Updating my review after a visit this evening where we enjoyed two different entrees. I had the…read moreGrilled Salmon and Shrimp over Spinach with Asparagus and my partner got the Chicken Marsala. Both entrees came with a cold, fresh side salad with a tangy Italian dressing. The entrees were very good. The salmon had a nice char, but was moist and flavorful. If you like salmon with a sauce, you'll be disappointed. I like mine simple, and this is a well-prepared salmon. The shrimp (3 large) were good. The spinach had a nice garlic flavor and the asparagus was well prepared - not mushy. The chicken Marsala also was good. The Marsala was light (not thick) and somewhat sweet. Very good. Honestly, the bread service was pretty disappointing. Our last visit the bread was fine, but this basket was pretty dried out and almost seemed stale. The oil accompanying the bread had almost no cheese in it. Essentially, you dipped tasteless bread into oil. Really disappointing. I'm not going to reduce my overall restaurant score for this one thing (because the entrees were very good), but the bread service was not good. The service was good.

The Wild Mushrooms with artichoke were just awesome and oh-so-plentiful, I do believe this one dish could've been a meal all in itself -- but not knowing that, I also got the Grilled Romaine because I'd never had such a thing before, and was interested in trying it. It was great! The Bowl Soup was delicious and comforting as soup is desired to be. Note on the soup: it doesn't have any pasta it in (or at least mine didn't), so if you're watching carbs or avoiding wheat, this is an excellent choice! It all came with some bread, too (that I ended up making a sandwich out of with some of the grilled romaine dish later). This was way more than one meal for me! All of it was delicious! ** Today, I fi-na-ly made it to Fontina Grille in person! It was a beautiful day to eat outside as long as there was some shade -- and so, the awning was put out just for us to lunch outdoors. There is a great selection on this menu and at lunch you can order either lunch or dinner portions. The lunch portions were certainly plentiful! The service was great, and everything was absolutely delicious! I especially enjoyed my side of zoodles. I was surprised and amazed at how well they were done -- they were so luxuriously long, it was really fun! They were also a beautiful bright green, cooked perfectly (not too hard, not too soft -- just right!), nice to twirl on a fork, and came with a really great, garlicky sauce. Mmm .... The salad greens were spectacular, the cheeses were mouth-melty, the bread at the beginning was superbly crisp on the outside and sturdy but soft enough, and chewy on the inside, the dipping olive oil with some grated cheese was excellent and helped tide me over 'til the antipasti of Wild Mushrooms came. I heard the Chilean Sea Bass in the Sea Bass Spring Salad was 'like butta,' it was so soft and easy to cut through and apparently very good. It came with salad greens, cutely-cut, skin-removed orange wedges, strawberry slices all neatly arranged around the edges, and a bit of delectably soft cheese. What can I say? Nothing was amiss! Parking was easy and couldn't be closer, with two designated accessible parking spots available right across the small street, and one not far around the corner. The ambiance outside (where we ate) was very nice. Everything was made easy. The (women's) bathroom is capacious, with a big, accessible stall and two others. The indoor dining area is very big with lots of tables. The best part of walking through the indoor area is catching a glimpse of the real fire, ready to bake! Overall, everything was totally enjoyable!

They're delicious, although, as on previous visits, they tend to be quite oily. Fortunately, that's easily remedied by blotting them with a paper towel. I ordered the Braised Beef Noodle Soup. The braised beef was incredibly flavorful and tender--I only wish there had been more of it! My husband ordered the Thai Basil Chicken. It wasn't the typical Thai basil flavor we expected, but he still really enjoyed the dish. Overall, we had another great meal and will definitely be back.

It's definitely a mom and pop feeling, but with a larger space. Interesting color palette combination of a place. The decor is minimal to.... I don't remember any decor, but what's the most important? Food. I was pleasantly surprised by the cost to amount ratio and the taste. They executed the dishes well. I like their Potato Eggplant dish which isn't prominent in other Chinese restaurants in the area. It wasn't busy at the time we were there on a Friday night so we had excellent service. Our servers spoke English and Chinese. Attentive and the food came out really quick. Overall, I would come back. It's not a spot to impress or to dress up to go, but if you're hungry and want a casual Chinese food spot, that's also authentic enough to bring a Chinese person, this is definitely worth a try.

