Came in from a hike at Red Rocks and we wanted ice cream. We saw this place and walked in. They had ice cream and a full menu. A waitress told us someone will be with us in a second. We waited a few minutes. Saw someone come out of the kitchen, maybe the cook/manager/bookkeeper/owner (who knows), tells the waitress "we aren't taking any food orders." He walked right by us and didn't say a word. We waited a couple of more minutes. The man with many hats comes back and says to us, we are only serving ice cream. Then he walks away like he was expecting us to leave. We should have but we wanted ice cream and we were going to get it! I did not want to disappoint my 9 year old niece and my teenage daughter. So we stood there. The man comes back and finally asks, can I help you? Yes, yes you can. We gave him our ice cream orders. My daughter ordered a shake, the last order we gave him. As he was making the shake, he asks, "anything else?" We didn't hear him because his personality was so loud. So he asks again in such a charming voice, "ANYTHING ELSE?!" Nope! The group behind us ordered food. How did we know?! As we sat outside with our mediocre ice cream, we see the group with a table number. A few minutes later, they had food brought out to them. Dive bar (which we liked) with excellent "bar food". My friend and i both had the chicken sandwich with green chilies and jalapenos, and they were very good. They really did the french fries right, too! read more

We came for the Duck Races last Tuesday which the bar next door put on to celebrate their 10th anniversary (Morrison Holiday Bar next door to Mill Street Deli). We split a Turkey/Bacon Reuben (only a 300 pound NFL player could eat it all gone alone--it's huge). I liked the Turkey/Bacon Reuben better than the traditional Reuben with corned beef. With this Reuben came tater tots and sweet potato fries. All 3 items were great!!! Plus, later in the day I had a single dip of ice cream and it was the most generous single dip of ice cream I EVER ate. read more

Cute historic burger joint next to a babbling brook. On nice days take advantage of the patio seating and eat your lunch outside or in the covered patio if it's a little chilly. The outside patio has picnic tables and you can watch the water go by, and the inside has fire pit tables you can sit around, both options are awesome. The burger side of this restaurant is an order at the counter type of place, sandwiches do not come with sides, but you do get $1 off sides with your order. I thought the classic burger was ok, slathered with your choice I cheese, I ordered pepper jack. My only issue was it was a little pricey and they don't use local beef, 6.75 for a just a regular no frills burger with no sides was a little disappointing. We also ordered sides of tots, sweet potato fries and fried mushrooms. For three people that was a lot of sides so you definitely get your money's worth with that. You can order soda at the counter or walk across to the attached bar and grab a beer so there are plenty options there. Overall a great little stop in Morrison. read more

Long time customer, used to be great wings and friendly service. Showed up 30min before close, guy behind the counter was clearly irritated at our presence. Simple order of wings, was impatient at our slow response at to which sauce we wanted. Wings were over cooked in what was clearly old fryer grease. Watched as employee stated to the 5 customers after use that he would rather be going home then waiting on them. At 12 mins after 10 we were asked to move to the over crowded bar with our few remaining wings. I asked for a To go container only to have the employee literally stand feet away arms crossed practically chase us out the door. As in any restaurant there is a time when they stop serving, I as a customer understand this but having lived in town for 5 yrs I have enjoyed my experience time and time again but the attitude of the person serving us tonight was not only offensive but down right inexcusable. read more

I had been wondering what this place was like and this evening, though pressed for time, decided to stop in for icecream with my family. I can say to you, never again! We waited for someone to acknowledge our presence for about ten minutes. Then, when the girl who finally took our order (for ICECREAM!), she went back to doing other duties, example: cleaning off her grill, and it literally was as if we never ordered. After she took several other orders behind ours, I said, "can we have our ice cream by any chance?" She replied by saying she would get it in a minute. Five more minutes went by and she got the icecream. Now, much of this is the owner's fault for not properly staffing and for making one girl do two jobs. Owner: shame on you! I hope cutting costs is worth losing customers! We will certainly never be back! read more

I have stopped in to Mill Street Deli 2 times now - they have good quality burgers and fries. Burgers are made with good bread and fresh ingredients. The fries were nicely done and tasty too. The place is connected to a bar so you can grab a beer and eat in the bar. Or they have an outside patio on a small creek that is pleasant too. If you want a burger, I would recommend it. read more

Good food, but only if you like a large serving of 2nd hand smoke with your meal. Apparently the bar allows smoking, and there is no separation between the smoking and non smoking sections of the patio. It's enough to keep us from coming back. read more

My son and I would stop in often for ice cream after picking him up from school and today we decided to stop in for lunch. That will be the last time we will be stopping by. In the past I usually received good service ,but this time the person behind the counter was rude. While ordering he seemed annoyed by the questions I had, just the normal questions like " Does any side come with that?" When my order came I saw that the fries that I ordered were not with it. i spoke with the lady , who was pleasant, that I ordered fries and the guy chimed in with a "No you didn't" with a tone like I was trying to get a freebie. Maybe if he would have given me his full attention while ordering instead of acting annoyed that we stopped into have lunch he would have heard my full order. There was no "thank you " from this guy has we left.Just stood at the counter ignoring us once again. I just thought that was what a business says when they appreciate you stopping in and supporting them. Apparently this place dose not. read more
