Please wear gloves when you are plating salads and other foods. I sat and watched the person put a handful of salad into a bowl brought to our table and expected us to eat that NOPE. They have gloves for a reason so use them! I know this is a bar but come on, do better! The pizza is cheap and not great. Something about the crust is off.. .sour tasting and hard when it cools. We went to Parky's yesterday and tried the Margherita pizza. Wow! It was fantastic! The dough is unbelievable. It was chewy and so tasty. The toppings seem really fresh. The time before, my pizza was a little crispy for my liking, but this one was so good. I'm not sure if they changed the recipe or if it was just made differently, but It was a great pizza. It's a dive bar. No it's not. Well yes it is, kind of. No really it's just a really local joint to meet friends. I typically do not talk "food" as I am very much NOT a foodie but damn they have great pizzas and maybe even better salads. They both kick ass. When you walk in your first impression might suggest that you turn around and leave, but if you do you are going to miss out. The design is almost oxymoronic in that it "smells" like a dive but "looks" like something more...so it ain't no "Duck" if you're following my cliche' reference. In the main room check out the really nice wood slab lighting fixtures that are not dive-esk. Then give yourself a treat and wander out back to the back patio and courtyard with its pool tables, fire pit, more seating and an overall cool vibe. Love hitting up Parky's for some grub and beer! They make yummy homemade salad dressings and the pizza is great as well. The smaller sized pizza is perfect for one with leftovers for the next day. With so few food options in DomeTop and Tacoma itself it's hard on its own to find a place to eat let alone finding a place that is actually good. Parky's is no exception. We have order pizza here three times and each time it's been WTF?!?!? The quality and actual toppings you get is very random. Either the pizza is missing a topping or over abundance of one. Often the pizzas are burnt or have a smoky burnt pizza oven taste. The worst part is the pizzas are so salty! My wife and I have been to Parky's for drinks. The place is very cozy and the staff friendly. Being a good bar I'm giving this review 2-Stars. Otherwise it would be 2-Stars. read more

This is the third time Ive tried this place and I throughly wanted to give them as many stars as I could due to the super friendly service. However, where this *friendly pizza joint falls short is the food. Something is just missing... missing in taste... missing in quality of ingredients... and missing in presentation. That's not say its bad, its totally tasty if your nearby or stop in for a drink and want to grab a cheap pizza. One thing that I would change here is the ingredients. The meats are "meh", the veggies are standard, and the dough is "alright." I think that the Tipsy Tomato in Tacoma's Oakland area is a way better tasting pie in nearly every category. read more

I really liked the sandwiches here and the beer options were decent. The panini I ordered I really enjoyed. We sat in the back patio which also I have no complaints about. The unfortunate situation here was that after we placed our order the wait was awfully long. The waitress then came out and either our order got forgotten or lost from our understanding. After that things moved along more smoothly. Not sure if that was a fluke or usual there since it was our first time there. read more

Then we decided to try the buffalo chicken sandwich and we got it twice and it was nothing less than amazing! We were excited recently to get a buffalo chicken sandwich again--but it wasn't like before?, the bread was hard the sauce was way too spicy and there was a ton of onions on it. It just wasn't the same formulation as the saucy, delicious, and succulent sandwich we had before that was not drowning in strong smelling onions! Managed to find the place in working hours, after 4...NOT as advertised. Staff was friendly and attentive. Drinks were tasty, but weak. We had 2 sandwiches, both underwhelming. The turkey bacon pesto, taste fishy, I think the (presumably) Prego pesto had turned. The French dip, like the turkey bacon pesto, only had a single slice of meat. Sandwiches accompanied by kettle chips. The au jus was good, however. We also ordered a pizza. The Polynesian. The pizza was beet good! Crispy, thin crust & flavorful. While we were there, we overheard the staff telling other patrons that they were going to be closed over the Labor Day weekend as they were going camping. You'd think for a new restaurant trying to gain popularity and change the image from the prior owner, they'd make sure their correct hours were posted on social media and stick with them. My boyfriend and I just made our first visit after hearing good things from the barista at neighboring coffee joint, Lux. We split their take on a Hawaiian pie (made with American bacon instead of Canadian) and we ate every bite. 3 extremely hungry people could probably put away 2 pies--good news since it can be hard to narrow down to just one choice--but 1 pie was the exact right amount for us tonight. Wow! So we decided to go next door to the stop and were complaining about it, customer there said they were closed to go camping with their employees! They don't have any employees that couldn't go.
