BELIEVE THE HYPE! Been here 2 days in a row! Omg Lol. First experience of Milkbomb Ice Cream was at their San Francisco location back when they first opened. Was so excited when I found out months ago they were opening closer to home and work. Took them a while to finally open and I almost lost hope lol. Glad to have them in the neighborhood. It was bomb then and even better now. I don't know what they have done but it seems like they have made some improvements. Quality seems better. Employee said they use organic cream and plant based food coloring like blue spirulina for their Aqua Dream flavor which is what I ordered. Sooooo Gooood. I topped it off with Torched Marshmallow Fluff! OMG. I'm drooling just thinking about it. The donuts are wayyyy better than I remember from my last SF visit. I bought a donut on the side to go and it's so soft and fluffy! I'm not exaggerating but I think their donut is one of the best I've had. So good that I bought a dozen for the office the next day. Seriously amazed that an ice cream shop could make such a great donut. This is so dangerous that I live/work so close to this shop. I might have to make a daily trip just for their donut. ICE CREAM/ MILKBOMB SANDWICH: 10/10 Super Premium Ice cream made with organic cream and natural ingredients and plant based food coloring. Ice cream did not stain my tongue. I opted for a half UBE half Aqua Dream in the Milkbomb Sandwich topped off with Fruity Pebbles and torched marshmallow fluff topping. I sampled Good Morning Vietnam (Viet Coffee) and Creamy Horchata. Both were also really good! Really can't get any better than this. Rich and creamy. Texture was firm and not melted easily. I like my ice cream hard. CUSTOMER SERVICE: 100/100 While we were waiting in line they kindly greeted and acknowledged us and said "welcome to Milkbomb thank you for waiting we'll be right with you". Who does that!? They even offered my dog a sample of ice cream and then offered some water! Most businesses should come here to study how to implement Customer Service cause these folks Got It Down! Yes their was a wait but they handcraft each treat individually. Great for that social media photo op. Worth the wait in line for sure. They we're really patient with the customers and with us in trying samples. Even though a line was forming behind us we didn't feel rushed. Staff seemed liked they were happy to be their and enjoyed their jobs. So rare these days in Berkeley and just everywhere in general. DONUT: 10/10 Officially Addicted! Got the glazed donut. So Fluffy and Soft. Not overly sweet like Krispy Kreme. Good by itself but Ask for it to be warmed up and heat pressed. Trust me! INTERIOR 10/10 Small and cute little space. Limited seating as it's a grab and go shop. Clean and well maintained. Their restroom smells better and cleaner than most peoples homes that I've been to! Seriously. I would sleep in their it's that clean. AMBIENCE 10/10 Friendly Smiling faces. Clean. Nice Hawaiian/reggae music playing. Not too loud to the point where my friends and I couldn't hear each other talking. Chain look with a mom n pop feel. PRICE: 10/10 Reasonably priced for high quality ice cream and donuts. I've tried Milkbomb a couple times in San Francisco and was so excited to hear they were opening a store in my city. My friends and I were trying to make it on opening day but as we drove by the line was SO long we decided to come back. For one reason or another we didn't make it back until tonight and were surprised to still encounter a line even though it was raining outside. The staff seems very attentive and although there was only 2 people working the line seemed to move fairly quick. I sampled a couple flavors, my absolute favorite was the matcha cookies and cream. It was ridiculously good, so much so that i started devouring it before even thinking about taking a decent picture By the time i remembered to take a pic for the gram i had already gone through half of it and sadly the perfect sphere of ice cream was no more. I used their restroom before ordering and was pleasantly surprised with how clean it was. It smelled fresh and looked very clean despite it being the end of the day. Most businesses don't upkeep their bathrooms throughout the day and at the end of the night they look absolutely disgusting, not at Milkbomb though! They really seem to care about cleanliness here! I'll definitely be back soon, maybe even tomorrow to get another fix of that matcha cookies or maybe even split with the white rabbit, that flavour sounded intriguing as well! read more

Parking in West Berkeley along Shattuck is always challenging, even on weekday nights. The shop is incredibly small, with no indoor seating and only two tables outdoors. When we arrived, there was about a 5-10 minute line (with 5 people ahead of us, but only 2-3 staff members working), but the service was still very quick for us. Milk Bomb Sando - $9: We ordered the ube pandesal, which I would rate 9.5/10. The ube bread wasn't overly sweet and had a delightful chewiness to it. I appreciated that it was thin, ensuring that each bite had a perfect ratio of bread to ice cream. We opted for half ube and half Brazilian sweet corn ice cream. Single Scoop - $6.5: We chose half pumpkin spice and half mocha almond fudge. Ice Cream Flavors: 9/10 Ube: The ube flavor was moderately strong, but it had a slightly artificial taste. Nevertheless, it was creamy and very enjoyable. 8.5/10 Brazilian Sweet Corn: This was a unique flavor that turned out to be quite solid. The corn taste was discernible and not overly sweet. 9/10 Mocha Almond Fudge: The coffee flavor was incredibly robust! I felt it could have used more fudge to balance out the bitterness of the coffee, but perhaps it was just that scoop. 8.5/10 Pumpkin Spice: The flavor was a bit subtle on the pumpkin spice side, but still quite good overall. read more

Came here last night right before closing and was able to catch one of the last orders - thank god for that because this was quite delicious! We ended up getting one of the donut ice cream sandwiches and so glad we did. If you like a combo of sweet with salty, this place is one you'd like - esp with the sandwich thing. Also the hot and cold combo is great. We ended up getting the glazed donut on the outside with ube ice cream and the chocolate brownie/fudge ice cream. I love this small ice cream shop. They have tons of flavours you can choose, and special ice cream sandwich with Ube donuts which is my favourite! Reasonable price one sandwich is enough for me and my friend. Staffs are friendly. Its a gem I'll for sure come back and try other flavours. read more
