Just returned from the Milton Tavern and again, excellent food, service and ambiance. On weekends they are offering oysters on the half shell. Being a oyster kind of guy, this does my heart good. Oysters were fresh, not too big, not too small, with a wonderful flavor of the sea in each bite. Followed up with their Wedge Salad with House Bleu cheese and real bacon bits! Tried a Mohijo for the first time, and it's my new cocktail of choice!!! Carol had the Poblano and Corn Soup along with the Tavern's smash burger with tomato jam! I usually am okay with food and service but today not so much. ordered two meals to go while having a drink with a friend. 1. the waitress brought the meals out at the beginning of drinks. For whatever reason had not tried this place until this past weekend. Will definitely be going back. Food was all very good ! Cheese dip, Gyro, onion rings were delicious. My daughter had a chicken dish with a Buerre Blanc sauce, rice and Brussel sprouts that she loved (and she is picky). Atmosphere was casual, roomy and well decorated with a large bar in the middle. We've gone here since they opened and have been proud to support a local business. Never again. One of our guests has to eat gluten-free due to an allergy and the staff was so unaccommodating, it was embarrassing. The manager even got involved and told us it was "too busy" to ask the chef if anything on the menu was or could be gluten free. When asked why nothing is mentioned on the menu, the manager told us "the menu hasn't been updated in 20 years so... sorry!" Get with the times Milton Tavern, educate your staff and at least attempt to serve your guests without poisoning them. So embarrassing. Oh and the best part... the item we were told was gluten-free and then NOT after our friend ate it was still included on the bill. read more

After five visits we are giving up on Miltons for awhile. The food is mediocre tavern food as an overall assessment and is not as good as our first visit. The chicken pot pie was very bland and generic despite the fancy serving dish. We have had grouper, French dip, tuna salad, burgers, and much more in a large family meal. read more

The ambiance's is very one sided at this location. There is absolutely no diversity in the atmosphere and is very difficult to enjoy. From the decorations to the service. Milton is a growing place with people from every corner of the world living and working in this beautiful city this restaurant doesn't show a open heart or mind in the atmosphere. I frequently eat at Milton Tavern. Today we ordered dinner for carry out. I drive to he restaurant picked up our dinner, returned home to find out they had not completed the order. I drive back to the restaurant explain what happened, No supervisor or manager came out to talk to me, the lady at the front ran back to find the rest of my order and said thanks. Au Jus was deep dark and salty. Enjoyed it. The fries and the cole slaw were great. Got the spinach and artichoke dip; good, not great, too creamy and limited spinach and artichoke. Been to this location several times now and it keeps getting better! I love their Sunday brunch and I get their potato hash with the eggs scrambled and topped chipotle hollandaise! Servers are nice as well as managers. Love Austin, Maddie and Rivers. Managers and staff are very quick to get you something you need if anything. You can tell they take pride in what they do and have a fun culture for everyone including kids. Place is decorated with blast of the past tv shows which takes you down memory lane. More than just a run of the mill sports bar, Milton Tavern has some food options that were quite impressive. Initially I thought their prices were high, but after getting our food, I was blown away by the quantity. I ordered the pecan crusted trout. It came with two whole filets - so you are practically getting the whole fish. The taste is wonderful, but the buerre Blanc sauce is very creamy and thick. It came with a corn risotto - also very creamy and thick. I would suggest the chef dial back on the cream a little. The beer menu is great but no prices listed and the waitress wasn't that familiar with the pricing either - something that irks me a bit at restaurants. (If I'm at a super fancy restaurant that don't list prices on anything, then fine. But this isn't that type of establishment.) Kids menu had no prices listed either - but my kids chicken tenders turned out to only be $4.99. Just wish they could update the menu with prices on them! read more

I've tried, again. Why can't the food and service be as amazing as the Windward Tavern? Don't recommend anything with the tortilla chips, they are doused in salt. The pasta was very greasy with virtually no sauce. The bar scene seems busy all the time, good drinks and sports. read more

Milton Tavern is located in the same shopping center as the Publix and Starbucks at Bethany Bend. It offers great patio seating, a nice bar area with tvs, and plenty of other seating options inside. Our service here was great-some of the best service I've had at any restaurant in a while. She knew about the menu options offered and also did a great job checking on us throughout our meal. I would say that the name of the place tells you the style of food that they serve-pub/tavern food. With that said, I came in with that expectation, and I was pretty impressed by the quality of the food. I got the smash burger that had bacon jam and Boursin cheese on it with fries as my side. It was so tasty and cooked the way I requested. I had actually never had a burger with Boursin cheese on it before. Typically, I only eat that off of charcuterie boards, but it tasted fabulous with the other burger toppings. My favorite part of my meal was dessert. For less than $5, I was able to get a nice size slice of Oreo cheesecake that was made in house. I am a sucker for restaurants who make their desserts in house instead of having them shipped in. And let me say, their pastry/dessert chef knows what he/she is doing. That was some of the best cheesecake I have ever had. I made a second visit back Milton Tavern just for the cheesecake! It turns out that they rotate flavor offerings, so I got to try the salted caramel one and it was amazing too! Moral of the story is save room dessert! They also serve Brunch on the weekend if you are looking for a new brunch spot to try. read more

It's larger than you think. Food, service, ambiance are all very good, fast becoming one of my favorite places. A hidden gem, for a neighborhood tavern. Somebody knows how to make a burger, and I haven't been disappointed in anything else. I prefer to sit on the bar side, but there are plenty of booths throughout. read more