On this visit, we both got selections like what we had around our early times of visiting this spot. I cannot remember what my friend got, but I ordered one of the "Feasty Specials" which had 1/2 Snow Crab Legs and 1/2 Headless Shrimp. It came with sausages (sliced in pieces), 1 Corn (about 1/4 size), 1 Egg, and 2 Potatoes (the skin easily comes off). You get to pick the seasoning and I had Old Bay. What is presented to you is a large clear bag, steamed up and tied, with seasonings and all mixed up. It is served on a metal tray, and they also place an empty bowl on your table for discarding things. Plastic bib was on, bag opened, and I was ready to dig in. The seasoning took me back to my second visit a few years ago. It was when I first tasted their Old Bay mix and became a fan of it. This Feasty Special was just enough and I was glad to switch things up for a change.

Overall, the food is good, and, in our opinion, you do get what you pay for. Keep in mind that they DO charge you if you have leftover food on your table when you are done. Be mindful of that and make sure to let them know as you are finishing up, and want more, to scale down your portion size. There is a 90-minute window to eat. The servers don't really go over the menu much, so if it is your first time for all you can eat, make sure to take notice that the crab legs do come with a few different flavor options. The bad - They started a new policy, which I understand, but do not like. If you want all you can eat, everyone who is at the table must all order it as well, or nobody can. I understand they are protecting their profits, but that has taken us away from this place on more than one occasion to eat elsewhere as some wanted it and another family members wanted to order off the main menu. Also, service can be extremely slow, and I am not sure if it is intentional or not, but we have complained more than once and made them extend our time. Last time we went, they set our first order of food down on the table and as we were eating, the waitress walked by no less then 5 times and didn't bother to ask if we wanted anything else. Then, magically, when our food was gone, we could not get anyone to come to the table for 15 minutes. Upon ordering our next round, it took another 20 more minutes for the food to arrive. They are sticklers about the 90-minute time frame, and we explained that twice this has happened and 60 minutes of our 90 minutes was wasted waiting on a server and then the food took forever. They allowed us one more round of food, which we appreciated and thought was fair. We start a stopwatch now and if we feel things are going slow, we address that with the server and sometimes put in a new order when the food is being dropped off. Overall, we are pleased to come here a few times a year. We only get all you can eat and usually are happy when we leave. The food is inconsistent as we do get the lobster tail with all you can eat, and it is usually overcooked and can chew like rubber, but still has good flavor. The crab legs sometimes come out waterlogged with salt, but most times piping hot. This is your typical "average" 3-star restaurant. If you are prepared to spend the money for all you can eat, you will leave satisfied and full, but never will you think "I wish I could come here every week". I have not ordered specific entrees off the regular menu so I cannot speak on portion size or quality of the food by ordering that way. Staff is always pleasant, but you do need to get on them if they are slacking.

The firecracker salmon spring rolls were a little different than the typical spring rolls we're used to seeing, thinner and more delicate, but still incredibly flavorful and delicious. We enjoyed them and the entrees were both big. Today, we got the lunch special, which is a choice of entree from the lunch menu and a can of soda, all for $12.95. I got the spicy pork bowl and my partner got the teriyaki shrimp bowl. Both were delicious. I enjoyed the spiciness of my sauce, but the sauce also had a bit of sweet to it and was pretty light (some sauces are gelatinous). Same with the teriyaki. The shrimp were well prepared (there were 8 of them!) and the sauce nice and light. The server came by a couple of times to fill water glasses and I actually took some of my entree home for dinner - with the rice, it's a lot to eat. Speaking of the rice, although it's simple boiled white rice, I liked the texture and it was good. Unfortunately, I've tried a few of their offerings now, but have still not tried the fried chicken/wings. I'll have to try them another time.

Some of the whole chicken pieces (especially the breast) were a bit dry or had more breading than meat. But the wings we ordered were super tender, juicy, and flavorful. The included sides are pickled radish, salad, and coleslaw, which were a nice touch. They helped cut through the oiliness and paired well with the chicken. Our favorite flavor was the "sweet & spicy" wings (level 2 spice), nice kick and really tasty. The "white snow" flavor was sweet and powdery (kind of like sweet cheddar), not my thing but my friends enjoyed it. The menu was a bit hard to understand at first and felt a little overwhelming to navigate. Took us a few minutes to figure out how to order. Servicewise, the food came out in waves. We got fries and one half chicken first, then the rest of the food and drinks about 20 minutes later. Not a huge issue, but it would've been better if fries and drinks came out first. Overall, fun vibes and cute decor. I'd come back for drinks and wings with friends. Bonus: there's a cute free photo booth in the back of the restaurant near the bathroom.
