Gem of a place. Pizza by the slice. Friendly staff. Tons on drafts plus mixed drinks. Wow. This is a winner. Great vibe too. Big tables inside and outside. Only one tv with random movies on. Not a sports bar.

Found out about this place through a friend and it's one of the best pizza spots to eat downtown Tacoma. Great service and the pizza came out pretty fast and hot. They serve thin crust style pizza so it doesn't feel too over powering and the flavors still shine. Portion and pricing is good for the quality pizza. A very nice place to dine and relax and enjoy some pizza. Highly recommend.

The beer is good, the service is fast, and the pizza (especially the full ones) is very good. I've been a couple times - slices as well. I come every time I'm in Tacoma because it's close to the HGI I stay at!

There's not a lot of vegan cheese options in Tacoma when it comes to pizza. Camp Colvos not only had the option but they came through with a good pizza, good drinks, and a cozy atmosphere. With all that being said, service was pretty fair.

We went mainly for the pizza initially, but I think the cocktails ended up being our favorite! As a New Yorker, I will say I see what they are trying to do with the pizza. It was a bit too thin and overcooked. The slice had no flop at the tip and was basically like eating a cracker. The sauce to bread ratio was off as I couldn't even taste the sauce. It was a cool place to eat, I just think the pizza could be better. Didn't go for the beer ‍

Likely the best pizza on the West Coast and this is coming from an East-coast jersey girl! The pizza is perfectly cooked large slices of cheesy goodness. Whenever someone asked to get pizza this is the only option I like to suggest! The restaurant serves a few different choices of pizzas, beers and other tasty drinks. There's tons of seating both indoor and outdoor. Outdoor seating even has cute little fireplaces. It's great for a small group or a large work gathering. The staff is super Friend friendly service is super quick. You place your order at the counter when you walk in and then the staff will deliver it to your table once it's ready. The pizza definitely feeds a crowd. Bottom line... There is no other place that you should be eating pizza from if it's not here. You will be doing yourself a disservice!! The kids love it, the parents love it... there's beer no reason not to go!

In the words of my nephew "This is the biggest, bestest pizza ever"! Camp Colvos is my go to pizza spot for guest, because they never miss. Classic New York style Pepperoni!! The pizza is huge and feeds 3-4 people comfortably! They do stay busy, so order ahead of time!

    Too much oil!

I truly love the vibe at CAMP COLVOS! What happened? There's too much oil. It's either the quality of the cheese or the pepperoni. On the good side---huge slices!

Pizza was excellent, as was the service. Good for meeting up with a small group on the patio, inside seating leaves a little to be desired.

Fruit flies in pizza dough. Expired Sauces. And poor management. Do not eat here unless you want to get sick. Lame establishment.

Ask the Community - Camp Colvos Brewing - Tacoma

Is their Too Good To Go worth a trip to downtown at night?

The rating is currently 4.7 out of 5-so it must not be too bad. I would imagine what you get would vary. Could be vegan, could be salad. All depends on what you consider worth it.

What size would you estimate is your pizza? I am trying to find a general diameter. Thanks

Gosh, I have no idea. You could probably give them a ring. I was just there yesterday. One slice is humongous and I saw a full size pizza, but did not order one. It's very big!

    Any gluten free options?

Hey Zachary - For beverages, we have cider, wine, and soda. For snacks, we have tots, and a couple…

    Any vegan pizza options?

I'm pretty sure there is! :)

    Is outdoor seating pet friendly?

    Yes it is!

    Is there AC?

Thanks for reaching out Lauri. Sadly, we do not have AC.

I'm kinda surprised that I never made it in before the baby shower, because this spot is pretty close to home. Parking is easy with several lots around the area and also street parking out front of the brewery (if you're lucky enough to snag one). This place is huge! Super open concept and I can definitely see how they manage to host events here on a regular basis. Also love the vibe here and the string lights, it just makes everything feel cozy. They have lots of board games, corn hole, and a steel tip dart board for people to enjoy. They're also kid-friendly which is nice to note for future visits (sorry if you're one of those people who doesn't like kids at breweries, we're still rollin' up). Service was great while we were here as well. Their beer selections are solid and I enjoyed their hazy. They also have a cider or two on tap as well as a seltzer, if I'm remembering correctly. They have a good selection of canned wines as well. Overall this is a solid brewery and with it being close to home, I'm sure we'll be back a few times this summer!

I've had beers here a couple of times and I must say I liked the second time better. I liked the Oktoberfest beer that I had compared to some of the lagers offered here. I got the Caprese Macaroni and Cheese which was out of this world. So good! The sweet pies are quite good as well as I had a Key Lime slice of pie and Steve had a stout pie. Both pies were awesome! We came on a Sunday right at opening, after what was one of their busiest weekends. I was slightly disappointed to be honest because they were out of basically everything. The crust was great and they had an awesome flavor. I was disappointed to find out that the pies are not actually made by them on site, but I guess bought and shipped in. We wanted to try cider, but alas the prior group from the night before unfortunately drank everything they had. Overall we had a good experience but it wasn't exactly what I was hoping for. I am looking forward to going back again to try some cider and their chicken pie! I will re-review them then!
