We got the best from Dedee and Immanuel at Millers Ocala. As soon as we walked in, Immanuel greeted us like we've never been greeted entering a restaurant before, even Ruth's Chris. He complemented my crystals and told me about his at home. Then we were greeted by Deedee who was slammed with tables. As a chef, I admire how she followed the order taking process, firing and delivering our drinks and appetizers prior to taking our main entree order. Everything came out hot. So I've eaten here many times before but the service this last time takes the cake. Not only was I at the same table with 3 others, our entire group was served except me. My order was taken with the other and every was served.... Except me then I was charged for what I didn't receive. No excuse for this behavior. I'll not be going back. We had lunch here the other day and the service was very good. The food was good as well, but seems a tad bit on the smaller portion side for the price you pay. The booths are a wee bit cramped as well. But all in all we had a good lunch with very good service. I had the grilled chicken Asian salad as did my wife. Her girlfriend had a cheeseburger with fries and we agreed the food was good. This is a lively place with plenty of tv screens for the sports enthusiasts. Plenty of parking as well. Been going for years and now they have a sign on the hostess station that states that they have Florida beers. Asked our server about the Fl beers and she had no clue. She pointed out the beers on the menu and recommended the specials which was fine but we were interested in Fl beers. The sign stated certain companies. I just vacationed in London, my fourth trip there. Fish and chips are one of my very favorite foods. This entree according to the description was beer battered crispy white fish. The batter was wet and mushy, just disgusting! I have never had a meal like this, and will never go back there again. The chef needs to learn how to prepare fish and chips, because this is certainly not English pub fish and chips. If you want excellent fish and chips go to Culvers in The Villages. Waitress was very nice, we ordered full slab of baby back ribs, rather small rack of ribs, not much meat on them, very very very salty, a little over cooked. Will not order those again. If want good ribs go to Cheddars or Longhorns. read more

Time for my early morning toilet rant. I finally tried millers ale house. WOW! I travel all over the country for work and try to dine in the most well known places just to see if they are worth their reviews. This place is definitely not. 1 hour for a to go order at 7:40 on a saturday night. Ok. Sure. Everything ha 0 flavor. jambalaya was previously frozen and old. (please dont deny it or I'm gonna have to get Gordon Ramsay involved) asked for 3 well done burgers 2 que 1 whichever one has the pork on it that tastes like it came from the tub of premade bbq at the grocery store (so obviously frozen and days old.) All 3 had under cooked onion rings on them that you could also tell were old and refrigerated from the previous day. The outside was burnt and charred (1/8th of the burger) and the inside was almost as raw as the onion rings. and the french fries were mushy and undercooked which also says they were frozen as well. This place is probably the worst most flavorless food I have ever eaten in my life. I cannot believe I paid $65 for that. Extremely dissatisfied. I do not recommend it. Met with a long time friend for lunch. We were greeted by about 3 people at once when we walked through the door. We requested a booth. Booth was a tight fit. I can imagine anyone larger than average would have a hard time fitting in the booth as it does not give a lot of space between the back of the seat and the table. After about 5 mins our drink order was taken. The inside has plenty of seating, a U shaped bar, and loads of TVs. After receiving our drinks we placed our food order. First of all we have always been a fan of Millers ale house thus at least 3 stars. Chalking it up to just the restaurant having a off day. Ordered zingers for a appetizer with garlic Parmesan for dipping sauce. What we received was zingers covered in sauce not on the side. Zingers became extremely soggy quickly. Entree for me were the baby back ribs, tender but dry not much sauce. Wife had tenderloin steak with pot stickers which were left off the plate and we had to ask the waitress "what happened to the pot stickers. Waitress retrieved but they were Luke warm at best. The service was ok. My Fish & Chips were awful! The used a cheap tasteless white fish instead of Cod. My husband had their BBQ ribs, they were very tender but tasteless, not enough bbq sauce. Food is decent, prices are good. My husband and I live close so we frequent the Ocala location, usually we have nothing to complain about. Wait staff is usually good and friendly, quick and reliable but today was a little different, I don't write reviews on establishments a lot - especially if I frequent the location. However, today was a little off. I believe our servers name was Casey, she seemed new and awkward. Which is understandable but what annoyed me was she had someone else bring our food and didn't return back to our table to offer refills of our clearly empty glasses. I ended up sharing my drink with my husband because his was empty for the better portion of his meal. Eventually she brought another refill for him but that was the only time we had seen her from the moment we ordered until the moment we paid. Here's the kicker, when I was settling the check at the table she stood at our table and waited for me to pull out money, quietly staring at me, it felt like she was making sure we didn't dine and dash or something. I don't know, it was really awkward. It wasn't until I looked up at her with a weird look like "go away" did she finally leave. Right before we walked out I asked her for her name as she was standing at the table next To ours and she said her name and then leaned over and loudly said "what was the service bad?" Last week, as I was driving to Orlando, I stopped in Ocala to see some relatives. We were running late for an event, so we needed a drink and some quick grub. The obvious choice was wings, beer and something called a Zinger. Basically a half to a third of a chicken breast breaded and served with a sauce. So, reviewing these menu items isn't going to take much time and effort. Wings were moist and the sauces and rubs (spicy garlic-hot and garlic) were enjoyable, good quality chicken, each wing was a good size. The beer was served very quickly and considering we golfed 18 in the hot sun earlier, felt like the best beer I ever had. It apparently was Icehouse, so I may have suffered a touch of heat stroke. The highlight, other than my wonderful company, was our server. I didn't get his name, but he was on point. He must have heard me and my cousin debating wing sauces, because when he served us, he brought 2 ramekins of other sauces I was interested in tasting. I was very impressed by this, as he was slammed with tables and was hustling drinks and plates to and fro. The restaurant was PACKED, from bar to all of the tables with many different customers. Young couples, good 'ole boys, older folks, etc. It's my guess there are not many of these pub/restaurants around because it was a Tuesday night and again, they were quite busy.
