A small booth area in the restaurant with various flavors in stock like cookie mint, cookies & cream, Peanut butter butter captain crunch and more. We opted for the Thai Tea and added dark chocolate, cookie crumble, coconut and condensed milk. The bar itself was pretty frozen so I would wait a bit before digging in. The thai tea flavor was definitely there and the toppings were fresh. The cookies were crumbling/crunching which was a great compliment. And the price is right, only $5 for a custom popsicle, with the spooned on sauce of your choice (dark, milk or white chocolate) and any toppings you want. The server helping us was really nice and put a healthy amount of toppings on top. I got Ube with dark chocolate and coconut and graham crackers and they also sprinkle on some condensed milk syrup. It's very sweet and fun. E got Cookie Monster with chocolate sprinkles and vanilla wafers (and dark chocolate and condensed milk). Her's was good too. Neither of them had the top tier tastes, but again, it's fun, yummy and reasonably priced! This is definitely a good choice for a cheat day! After my third visit, I noticed that their ice cream bar flavors change often. Which is good because this will have you coming back for something different. And the flavors are unique - ube, tiramisu, green tea kit kat, chai tea, etc. Their melted chocolate offerings are good - white and milk chocolate. You can drape your ice cream and have them cascade their toppings which are off the charts - coconut, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, peanuts, etc. It's unlimited so you can ask for a wild combo. I do want to say that the person preparing your customized dessert will determine if it'll be over the top or just mediocre. On my first two visits - the desserts were a work of art. Deep within the depths of The Crab Pad (not really, it's right up front), lies a mysterious and wondrous side shop (again, not really, it's all pretty well explained and laid out), ran by curious creatures (i lie, they are lovely, friendly and informative people) and full of delicious treats (now that part is finally true). A friend had told me about Milk and Wood plus it's walkable from home, so when I saw a Groupon pop up for them, I jumped on it. My friend and I dined at The Crab Pad first because really, how can you not when they share the same space, then made our way to the Milk and Wood counter. The lady working there was so friendly and so excited to tell us about a new kid on the block - the Smores Pop. She was so psyched about it, that it rubbed off on me and I ordered one straight away. She was really excited when I ordered it and got to work! Adding all of the toppings on their milk bars is definitely a process and took some time. Layer after layer was put on top, drizzling some of this, spreading some of that, fireblowing (yes, they scorched part of mine) a little of this - it was intense. But in the end, I came out with a really delicious, monstrous dessert. Now my gelato pop was incredibly good with all the cray toppings but I have a feeling even without anything you'd be happy. They had some really cool flavors of gelato pops like my Smores flavor, Vietnamese Coffee, Green tea, and a bunch more. The Smores pop I got had preset toppings and she would ask every step of the way if I wanted this or that and I said HECK YEA to everything. However, you can decide all your own toppings if you like, as well. Now the base price of $5 may seem pricey to some but you can add as many toppings as you like for that price. Wanted to check this place out because of all the good reviews I've read and the yummy looking pictures of their ice creams. First off, the ice cream stand is located in The Crab Pad. I went on a Tuesday around 5pm and I was sad to see the small selection of flavors they had available. I tried the buko pandan and my boyfriend had the Ube (purple yam) flavor. I like how you are able to add as many toppings as you would like. It seemed like they lacked toppings or ran out of it, despite them just opening for the day which I found disappointing, but maybe I just went on a bad day. The ice cream was SO GOOD. It was $5 in total for unlimited toppings of you choice. I would say it is a little steep especially since the ingredients are only put on one side of the ice cream popsicle. There is just isn't enough room to hoard this ice cream bar of yours. I really like the texture and flavoring of it though. You can tell it is high quality with how creamy and rich it was. Our sole mission was to try some of the sugary goodness Yelp Elite's like Gerry T had shared on their food adventures. Sadly today, the cooler that contained all the various choices was broken. :( Horror came upon my heart. "Nooooo! Did we travel all this way for no ice cream???!?!?" Thankfully, the server informed us that they still had some flavors in the back while the cooler was being repaired. I did a silent happy dance in my heart. We decided to order the green tea kit kat and thai tea gelato bars ($5 each with all you can add toppings). Both flavors were creamy and delicious (see my pictures). Inside Crab Pad (I'll be honest, not the type of spot I'd expect a creative gelato bar to be nestled within), is a small section devoted to M&W. For $5 you can purchase a bar of your choice with flavors ranging from cereal to cookies and creme. The steps from the point on are drawn out on the wall actually. You select the toppings which range from chocolate to fruity pebbles, and choose a drizzle that wraps up the bar. I ordered the cereal bar with fruity pebbles, graham cracker, and white chocolate drizzle. I loved it and would go again any other weekend. I don't know what form of wizardry they use to keep the popsicle from melting while using a blowtorch on the Smores one but it's wonderful. Originally I thought the whole ice cream was made of the Japanese version of the Kit Kat bar with green tea, but it is actually green tea ice cream with a piece of Kit Kat bar inside. Tell you know so you don't get fooled like me. it is still good nonetheless! Once you picked out your ice cream, you have the option of smothering it with toppings. For $1 more, you can get unlimited toppings! That's right...UNLIMITED! My favorite is the condense milk. It goes so well with ice cream I'm telling you.
