Man, this place is loud. It was so noisy inside that it was hard to even hear the people at our table. You'll also want to get here early because this place fills up fast and the wait can get pretty long. The food was good, but it wasn't anything I'd scream and shout about. It's really more of a laid back, social restaurant where people are hanging out and having a good time. I'd come back if I was with a group, but I'd probably avoid the busiest times.

View out the back towards the sound.

Another terrific meal at Miller's Waterfront Restaurant. Food was excellent even the hush puppies were done right. Will say portions could have been bigger. Our waitress was polite, friendly and handled things in a a timely fashion. Atmosphere is pleasant but not exciting. The views are terrific being right on the water. The lemon mascarpone cake is amazing. We have been to this restaurant many times and have not been disappointed. Definitely recommend

Absolutely loved this place. Extremely family friendly and service was great. Came here on Easter Sunday for an early lunch and we were seated right away. Food came out really quick, perfect when you have inpatient kids. My husband and I both ordered the combo fried basket and got the coconut shrimp, flounder, regular shrimp, and fried oysters. The seafood here is insanely good and was so fresh. We also shared calamari and spinach dip which was also a 10/10! Our server was great- made sure our waters were always filled, food was good, and gave us extra napkins without us asking! Would definitely recommend this to anyone coming to visit the area! Also helps there's a beautiful view of the water.

The view is the best, we sat upstairs for lunch. The green beans were crisp and fresh from the first bite to the last. The lobster roll could have had a little more seasoning. I didn't try the soft shell crab but was told it was good. Service overall was good.

The windows were closed today-like big garage doors, with a beautiful view while the wind howled out there!

We liked our salads so much yesterday that after an incredibly windy beach hike we fed out appetites in the rooftop bar, which was sealed tightly against that crazy wind, but still offered a beautiful view of the kite surfers taking full advantage of the weather. The menu was similar to downstairs but more lunch appropriate, and still had specials and a lot of great choices. We had the tuna tacos and tuna in pesto in ciabatta with waffle fries (perfectly prepared, I might add-not greasy, overly salty or skimpy in portion-just perfect!). Wow! How could 2 meals in a row be so delicious? I'd eat here every day if I could! The service was quick and super friendly, down to the last person we spoke with. What a great vibe. Way to go, Miller's!

Great location on the OBX for a sunset dinner. While we ate in the main restaurant, with so many great views, there is also a bar area with outside seating---when the weather is a bit nicer than it was for us, would have to be one of the best places to grab a cold beverage and enjoy a sunset. Tried their "world famous" hush puppies and they certainly were up there with some of the best we've had here. Also tried their she crab soup and you could tell this was legit homemade---large chunks of crab and a healthy serving. Absolutely NOT soup from a can!

Fresh and tasty. We stopped in at sunset and was told it would be a 45 minute wait, but we actually only waited 10. Sweet! We had an amazing sunset view over the water. I had the brussel sprouts and the blacked mahi-mahi gnocchi, goodness I licked the plates clean. We were taken care of by missy and she knew her stuff. I can't wait to get back.

Absolutely incredible dining experience! The service was fantastic, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the food was outstanding. The fish of the day was the highlight--perfectly cooked, incredibly fresh, and full of flavor. Easily one of the best seafood dishes I've had. Highly recommend and can't wait to return!

I will say that the she crab soup might be the best soup I have ever had. Thick creamy meaty and flavorful. The fish sandwich was ok. Too much onion, not enough fish. Heard the calamari was good as were the brussel sprouts. Extremely busy and crowded. Be prepared to wait. Mixed reviews on the orange crush. I thought not as good as other places, some people thought it was better. Not sure where to go on that one. The waitstaff was very attentive even with a packed house

I think if I wasn't a single taking a Four top so that I could enjoy the breeze coming off of the Harbor and taking pictures I might have been treated better I was pretty much ignored after my food was delivered until I had one scallop left that being said the food was fantastic the scallop appetizer was amazing loved the accompanying sauce and seaweed salad. The onion rings are definitely homemade. And as a single I usually eat appetizers so that I can taste more of one thing unfortunately my beer sat at the bar for about 10 minutes before it was delivered to me so it was yucky but anyway just the way it is. The place was definitely packed No Doubt but I really felt ignored by my server.

