Right from the first moment on the phone I knew that Daryl and Rapid Restoration would be the company we would go with. He gave me a thorough education about the process and gave me helpful advice right from the first moment. His help over the phone was always clear and accurate. He set us on the right path immediately. Seth and his crew were in our house within 48 hours to do the mitigation and boy were they thorough. The floor was pulled up, the room was disinfected and dried. And all the while, Daryl and Seth made sure that we had the documentation and backup necessary to communicate with our homeowners insurance company. With the mitigation done, the crew came back a few weeks later to actually do the repairs and get our floors back to the condition they were in before. This was equally impressive. The workmanship was truly beautiful. Seth has a great eye for design and color. Everything matches and looks beautiful. Our insurance made us whole on the plumbing work, but fought us on restoring our basement back to its previous finished state. This is where Rapid Response came in. This ongoing contact only added to the strain rather than helping resolve the situation constructively. Following the claim, my insurance situation was negatively affected, which created additional financial and logistical challenges. While I understand that many factors can influence insurance decisions, the overall handling of my case did not leave me feeling confident or supported. After weeks of back-and-forth, we eventually reached what was described as a "deal," but it did not feel like a fair or transparent resolution given the circumstances. Based on my experience, I strongly advise others to proceed with extreme caution. I never had someone text me instructions about a potential home visit before but, as I'm desperate for repairs, I went with it despite my reluctance. I asked in the text to have the tech please share their license and credentials. I don't know these people. I just needed to know who I'm letting into my home. I received a call from a gentleman I assumed to be the owner or operator who took umbrage at me asking for the credentials of the tech, and proceeded to call it "weird" (that is the word he used) that I'd ask since, and I quote, "all we're doing is an estimate." I don't care if you were building the Ark of the Covenant divined by God himself, I am not letting someone in my home without knowing fully who they are. The customer service representative assured me that an air duct vacuum would be performed and even recommended a promotional package that supposedly included both vent and duct cleaning. However, when the technician arrived, he only cleaned the vents and did not perform the air duct vacuuming as promised. When I questioned this and called the supervisor, he informed me that I had purchased only the basic package, which does not include air duct cleaning--contradicting what the representative had told me. To make matters worse, I felt pressured to proceed and pay for the service because they insisted the technician was already at my home. This felt misleading, unethical and felt like a bait-and-switch tactic. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for honest and transparent service.
