    Snickerdoodle iced latte
    Jose M.

On one particular morning, we wanted to try out a new coffee shop. Some coworkers had been talking about The Grind Coffee House, so we decided to give it a try. When I got there, the dining area was pretty full, and you could tell it's a place where people like to spend time hanging out with friends over coffee. The atmosphere felt lively and welcoming. They had a lot of coffee options, with various syrups and milk choices, plus a small selection of pastries. I went with a snickerdoodle iced latte, while my wife tried an iced peanut butter latte. To be honest, the coffee itself wasn't too impressive for me--it even tasted a bit watered down once the syrup was added. Maybe it was just my drink choice, and I'd be open to trying something different next time. That said, the customer service was great. Everyone was friendly, and our order was fulfilled promptly, which definitely made the experience better overall.

We have come here for years and by far my favorite balanced coffee is the Road Warrior, which has ground coffee beans in it. I will keep coming back for this. The workers are young and welcoming. The owners are also kind. My wife and I will keep coming back.

Two small drinks and two sandwiches took over 30 minutes -- with seven employees behind the counter. The delay wasn't due to being busy, but to staff spending more time chatting than working. On top of the wait, the drinks weren't good. Won't be back. I'll stick with Six Beans Coffee Co., where service is fast, friendly, and the quality is consistently excellent.

I was in the Apple Valley area getting some check-ins done. The Grind made my day so I decided to offer my support and patronage. At first sight, I saw tons of outside patio seating with music playing through some speakers. I said cool! Upon entry, it felt very warm and welcoming with some nostalgia. Maybe it was the wood decor. Loungers, tables, and chairs were available inside. I loved the country like ambiance! I had lost my voice recently so it was hard for me to speak, but I did my best. This was my first time here so I didn't know what they offered. By the looks of the menu, it's a coffee/tea/sandwich shop with hot/cold drinks, breakfast items, pastries, and snacks. I chose the breakfast sandwich with turkey, egg, and cheese croissant. You have a choice of different meats, cheese, and bread... it's like "build your own" sandwich the way you like it. That's flexibilty! Sweet! The lady behind the register recommended medicine ball (I think it comes with mint, lemon, honey, tea) to help soothe the throat. I gave it a try. It was really warm and soothing. Thank you miss! My croissant was very tasty. Good portions of turkey. Eggs were a little runny just perfectly cooked. Cheese was melty and stringy just the way I like it. However, the presentation of the croissant was not the greatest. It was a little flat. No big deal, but just a little surprised. I'm used to plump croissants not flatten ones... that's all LOL. I ate out in the patio seating area on a clear sunny day. Overall, it was a nice and pleasant visit. I would come back again. Thank you The Grind!!!

This was my second time here. The space is clean, the baristas are friendly and it seems like a great place to study, read or catch up with friends. Their pastries are good, I ordered a chocolate muffin for my son and a banana muffin for myself. I love that they have kids size drinks. My only critic is that their coffees are SO sweet. I kindly asked them if they can remake my coffee as it was way too sweet for me. They were very nice and accommodating and made me a new drink. That drink was just as sweet, it tasted like I was drinking syrup and milk. It just wasn't my preference. If you love sweet coffees then you'll love their lattes. I would come back, but next time I would ask for suggestions on a not-so-sweet coffee.

I came to visit family and found this shop while out and about! The employees are so nice and had great recommendations, when i wasn't sure what to try. there was so many options of drinks and food, i ended up getting something new everytime! Wished I lived closer during school because it would be such a cute place to study in!

Had a bagel with Swiss, turkey, and egg & the strawberry cobbler bar, both were very delicious. The staff is very helpful and helping decide what to order, and they will bring your order to you whether you're standing, sitting or waiting outside. I went at 11 AM and it was pretty busy, lots of people sitting and hanging out, there is also outside seating as well. Lots of homemade knickknacks to purchase. The Grind has a very cozy feel with friendly staff and customers.

My son got the bourbon caramel latte, and he loved his too. The shop itself is small, but there is plenty of seating both inside and outside. What impressed me most was that there were only two employees working, and they handled the crowd incredibly well. They kept things moving, acknowledged customers as they came in and when it was their turn to order, and were still kind and friendly. The café was also very clean and well kept. For there to be only two people working and the crowd they had at 11 o'clock, I'm sure it had probably been busy all morning. Even so, everything was clean and organized. She saw us walk in, and it took about 5 minutes before she acknowledged us and said she'd be with us. At first we thought it was work related or maybe she was taking an order, but she was actually giving someone directions on how to post photos on her damn IG .SMH. When she finally took our order, one of my friends asked questions about the drink she wanted, and the employee was pretty short with her answers. My friend ended up getting what seemed like strawberry milk instead of the coffee drink with strawberry foam/syrup she expected, so unfortunately her drink was kind of a mess. Me and my other friend got the Seattle Freeze, and that was actually really good super delicious. We sat down and about 10minutes later she went right back on the phone. Another customer came in a couple with their kid and this time she clearly saw them walk in. The customers stood there waiting and looking at her, but she still didn't acknowledge them. Then she says whoever she was talking to on the phone..." Oh...customers just walked in" when the customers had literally been standing there already watching her. This is unprofessional ..customers were not a priority at all. The wait itself wasn't the issue, it was more the fact that she didn't seem to care.

