Milt's is insanely delicious!!! Blew us away with great tasting food and a fun outdoor vibe. The Patty Melt ($10) was the star, the Swiss cheese was gooey, the burger patty moist, the mushroom and onions that perfect flavor pop. I'll be dreaming about it! The Gringo Burger ($11) was also crazy tasty, the brisket was soft and tender, the meat and cheese complemented the mix so well. We shared the tater tots ($5), they were perfection - crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. One order was plenty for 2 people. We couldn't help but get their small shakes ($5 each), I got peanut butter malt and my husband coffee malt. Mine was better hehe, but they were both thick, creamy, yummy. The patio is dog friendly and you can see the clouds during sunset. It gets busy, be ready to wait in line and 10+ min for your food but it'll come out fresh and hot. Service was great too. Loved this local spot, 100% recommend!!

My friends and I wanted a quick lunch after a morning of outdoor activities. This was an option and since it seemed like a beloved staple in Moab, we had to try it. It is a little burger spot with a few benches and a parking lot. Bacon cheeseburger (4.5/5): Can't go wrong with a bacon cheeseburger. It was your classic burger with lettuce, onion, pickle, and mustard. However, I was surprised at how much mustard was on it. The patty was tender and bread was fluffy. Pesto cheese fries (4/5): I saw this on the menu and was so intrigued. I've never had something like it so why not order it. It was literally wedge potatoes topped with pesto and melted slices of cheese. Surprisingly, it worked. It felt like I was eating pasta. This was a great lunch spot. It is in an unassuming, quiet area just off the main street of Moab. Food was good and the price was good.

Milt's is a local gem that you can NOT miss on your trip to Moab. We were here less than a week and came here two of the days, we couldn't help but come back after the first time. This place has been around for decades and is the perfect walk up window with a variety of very affordable, quality fast food options. It's clearly a staple among both locals and tourists, with a pet friendly patio with shade and lots of space and plenty of parking. It's a little out of the main part of town but definitely worth meandering over. I got a milkshake ($4 for small, $6 for large) and the pesto cheese fries ($5) with their fry sauce both times and was impressed with the quality for the price. I don't think I've seen a milkshake this cheap anywhere and they have over a dozen flavors you can choose from, up to 2 in any shake with no extra charge. As much as I loved this place, I will say that they were a bit slow with getting the food out and some people ended up waiting a lot longer than others. They also skimped on the pesto on my fries (there was almost none) but they were more than happy to add more for me when I asked at the window, which is also where you can ask for their special fry sauce that you don't want to miss.

The food was incredible!!! Staff was fun and friendly! The peanut butter shake was 100/10!!!! Sooooo yummy!

On their website, Milt's Stop & Eat proudly declares that they partner with local food producers, and that their burgers are fresh ground and grass fed. We certainly weren't expecting a classic burger joint like this in a small tourist town! Bacon Cheeseburger ($7) - Very messy burger here. A ton of ketchup and mustard spread on the bottom bun, followed by lettuce and onion, and a small mountain of what seem to be homemade pickles. The pickles are not sliced consistently, so some pieces are paper thin, while others are over a quarter inch. They are crunchy and have an especially strong tang, which, when combined with the acidic condiments, makes each bite have a sourness that overpowers all the other flavors in the burger. I'd almost suggest to eat the burger upside down to allow the cheese and meat to hit the tongue before all the acid. With the meat - the patty is pretty generously sized but doesn't seem to be charred all that much, making the patty a bit anemic. I didn't get a lot of beefy flavor, but this may be due to the grass-fed nature of the beef. There's a slice of American cheese on top, which is only melted in the center, leaving the edges and corners still in original form. I honestly couldn't say how much bacon there is included - these are very thinly sliced and reminded me of the fully cooked microwavable bacon. They completely get lost in the burger and I actually regret getting the bacon cheeseburger over the normal cheeseburger. Everything is on a soft and pliable bun, toasted on the griddle. If I get a burger at Milt's again, I would probably ask to either omit the pickles or ask for them on the side. They are way too powerful for the sandwich. (3/5) Fries ($3) - Served piping hot directly from the fryer. They pump these out continuously and don't drain them all that well, resulting in a layer of oil on the bottom of the paper serving boat that soaks into the bottom most fries. Otherwise, the fries on top aren't soggy at all and have a light crisp on the outside combined with a fluffy inside. They are interestingly shaped into potato dippers, which isn't seen too often. They are lightly salted and generally delicious. They look homemade given the size differences between the dippers, but could also be Lamb-Weston given how nicely crisp they are. (4/5) Pesto Cheese Fries ($5) - These are the same fries as above but layered with cheese and pesto. The cheese is generously applied, but is melted together into a tight matrix that hardens up almost like glue. The pesto works well with the fries and cheese. Unlike the regular order of fries, the pesto fries aren't crisp at all and instead fully fluffy like they've been steamed. The cheese is a little suspicious with how well it's melted without any browning - a peek behind the counter shows some microwave action. Regardless of cook method, it's still tasty. (4/5) Milkshake, Large, Malt Powder + Oreo ($6) - This shake starts super thick when it first comes out and can't really be sucked up through the straw. After letting it sit for 5 or 10 minutes, it started getting soft enough to drink. It's a pretty classic milkshake, pretty solid overall. The oreo is well distributed, but I couldn't really detect any malt for the first half of the shake. The malt starts getting more and more concentrated as the liquid level goes down. That's because the powder actually isn't dispersed well in the milkshake at all - instead it all settles on the bottom into a large glob and isn't blended in at all into the ice cream. I probably wouldn't get the malt again, but I would the oreo for sure! (4/5) Bathrooms - Single unisex room in the back behind the building I visited again a couple of days later for more: Cheeseburger ($6) - Milt's is very inconsistent with their burgers. I guess it depends on who is the grill master at the time. Unlike the burger the other day, this one only includes a couple of pickle slices and has a distinct lack of mustard and ketchup on the bottom, making the burger overall a little dry. This one is completely on the opposite spectrum as the previous burger in terms of moisture. Still, due to the lack of overpowering acidity, it's a bit more pleasing to eat. (4/5) Fries ($3) - This time, the fries are drained well with no oil puddle soaking on the bottom of the tray. (5/5) Bowl of Chili ($5) - I believe this chili is made in house with the leftover burgers and brisket, both of which are mixed into the chili in pretty generous amounts. In addition to the meat, there are tender pinto beans, tomatoes, and green bell peppers. They give the option to add diced onion and cheese on top. This chili tastes like a classic chili and is delicious, not overly salted. It's chock full of ingredients, probably more solid than liquid. (4/5) Milt's is a very solid burger joint, although a bit inconsistent. The prices are pretty reasonable, and I'd visit again in a heartbeat whenever I'm in Moab.

