My great aunt took me out to l breakfast and I was very impressed. This place is like a Cocoa's but with more quality food and a bigger menu. I ordered the cinnamon roll with bacon and eggs and boy was it delicious. Our waitress was nice, and attentive. Cool mom pop atmosphere diner vibes. The prices are very economical. Great place for family and friends to dine.

The service was great. This place had the old American diner feel to it. The food was just alright, everything lacked seasoning, unfortunately.

Came out on a Sunday at 9am. This is a big restaurant, classic Americana vibe, lots of wood paneling. It's near the front of a strip mall so there was plenty of parking. We walked in and the first thing I saw was a glass case with pies (say less). We had 7 of us in total but that early on a Sunday we were seated without wait. We had a nice comfy booth in their side area. There were plenty of booth and tables walking in. The menu is EXTENSIVE. Something for everyone even a kids menu and senior menu. It was hard to make a decision, I almost went with the blintzes but my go to for a first try is usually waffles. We all had coffee and ordered. Staff was very pleasant and we ordered and waited. It wasn't too long of a wait and the our food arrived. They were very good portions and everyone was very happy with their order. I got the waffle combo. My husband got the Millie's plate. Kiddos got pancakes and French toast sticks. Everything had good flavor, if I was in the area again I'd love to stop by to try something else.

We've been to Millie's a few times, and it never disappoints! This time I got the What a Waffle combo, and my boyfriend ordered the 1/2 salad with ranch and a 1/2 BLT. The food was delicious, it has that cozy, homey flavor that makes you feel like you're eating breakfast at your grandma's house. The waffle was fluffy, buttery, and huge (I could only finish half!), and even the salad was a generous portion for being a half order. Service was great, everyone was friendly and welcoming. We were seated quickly even though it was a busy Sunday morning, and our food came out fast and hot. I also love that they walk around offering refills on coffee, such a nice touch! The diner itself has that old-school, warm, and cozy vibe, and I love that they also have a bakery where you can grab pies, cookies, or cinnamon rolls to go. There's even a cute little corner with Disney-themed trinkets and gifts, which adds to the charm. Prices are fair, especially with how generous the portions are. Definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to and recommending to friends!

I placed a phone order for Mac & Cheese as my daughter suddenly had a craving. I arrived two-minutes later as I happened to be in the area and my order was good to go, wow!! What service. While I was waiting to pay for my order, I looked down and it was at that moment that I knew they had me. The register to pay is surrounded my pies muffins so I ended up paying for my daughter's Mac & Cheese and i picked up a small banana cream pie as well as a banana nut bran muffin for myself. Both desserts were just ok. Employees here are very friendly and ready to serve. Thank you for the GREAT service! My family and I will definitely be back for breakfast very soon

I live in Marina Del Rey but decided to go to the LA Fair this year so on my way to Pomona I decided to stop in Covina for breakfast. I had already been to most of the others in the area so decided to go with Millie's as I had never been there before. I would classify it as a country diner versus a retro diner. The menu has all sorts of American comfort food classics on it, and few elevated breakfast dishes. Inside is quite large with many different seating options including booths, tables, and counter. Our server was very polite and he mentioned that he was just about to have his seven year anniversary so it's nice to see that this restaurant has a lot of regulars. Service is also really fast, our food came out shortly after ordering it. Parking is also very easy because there is a large free parking lot attached right out front. The food itself was just OK, definitely not bad, but definitely not as good as some breakfast spots here in Santa Monica or MDR. For my meal I chose the California Avocado Omelette and thought it was pretty good, but felt the protein amount was minimal. It's not quite as hardy nor do they have as large portions as some other places close by but I still enjoyed it. I think the pricing was fair and I would stop in again if I'm in the area, although I have had better breakfasts in the Eastern Los Angeles area.

California omelette: I highly recommend, it was so good!

This place is always busy so we usually don't have time to dine here. We went on a Monday and it wasn't too busy, steady customers but the service was quick and our coffee was never empty! The food was delicious and so glad we decided to eat here. The restaurant was also very clean.

Millies is a home away from home. The staff treat you so warmly and the food always tastes like it was made with love, because it is! The ambiance is cozy diner style!

What a pleasant surprise to our day. I was expecting this place to be like Dennys, but it felt down home. When we pulled up my wife said surely these cars can't all be for the restaurant, but they were. The place was pretty well packed at 10 AM on a Thursday. Personally, I loved the interior decor. It was Christmas decor and a slice of Americana. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We both enjoyed our meals. Portions were good. The biscuit and gravy were better than average. Bacon was a bit undercooked for my preference. My wife loved the machaca. The home fries were quite good as were the refried beans.

Cornbread with corn! Butter was creamy.

It's been a long time since we come to Millie's, we almost forgot it exists. The place is so dated but it's kinda comforting too... like home. The table where we sat was the brightest spot with good lighting which I appreciate. Server was good. Food was great. I have the meatloaf. Flavorful. My husband has the fried chicken... that's A LOT of fried chicken. A bit too dry on the chicken thigh. Cornbread was warm and delicious. Nice to have actual corn in the cornbread. Perfect timing that tonight was also the Christmas parade, so after dinner we walked a few blocks to watch the parade. It would be nice if corporate or the owner gave funding to update the place. Everything was beyond worn.

Is breakfast served through out the day?

Yes, I had waffles at 10:30 at night. It was delicious. Their omelets were great as well, that's what my parents shared.

For appetizers, we ordered (1) house salad (which is just iceberg lettuce with dressing). It also comes with red cabbage salad. The red cabbage salad was very good. (2) clam chowder soup. The soup was good. It has a lot of clams and potatoes. For main entree, we ordered (1) petite steak and shrimp. This is a 5-oz top sirloin steak with 3 grilled shrimp. It was delicious. (2) petite filet mignon. It was very good but the portion was very small. All entrees come with a choice of side. We chose baked potatoes. It was a huge potato and it comes with butter, sour cream and chives. Delicious. For dessert, we had key lime pie tart and chocolate mousse cake. The chocolate mousse cake was very good but I did not cared for the key lime pie tart. The key lime pie tart was mostly whipped cream. Our meal also comes with cheese bread. The bread has a good taste but it is soggy because they wrap it in aluminum foil after toasting it. I would have liked it better if the bread was not soggy! Overall we enjoyed our meal. Friendly staff and nice ambiance.

I'm not sure if I would be back again just because they seem so short staffed and they don't seem like they communicate very well with each other. But I did enjoy the overall experience.

The service was extremely slow to start--we waited a while just for water and to get drink orders taken. We ordered the Ahi tuna appetizer, which was good, but the course pacing completely fell apart after that. Our salads took 25 minutes to arrive. Before I could even get the fresh ground pepper I requested, our main courses were rushed to the table while we hadn't even started our salads. The food quality was unacceptable for an upscale restaurant: Both my wife and I ordered our steaks medium-rare. Mine arrived completely leathery, dry as a bone, and thoroughly overcooked. I didn't eat a single bite of it. My wife's steak arrived medium-well, and her side of rice was completely dry. The bottle of red wine we ordered from their very small wine list was served warm. When we declined having the steak re-fired or free dessert, we finished our wine and asked for the check. The $62 inedible steak was still on the bill, so I asked to speak with the owner. When I calmly explained the issues, the owner became angry that I didn't want the steak redone and walked away mid-conversation. He eventually came back, removed the $62 steak, and told us he didn't want us back in his restaurant. To top it off, for an establishment charging fine-dining prices where guests dress up, the owner was wearing shorts and sneakers. One chance is all a restaurant gets to make a good impression. Lincoln House missed the mark completely. We will not be returning.
