Great food and friendly people running the place. The birria is a personal favorite of mine.

Best oysters I've had in a long time, sweet and briny and extraordinary. For happy hour, oysters are $2 at the bar. And there are wine and cocktail specials too. This was a little, cozy place with delicious food and really great service. What more could you ask for?

Occasionally a celebrity walks through this town and restaurants do cater to a higher end clientele so that tricks some people into thinking this town has a restaurant scene (including the higher end clientele) True foodies and individuals that enjoy high-end dining don't go to Millbrook and Canoe Hill definitely won't change that. It's a run of the mill restaurant with average service that has a "curated menu" with "locally sourced ingredients" and a "specially selected wine menu" it also has the usual uninspired modern farmhouse aesthetic and of course a Chef that gets great reviews and accolades from local magazines ....that just coincidentally he advertises in. I won't waste my time or your time getting into the meal I had here cause it was so unimpressively dull and flavorless. But to sum it up -- Don't waste your time, money or night out.

Charlotte's Restaurant & Catering is a modern American restaurant and catering company that opened…read morein Millbrook, New York in 2006. It was founded by husband and wife Mikael and Alicia Moller. Mikael started out as a restaurant apprentice in Sweden when he was just 13. He immigrated to New York City in 1981 and worked at several high-profile restaurants. Mikael met Charlotte when he began working as a chef for Charlotte's Catering where she was also working. After marrying in 1989, they bought the catering business. After a trip to Millbrook, they fell in love with the area and wanted to open a restaurant in town. They purchased the building that housed Allyn's Restaurant in 2006 and renamed it "Charlotte's Restaurant". The location was built in the 19th century as a church before being converted into a theater and finally a restaurant space. My wife and I recently dined at Charlotte's while we were visiting Millbrook. We were celebrating our sixth anniversary with a stay at Wing's Castle nearby. Charlotte's came highly recommended. We really liked all of the Autumn decor adorning the dining room. We started things off with some Autumn-inspired cocktails: I had the "Apple Pie Martini" while my wife had the "Warm Cider with Spiced Rum". They both really hit the spot. For entrees, I had the "Cornish Game Hen (with quinoa, butternut squash, pickled sweet peppers and rosemary sauce) while my wife had the "Creamy Lobster Mac & Cheese" (Maine lobster, bacon bits, herbed bread crumb with mixed greens and citrus vinaigrette). We both really enjoyed our food! After the dessert menu came around, we decided to share a delicious "Apple Galette" (local Granny Smith apple, sweet pastry crust, vanilla ice cream). It was a perfect way to end an excellent meal. We really enjoyed our experience at Charlotte's and highly recommend them for anyone visiting Millbrook!

We…read morethought we could snag a table for the evening at this queue-worthy spot the same day we'd noticed it earlier in the day but timing wasn't on our side. We tried for a next time. The bar is open for walk-ins, greeting from the host/owner(?) was pleasant from the get-go and our server, was also on point the entire evening. For those who believe that sharing is caring when eating out, this might be for you! However, Mirador is one of those places where you look behind the menu and expect more options. This loosely inspired Andalucian spot offers selections way smaller than a typical tapa- but, in so saying, it's much loved for the vibe and menu. Although Mirador has accepted the Andalucian way, the food culture hasn't made its way to the menu and missed the mark on some heavy-duty Spaniard ingredients such as garbanzos, GARLIC, shrimp, etc. And while we're having that conversation, our "sangria" wasn't what we expected and made with tequila ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. We could barely taste the 4 tiny slivers of fluke crudo underneath a big citrusy and icy/foamy cloud topping and the same with the Chanterelles in our croquettes. If you want your customers to leave fast, then serve smaller-than-typical-tapas. The biggest tapa for us was a thinly sliced fennel+green salad in a refreshing dressing. If you want to sop up some bread in shrimp+ garlicky oil- none of the classic tapas are here. On the flip side, you come to Mirador because they do a terrific job of bringing people together over super lite and inventive bites and sips.