We were really looking forward to a solid caffeine break... but unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark. I ordered a vanilla frozen coffee, and it honestly tasted like... nothing. It lacked sweetness, flavor depth, and that strong coffee kick you expect from a frozen drink. It just felt very flat. My husband got the Spanish latte, which should have been rich and slightly sweet with condensed milk flavor but instead, it tasted watered down. It didn't have that bold espresso taste we were hoping for. We also grabbed a cinnamon roll, which I was genuinely excited about. Sadly, that might have been the biggest letdown. It was cold, dry, and just not good. The texture and flavor were off honestly one of the worst cinnamon rolls I've had. When you're on a road trip, you want that warm, comforting pastry moment... and this wasn't it. Maybe it was an off day, but overall the drinks lacked flavor and the pastry missed the mark. It wasn't terrible service-wise just disappointing from a quality standpoint. Would I stop again on another road trip? Probably not. There are just too many great coffee spots out there to settle for something this underwhelming.

I visited this establishment today, as my family and I do quite regularly, to order three drinks…read more We typically order between two and four drinks, and we consistently add boba to each one. Unfortunately, today's experience fell well below the level of service and attention to detail I have come to expect from this establishment. While placing my order, the younger employee repeatedly asked me to repeat myself. I specifically requested boba in all three drinks. One of the drinks was a Thai tea, for which I also requested no ice because I intended to refrigerate it and enjoy it later. Given the difficulty communicating my order, I chose not to leave a tip today, despite regularly leaving a 15% tip for the service I receive. Before my order was completed, I noticed that a customer who ordered after me received his three drinks before mine. At that point, the employee looked at me and then appeared to only be beginning the third drink of my order. When I finally received my drinks, only one--the chamango--had been prepared as requested. The mango-pineapple smoothie was missing the requested boba, although thankfully I was not charged for it. The Thai tea did have boba and no ice as requested; however, it was noticeably underfilled compared with the other drinks and was not satisfactory. I therefore respectfully requested a refund for that drink. The older Asian woman who appeared to be overseeing the establishment seemed surprised by my request. I calmly explained what was incorrect and why I was dissatisfied with that Thai tea drink. Unfortunately, rather than acknowledging the mistake, apologizing, and offering a simple resolution, she remained silent and unapologetic. That response was particularly disappointing because I would expect someone in a management or leadership position to take ownership when an order is not fulfilled correctly. I work in customer service myself, and I understand how important communication, attention to detail, accountability, and professionalism are. If I or one of my employees makes a mistake, I believe the appropriate response is to acknowledge it, apologize, and promptly make it right. Customers should receive exactly what they ordered--not a partial fulfillment of their order. I am posting this primarily as constructive feedback and, hopefully, as an opportunity for management to use this experience for future training. Every customer should receive the same level of respect, courtesy, and attention regardless of whether they choose to leave a tip. There should never be any form of retaliation, whether through the handling of an order, the order's place in line, or the quality of service provided. I will give the business account holder an opportunity to respond before deciding whether my family and I will continue bringing our business here. I sincerely hope this can be addressed professionally and constructively.

No, I could place a second order to get the fried rice. Ok, whatever, I'll take the steamed rice. The Orange Chicken was like rubber. I tried to bite a piece in half and it wouldn't pull apart, so the whole piece went in my mouth and I had to use my fingers to pull it apart which was embarrassing on a first date! It didn't taste good either. I looked for a knife in the plastic silverware, but there was none. I then went for a bite of the rice and it was so stuck together that I really had to jam my fork into it. It had no flavor at all and I was not offered any kind of sauce for it. I got some salt, but it didn't help. It had obviously been in a cup and turned over on a plate (there was no bowl) so I don't see why they couldn't have substituted the fried rice. The carrots were rubbery too. The only thing half way good was the broccoli. I opted for water to drink because I couldn't see paying over $6 for flavored ice tea. I didn't want my date to feel bad for buying me such a horrible meal, so I managed to get a couple of bites down. He asked if I wanted a box. No, but I said yes, again not wanting him to feel bad. I tried the Orange Chicken again when I got home, using my paring knife, and it was still so bad that I threw the whole thing away. There were only 6-8 people in the place, but it was so noisy that I had to keep asking my date to repeat what he said because I couldn't hear him.
