Came here for my Saturday treat. What a mistake. Their menu: its a digital menu. It was changing screens so fast I couldn't read it fast enough to decide what I want? Service: cashier seemed new? Didn't know what was what. Had to ask if they had egg pudding (why wouldn't you have egg pudding?!) Drinks: Tried ordering the rainbow slushy. They did not have. Ordered boba milk tea. Few months back I remember seeing a "Coming Soon" sign and finally came around to checking it out! Theyve only been open about a month and a half. First thing I noticed entering was the design of this place, it's so modern and spacious! Plenty of space for groups to come and sit and hang out. Best thing? They even have game boards for you to play with that you can get from the register. My favorite thing about this place is the USB outlets! Each table has an outlet within reach which is a bonus; a lot of places have 1-2 outlets for a section of tables. That becomes a hassle for when people come in to work there. It's very encouraging to know that there's free WiFi and plenty of outlets to work with here. The boba is decently priced (more expensive than Quickly but slightly cheaper than ShareTea) and it's delicious. They have daily free samples and the employees here are more than welcoming with having you try it all. Cool little novelty are the white pearls. They are identical to regular pearls but just white (transparent kinda). Definitely will come back here again and encourage anyone looking for a place to cool down for the summer to check out! read more

Finally a casual hangout place in the suburbs that opens past 11pm! They have a decent selection of board games for you to dig through. I wouldn't call it a trendy place but it's def where you'll find all the teens at on a Friday night. Love that you get to customize the sugar/ice level of your drink. I got the jasmine milk tea with 30% sugar and less ice. It was good! Service was quick even though we went on a busy Friday night. The store is in a shopping plaza so there's ample parking. Price range is average except I noticed that the taro milk tea was $5.50 according to the menu while all the other drinks were less than that. read more

This review is long overdue, but I know I had to do it. My relationship with Milk Tea Lab started last Fall when I inquired about ordering milk tea for my wedding. The first person I spoke to was one of the employees, who took down my number for the manager to get back to me because he didn't want to mislead me with wrong information about my inquiry. Not long after, I spoke to the manager and told her the plan. I wanted a simple order, 100 milk teas with boba. She then suggested agar boba, which I was familiar with, but never tried. She told me it would be better for transport and regular tapioca would get hard overtime, but agar doesn't. So, I trusted her and took her suggestion and our order was placed. My husband and I got married really close by, probably less than 10 mins away. The milk tea was meant as a "late night snack." The Milk Tea Lab rep came on time. As soon as they came, oh man....it was crazy. Our guests were hovering over the table being set up and eventually created their own line. It was during our "money dance" when the milk tea arrived and I noticed a lot of our guests off to the side waiting for boba lol. As soon as they were ready, it didn't last 5 mins on the table. The guests loved it! The agar boba was really good and we even had guests asking what kind of boba it was. It was a hit! Our only regret was not ordering more because some people weren't able to get one. Also, we didn't think everyone would want one, but we couldn't have been more wrong lol. Thanks to my brother for sneaking off and saving us a few for the end of the night, because if it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have been able to try it. I have absolutely no idea how this place has 4 stars. I'm a pretty fair reviewer, but color me disappointed. Let's start with the "#1" in their top drinks. Milk cow drink. Granted this might be my own fault for not asking, but it's literally just milk with grass jelly. Are you serious? I assumed milk tea with grass jelly, maybe even some kind of Oreo/cookies and cream type of play since It's a black and white drink. But just straight up milk and grass jelly? That's what's costing me $4.50?? I could've bought a half gallon of milk and grass jelly and made that myself for that price. Next let's go to #3 drink, pearl milk tea. Bland. Weak tea flavor. Hard to chew boba. If they at least had strong tea flavor, I wouldn't have left a 2 star review to make up for that horrible first drink. Also, the store smelled like cleaning products. While I appreciate that they're keeping their establishment clean, the first thing you should smell when you walk into a tea shop like this is tea and/or the food from kitchen, not cleaning supplies. Ok, I