Went to the other Millers because it said Dogs allowed- no they are not. This one on the waterfront does allow them on the back porch. We put our name on the wait list and walked around back. We were told we could get drinks out there but the outside bar wasn't open. My husband went in and got drinks- I got a mint coconut mock mojito- it wasn't good- tasted only like coconut mix - it dis have 2 mint leaves thrown on top (not even crushed) We were seated at the top of the ramp (traffic of people was busy and sunny) Our server was very nice and cheerful. I ordered the salad with rare tuna and raspberry vinaigrette dressing. It was very good. My husband got the fried shrimp with cocktail sauce (she kept forgetting to bring the cocktail sauce) third time by she remembered (by then he was almost done with hi sides) Place has a great view.

I went in to get the reservation (expecting a long wait due to the crowd) she told me it was an hour and a half. We were totally fine with that, they have a great area to wait in the rear with corn hole, chairs, and a bar. But she made sure to tell me several times about the wait and asked me multiple times if I really wanted to wait that long. It felt like I was being pushed into not dining there. The wait ended up being a little over an hour. We got seated outside and it was beautiful and not too hot. Now let's get to the food. Our group ordered the buffalo shrimp as an appetizer and it was phenomenal!! We got the crab cake dinner, crab cakes sandwiches, and fish and chips for the entrees. They were all delicious as well. Our waitress was super nice to us and made sure we had a great time. So to end it, the food, waitress, and building/grounds was excellent and highly recommend (5/5 stars). The angry hostess that seemed like she didn't want anyone dining there because the wait time somehow bothered her, would not recommend (0/5 stars).

We showed up around 3:00 on a rainy Thursday and were seated immediately, which was much appreciated. We did end up in what was probably the least comfortable booth in the restaurant. I'm sure you guys know the one... It was a tight squeeze for my husband, my daughter, and me, but I'd still take that over waiting in the rain. My husband's crab legs were exactly what he was hoping for, and my crab cake sandwich was delicious. The surprise star of the meal, though, was my daughter's grilled cheese. We somehow ended up on an unofficial "grilled cheese tour" of the Outer Banks, and Tortugas' Lie set the bar at about a 15/10. Every grilled cheese we had after that was chasing first place. The only real tragedy of the visit? My husband accidentally left the bottle of their hot sauce at our Airbnb. Now I'm weighing the cost of ordering another bottle online against the cost of replacing my husband. Jury's still out. If you've never been, put it on your OBX list. We decided that we would finally try it out with a friend who was visiting for his birthday. The food was not only amazing, the menu was transparent, the customer service was top notch, and the view speaks for itself! We ordered Tuna Tartare (very local tuna), calamari, shrimp burger sliders (so glad the shrimp location not being OBX didn't scare us away), house salad, tuna steak dinner, and the chef Mac burger. No one at our table had a single complaint- not even the 7-year-old who ate half the burger and bites of everyone else's food. Further, there was a hiccup, and the restaurant more than made it up by comping desserts that we otherwise would have never ordered (we're just not dessert people). I woke up...and had a delicious time! The reviews here tell you how great this place is, and well...believe them! I thought for sure it would be over-hyped and not live up to what people write and say, but I will admit to being wrong. First, our server, Krickett, was agreed upon (by my partner and I) to be the best server we have ever had. She was friendly, outgoing, had good recommendations, and an all-around joy. Second, the food! Wow! My partner had a salad...simple enough, right? But no, she was amazed by it. And she is a vegetarian, so she has had a lot of salads over the years. This one blew her away. I had the grilled chicken sandwich. Was it life-changing? No. But it was way better than what a grilled chicken sandwich normally is. It was tender, juicy, with just the right seasoning. I would be a criminal if I didn't mention the bruschetta...get it with the burrata...it is worth it! The crispy bread with balsamic drizzle is good enough with the diced tomato mix, but the cheese gives it a new level. And, I hope you saved room for dessert, because the key lime pie was a mouth explosion.

The restaurant has two distinct dining areas: the front section is first-come first-served bar seating that offers the full menu. The back section, which would be ideal for families, holds about 30 tables, mostly booths, with the hostess stand. We chose to sit at the bar and had a great experience. We started with bruschetta topped with burrata cheese. I ordered the angel hair pasta in a white garlic butter, cream sauce with marinated chicken and grilled vegetables. My husband ordered the special hamburger with Swiss cheese bacon, spinach and mayo with a side of fries. We ended with slices of the key lime pie that didn't disappoint! The food, service, staff and environment were exceptional! We overheard the Server mention that veterans receive complementary meals on Veterans Day, which speaks volumes about how this restaurant supports those who have served.
