On a trip out of G concourse we visited the newly remodeled Mill City Tavern. It was fairly slow in terms of overall traffic at MSP so we easily grabbed a table but they are extremely plentiful so would expect it is rare to have a difficult time getting a spot. Like many airport eateries everything is ordered and paid through a QR code app, and it isn't cheap. We ordered Bloody Mary (2/5), a Diet Coke and a side of fries (3/5) which came to $36 including tip. A single 16 Oz beer will run you a little over $10 with tax and tip. I live the convenience of the whole Process and having a nicer option that just sitting at the gate but be prepared to pay a premium!

Zero stars if you want my honest opinion. Yes I understand that airport food is expensive in the first place; however $30 for 6 wings and a beer plus a service fee is a complete rip off. The wings were so disgusting that when I got them and smelled them- my stomach turned. I got the maple bbq- my mistake but the other flavor was a honey mustard ipa and that also sounds awful. I ended up trying to scrape off the dry rub to make them edible. The best part of all of this was the buzz I got from the beer. Beer ranges $8 and up which isn't too bad. Ambiance is...airport noise

Meh. Ate on the way through and got a jojos and a pop for way too much but airports are crazy. The blue cheese w sweet potatoes was decent. Look of the place was decent. Maybe people like this but my biggest dig on this was the lack of customer service. You order on an app and then the food slowly comes, they forgot my drink and eventually brought but never showed up again. Just lack luster.

This bar and eatery is located in the G terminal at MSP near G18. The bar is actually a good size compared to other airport bars. The menu can be found online or through their app. The grilled cheese sandwich was ordered and was actually very tasty. It's an ideal location for watching sports on the big screens or people watching. I highly recommend thos spot to take a rest before or after your flight.

This has to be the worst tasting chicken wings I have ever had. The best thing on the plate was the celery, and I absolutely hate celery.

I know it's an airport but this was way overpriced. My wife got a bowl of fruit which was good sized, but $10 seemed like a lot for something that's typically a side anywhere else. I got a Bloody Mary and it was $16 and it was either the worst or second worst I've ever had. The drink in general was watered down like crazy. I couldn't taste the alcohol whatsoever, but to make it worse, I couldn't taste the tomato portion either. It tasted like water with tomato flavoring. I do not recommend this place whatsoever.

Portion of steak is much smaller than in the picture. Mashed potatoes are propping it up

The food was great, but the photos are a little deceptive. I ordered the steak with chimichurri, mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables for dinner. The steak was prepared medium well (although I asked for medium) and the portion was much smaller than in the photo. It looked bigger than it was partly because of the way it was propped up on the mashed potatoes. Also, there were quite a few fatty pieces on such a small portion on meat. That was a bit disappointing. But... there is a bright spot. That chimichurri. Oh. My. Goodness. It was undoubtedly the best chimichurri I have ever had. The brightness and freshness it added to the dish was absolutely out of this world. Expertly crafted and very well done. The mashed potatoes were very good. The veggies, however, were swimming in oil (probably from the chimchurri) and were cooked a little softer than I would have liked. The cabernet blend I paired with dinner (whose name I cannot recall, unfortunately) was a perfect compliment. The restaurant has table-side tablets (iPads?), so no waiting on a server to come take you order or looking around for them when it is time to pay the bill. I love that; helps me to get on my way faster.

MSP, Minnesota For airport food it is quite good and the high prices are to be expected. I like that you order the food on an iPad and pay at your seat in the waiting area. I usually get the salmon filet but I don't recall that it costs $33. So I passed on that and got the roast turkey sandwich with fries. The sandwich was excellent, the only problem I had was the photo clearly shows bacon in the sandwich. However, when placing the order, the bacon is an extra $2. What the hell the price just went from 16.50 to $18.50. Really? Generous amount of turkey though. Fries were good, some still had potato skin remnants which I like. Not overdone and not greasy. Just a bit over salted but the catsup attenuated that. Beware, they also tack on the tip to the final bill, even if you hated everything. So with the addition of bacon($2), avocado ($1), and the added on gratuity, the total cost for this sandwich came to $24.50.

    iPads at every bar seat!

I also had a mojito style cocktail that was not my favorite and tasted a bit too strong for me. (I realize that might be ambiguous, so what I mean by "great for solo people" is that you won't feel uncomfortable coming here alone. It's easy to chat with people if you want to; it's easy to just enjoy the music if you want to.) Okay, I know you want to hear about the drinks. They have a great selection of beer on tap. They have tons of cocktails, including a selection of barrel-finished cocktails. Not drinking tonight? They have plenty of THC and even a CBD-only option (winning!), along with some non-altering choices that include switchel(!). There's a huge outdoor patio with fire pits that I will probably check out next time. Anyway, this is a great spot!

The inside is beautiful and made for a really nice dining experience. We started with the Eichten's cheese curds, and they were excellent. They were soft on the inside, some had a great cheese pull, and the spicy dipping sauce paired really well with them. I ordered the Flat Iron Frites. The steak was seasoned well, cooked nicely, and didn't have much fat, which I appreciated. The fries were crispy and came with house-made ketchup. I usually don't even like ketchup, but this one was actually really good. My partner ordered the deviled eggs as his appetizer, and he enjoyed them so much he finished them in no time. For dessert, we had the Strawberry Shortcake Crème Brûlée, and it was fantastic. I've never had crème brûlée like that before. It was a unique twist on a classic dessert and ended the meal perfectly. The only small downside was that the complimentary water tasted clean and fresh. But it was warm instead of cold. First off, going through the hidden Coke machine entrance is actually really fun and makes the whole place feel like a little adventure. The decor and speakeasy atmosphere are definitely the standout. Very cool space. VERY loud though. Like "lean across the table and say WHAT?" loud at times. The waitress was super nice and recommended a mocktail for me that called Ass in the Sand. It ended up being really good. It tasted like an elevated lemonade and was probably one of my favorite parts of the meal. Started with the rolls and whipped honey butter which were delicious. Very soft, warm, and honestly dangerous because I could've just kept eating bread all night. For the main meal, I did the Wagyu Burger with Parmesan fries. The burger itself was okay but surprisingly didn't have a ton of flavor outside of the grilled/charred taste. The Parmesan fries were actually the standout for me -- hand cut fries and parmesan fries are just hard to mess up. My partner tried the Mushroom Soup en Croute and wasn't a fan because the mushrooms were blended and he said it lacked flavor. He also had a Steak Taco special using their medallion steak and said even with lime it still needed more flavor. Finished with Crème Brûlée which is always a classic favorite for me and this one was good. Overall: fun experience, cool hidden entrance, great decor, good mocktail and bread, but the actual food menu is pretty limited and the flavors didn't totally wow me for the price. Glad I went and finally crossed it off my list, but probably a one-and-done visit for me.
