before. We were both starving and came to get some breakfast before he left for home. Also severs need to know that it's the Law to go have a break, I get it!!! But to come back from a smoke break smelling like a wet ash tray and leaving the smell on my plate when served, IS NOT COOL.
