After spending almost $3000 and driving less than 100 miles the transmission in my 2019 Ford transit with less than 50k miles had to be completely rebuilt after these guys got ahold of it. And that warranty and free towing is another complete lie. Apparently the warranty is only valid if the owner, Steve can afford it. The guy must have zero morals and customer service experience. Mr transmission in Cary nc not only tried to charge me $9600.00 for causing a major issue to my powerstroke and lied on this app about aftermarket parts on my stock powerstroke but after several thousands of dollars spent to repair Mr transmission's negligence I now have video and photo documentation that this shop broke the part and wanted to gouge me on price . Before I post all of the documentation can Mr transmission explain to me how part of the broken bolt was under the head on top of a cylinder but no damage internally considering I drove the vehicle to this shop without any problem. Cold Hard Lesson" I brought my son's 02 Mitsubishi to Mr. Transmission in Cary to have the transmission rebuilt. Steven said he could rebuild it for between $2,400 and $3,400. After taking it apart he said he could not get the parts to rebuild it and that it will be $970 to get it back... unfixed! When I told him I didn't think that was fair he told me that I "have to face the cold hard facts" ( yes he used those exact words) I was forced to either pay nearly $1,000 to get back the broken car or sign over the title. Now my son has no car to get back and forth to college and we learned a "cold hard" lesson about Mr. Transmission. read more

I had a need for a expensive mechanical job and my last place failed me while doing oil changes so I did not want to go there. I'd been going to the dealership for them so I got a quote there. It was astronomical. I did some research and saw that I could potentially receive a lower quote. Luckily, a co-worker told me about Milex/ Steve and gave a good recommendation. So I decided to stop by and get a quote. I met with Steve and he was professional, courteous and listened to my issue. I discussed, not in detail, the quote from dealership and he said he would look into it and get back to me as soon as possible. I also met Heather who was super nice and offered to call me back. I got the quote and it was way less that the first! He explained that there are certain parts that would contribute to the cost and he had adjusted for the specs of my vehicle. I was shocked! I have been to a lot of mechanics over time but here, just felt different. There was a built of trust right away that it is tough to find. I love cars but mechanically, I cannot comment. The car was fixed and back to 100%. I couldn't have asked for better service. Since then, I've done a couple of other jobs to which the rate of expense has been super competitive but I chose to do them here because of the customer service. They for sure, go above and beyond. One example, my battery died at the airport, I needed a new battery but then had to go away again so Steve let me leave the car in the shop overnight so I didn't have the same issue. I know that seems small but it helped me out tremendously and that is what customer service is about. I am able to call the shop or email to find out about best times to come in. Right now doing an oil change and price is decent, very similar to other places but I can count on a good job. The waiting area is clean and spacious. There's water and coffee. Bonus - if you come during later hours, there is a place called "Woody's" across the street that I like. Food and drinks. Overall, I will continue to come here. read more

Good, honest, hard-working folk. They clearly explained the issue my car was having and gave me an estimate for parts and labor which was pretty close to the mark. They advised me of some future issues that I might want to look into, with estimates, and let me know what wasn't necessary (TPMS sensor malfunction, shock absorbers) or urgent (new back tires). After my repairs and a 7 hour road trip, they even had me come in for a quick follow-up to ensure that all the newly-replaced parts were still nice and tight and all my issues were resolved. Don't go here unless you are ok with fixing any excess damage caused by the shop. I took my car in to get the CV axle fixed on my 2012 camry and after an expected costly fix everything worked great again or so i thought. i drove it home that night in the dark and noticed immediately that one of my headlights was out. No big deal so i figured i'd ck it out myself and concluded that it wasn't the bulb, it had to be the wiring or one of the fuses. since it was the shops fault and i had no time to fix i decided to take my car back to them to have them fix it for me bc it was their responsibility. however they claimed no responsibility over it and offered to just diagnose the problem for $180. then they could look at fixing it for who knows how much more. Anything that goes wrong with someone's car while somone else is paying to have it worked should be held responsible. however they took no responsibility whatsoever and wouldn't even look at it for me without charging me $180. it's a trap! save your car and your money before it's too late. read more

Two employees of this service facility helped me push my car to their shop from another shop across the street. 2hours later Stephen the owner calls me and says they set my car on fire because they cranked it. I asked him didn't you know that the car was pushed there by myself and 2 of your employees and he said yes. So I asked well why then did you see fit to start the car sir? He blamed me we exchanged words then when I send a wrecker to get my car he had already had it towed off somewhere. This guy is a liar so is his staff and they are very unprofessional! Can you say lawsuit I have all of our calls recorded. Do not take your car here. This place changes ownership and managers constantly and this is my 3rd issue at same address but with 3 different managers and 2 different owners.