came back last week since I just had to try that Matchacha and Taro milk tea everyone was talking about. Cool, they were delicious, that Matchacha was soooo smooth, that Taro was the legit Taro back at home. Felt really nostalgic. So I guess the first time I came here, the Matcha Milk tea I got was a dud... The wife took us here after some shopping. It's located in Pleasant Hill tucked away in a corner next to a grocery store. This was mine and my sons first time here. The Milk Tea Lab specializes in milk tea and boba drinks. Upon entering the establishment, you will notice it caters a very young and hip feel. There is music playing and the best part is they have ample board games that you can play while you enjoy your milk tea or snack. I had the mango green tea boba which was listed as one of the shops favorites. My wife had the regular milk tea with jelly. The drinks were good and price was decent. My wife and I also ordered the popcorn chicken. Let me just say that the popcorn chicken was delicious. I'm not sure what the seasoning or spices was but it tasted good. But as a small warning to those who eat the popcorn chicken...your burps will smell like the popcorn chicken for the rest of the day lol. Free WiFi and restroom available to customers if you need a place to get some work done (they play Korean music, so bring earphones if you want to enjoy your own!) Came here a few weeks ago to switch up our usual ShareTea routine and check out their drinks. I tried the classic milk tea and my husband got the passion fruit green tea. Here's what I thought about what we ordered: Classic milk tea- I would say it's about average. Nothing special it was a tad bland, I personally like ShareTea's milk tea a lot better. Passion fruit tea- I normally don't like passion fruit because it can taste a little bitter in my opinion but I really liked this one and my husband wasn't a huge fan. Disappointed to say the least.. I came in at around 7:30pm and ordered the matcha milk tea. Maybe I was too ambitious and should've ordered something more simple? The matcha milk tea tasted like powder, and nothing like matcha whatsoever. I love my boba, and I couldn't even finish half before tossing it. Probably the worst matcha milk tea I've had. I luckily was the person to get their last serving of boba. However, it was not nearly enough boba for a regular drink. Bottom of the barrel scraps. I finally tried this place after reading all the rave reviews. The place is vibrant and bright. The cashier was super sweet and friendly. I was going to get what I always get at these places, milk tea with boba. However, I tried a lychee milk tea recently and it was delicious. I didn't see that on the menu here but thought I'd ask. And luckily I did, the cashier said they do have it on a secret menu & that it was made with roasted tea then add the flavor. I thought what the heck? Why not! She even said if I didn't like it she would make me something else. After a few minutes she delivered my tea to me and hoped I'd like it. Walked into the lab recently to try what they offered and the choices were really limited and quite frankly, really gross toppings. Tried the plain old milk tea and the tea itself tasted really bad- like the machine that processes the tea hadn't been cleaned or ??? I know what bad tea taste like and both of our drinks had a steady flavor of "something isn't right" taste. Establishment isn't all that clean and I presume the cleaning of the food handling equipment is about the same- less than desirable. If this was my first experience trying milk tea, I'd never try it again. That's how bad it was. I cried tears of sadness and frustration when I had my first sip of my taro milk tea. It tasted and smelled like dirty old towels drenched in stagnant water. Eeeekkk!!! Boba quality is okay. Size is small, and QQ level is nothing memorable, no flavor. Grass jelly is pleasant. Milk drinks are good and sweet - think Purple Kow. Their original milk tea was prob my favorite tea base. They'll let you sample some of their basic teas if you ask (regular, jasmine, roasted). Space is pretty large and comfortable. They have plenty of seats...when its not being perma-occupied by people working on their laptops. That being said, it's a popular destination to work at. Decent bubble tea. I like my drinks with more of a tea taste and this one had more of a syrup taste to it. The boba was ok, a little on the chewier side. We got my daughter the mango smoothie. You can only decrease the sugar level to 80% on the smoothies (which my daughter was happy with). It was good but sweet. The staff was very courteous and friendly. I love their size to price ratio. Regular was $4 which in other boba spots I feel like it would be a large size and for more. Their large size was $4.50 which is a deal for the extra $0.50. The tapioca was cooked just right, not too over or under cooked.
