We are so happy. Thank you, guys! Of course, this was the end of a process that started six weeks before, when we first met with Lake Washington Windows and Doors. It's been a solid relationship. They communicate well, deliver quality products, and send guys like Andy & Fatu to install them. In our case, they were even able to finish the project well before the originally estimated date. Had a great experience with the salesperson that came to our house and we wound up choosing Milgard products because of him and we were confident that they would perform high quality of work as well. Shockingly, their quote came in significantly higher than anyone else, including Renewal by Anderson! They provided other options, but the best they could do was still double what the equally highly rated company we are moving forward with charged for 100% identical Milgard products. I understand the company disagrees with my review, but I was disappointed by the tone of their response and the implied pressure to remove it. Being told they would publicly respond and report the review to Yelp and Google if I didn't remove it felt unnecessarily aggressive and intimidating. Also in response to their comments below Thank you for confirming the exact root of the problem: you looked at a three-pane window, saw that only the middle section was currently foggy, and assumed I only wanted that single section replaced. As a professional window company, it was your responsibility to clearly state: "We see only the middle pane is failing, so this quote is strictly for one pane of glass, not the entire window unit you asked for." You didn't do that. You just wrote "1 glass replacement" on a quote for a "window replacement" request and expected a regular homeowner to know the technical difference. The fact remains: I asked for a window replacement. I provided a photo of the entire window. Other companies looked at the exact same information and managed to quote the entire three-pane unit for a price comparable to what you charged me for just the middle section. You can keep calling a customer's genuine financial frustration "deceptive" to protect your online rating, but your own responses show a complete lack of accountability. You made an assumption, failed to communicate it clearly upfront, and I had to pay the premium for it. Prospective clients can read this back-and-forth and decide for themselves if they want to risk dealing with a company that hides behind ambiguous quote terminology instead of practicing transparent communication. I am done repeating myself. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I recently had a foggy/failing window repaired that consisted of 3 separate sections. Unfortunately, due to some miscommunication during the quoting process, only the middle section was replaced. That was really frustrating because it made the overall cost much higher compared to other companies I had received quotes from. To their credit, they did offer to replace the remaining sections at a discount after I brought up the issue. However, even with the discount, the final price still ends up being significantly more expensive than competitors. Had everything been communicated more clearly upfront, I likely would have chosen a different company. The biggest issue for me was the lack of clarity during the quoting process. It felt misleading to realize afterward that the quote only covered one section instead of the full window I thought we had discussed. That said, I do want to give credit to the installation crew because they were excellent. They were respectful, worked quickly, kept everything clean, and did quality work. My frustration is mainly with the communication and quoting side of the experience, not the installers themselves.

My house had original 30 year-old Milgard window's and I prioritize quality over price. Oleg was able to get out to me right away, he sent me a quote and we initiated the order. When the windows arrived and weather permitted, his team came out to replace the cheap windows and slider my GC put in and they did a fantastic job. Everyone at Kot's was so great we requested a quote for replacing the rest of the windows in the original structure which were installed last week. The whole team was fantastic to work with from start to finish. I had a lot of quotes, some cheaper but none with the level of integrity and pride in their service that I found at Kot's. They were very honest, respectful and professional throughout all of our interactions, and they were on time and had the glass replaced with in the amount of time that they said it would take. They weren't the cheapest but very competitive. I am not only paying for a price of replacement glass but service as well, they are professional, responsive, honest and knowledgeable, and that's what I'm paying for. After texting to share some photos they said they'd need a window technician to check it out. They showed up exactly when scheduled and texted to let me know when they were nearly here. It turned out to be an easy fix so they took care of it on the spot, free of charge. They even insisted on cleaning up the little plastic bits that came off the window during the repair (even though I told them I could take care of it). Fingers crossed that I won't need to repair or replace any other windows soon, but if I do I'd definitely go back to Seattle Glass and Window.

Like other reviewers say, there is a language barrier while work is happening. While they are at your house, WATCH THEM LIKE A HAWK and video them being unprofessional if you have to. They did the job incorrectly on my roof vents, drip edge and flashing. Customer should be able to trust a contractor.... you can't trust them. PERIOD. The "toss" heavy roof material leaving cracks in drywall and damage to your house, which they will not take responsibility for.