I was solo traveling through Moab this summer, and this was by far my favorite diner and food experience in Moab. I couldn't tell if the gentleman I talked to was the manager or owner, but he was incredibly friendly! We sat and chatted the whole time I was eating and he gave me the scoop on the best of Moab and where to hangout and see while I was in town. It was one of those core memories you make while traveling. I came in for a veggie burger but after chatting I had a veggie patty melt per this nice gentleman's recommendation. It was delicious! I also really loved the fries - I have never had them where they were curled and crispy before. It was a really great place to stop and eat! I would highly recommend!

Outstanding! Burgers were perfect; I had the blue cheese and bacon and she had the bacon with grilled onions. Onion rings were ALL world! Get the thousand island type sauce for dipping.

I was told that "if you didn't eat at Milt, you didn't come to Moab". You only know why after you try this place. It is a small place that you place order from window and you pick up from the other. Find yourself a seat outside wherever you can. Burgers are cheap. Less and $10. A lot of classic burgers also they have their signatures. I had the bacon and egg cheese burger, the sunny side up egg makes a big difference when the yolk running down into the patty. Union rings comes in a good portion. The best thing is their milk shake. I had the banana milk shake is what you will die for. It's made from fresh banana so it gives you the real flavor. read more

Wow - really, really surprised at the great reviews. We waited over an hour for an overcooked, minuscule patty 2/3 of the size of the bun with funky cheese, an icky excessive amount of lettuce and an overpoweringly bready bun. My daughter nearly cracked a tooth on a piece of hard cartilage in her burger, turning her off the meal completely. 1/2 of the order was entered wrong (wrong flavor shakes, burger instead of the blt we ordered), and the shakes (which were excellent but the straws are too thin for the thickness of the shake, making them difficult to drink) came out 55 minutes before the food so my kids were full of ice cream before their food even arrived. We came for a quick meal and were annoyed to have this take up half the afternoon and be pretty darn bad. Good onion rings, good shakes, sloooooooooooooow service, terrible burgers. A serious disappointment. read more

Very good burgers and super fast service. The seating area is outdoors under a beautiful tree. Lots of cyclists and locals eating at this place. That's how you know it will be good. We had the cheeseburger and elk burger. Both were excellent! Their "fries" are more like skinny wedges but very crispy. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

Oh my gosh what an amazing hidden gem! At least to tourists like myself, the locals all know about this place. It's tucked away in a residential area away from the main streets. Bless Yelp for helping me find them. I learned later it's the oldest restaurant in Moab! Tasty grass fed beef, delicious shakes and their brisket melt is amazing! So much meat piled into the sandwich and it's one of the best brisket we've ever had! Flavorful, and tender. Beats out several bbq joints! Really impressive when it's not a dedicated bbq place. Friendly staff, and we're so thankful that one of them recommended the brisket melt to my mom! This place was so good we had to go back again! Great food at prices like this is incredible! My wife and I thought the burger and fries here we're better than In n Out. They've been in business since 1953, and it's in the older part of MOAB in a residential section. I have outdoor seating under a big shade trees, which are very comfortable. Burgers were excellent and my wife said the onion rings were great too. read more

Shake and fries were good. Chicken sandwich really dry, stringy piece of fried chicken. Burgers weren't cooked to order. Precooked and sitting in those red and white fry baskets then warmed on the griddle resulting in dense and chewy burger. It's a big griddle so plenty of space to cook to order. Not sure why you'd do it this way. read more

I'm still thinking about the burger I had from here a day later after eating it. I got the bacon egg and cheeseburger and the bun was soo soft and fresh. The meat was high quality and the texture of the egg and bacon was unmatched. It's not often that I find a burger that really leaves a mark but this one did! Went on a busy Sunday for lunch. We expected it to be slow, which it was. What we didn't expect was overcooked everything. The onion rings had that really crunchy breading that tears up the roof of your mouth, give them extra time in the fryer and they are inedible. We sent them back and the people were so rude about it and tried to ignore our request. My husband told them he wasn't leaving until he got something else. Tried to order fries instead but they just gave us the next onion rings that were available. They were not burned so we just ate them. Our friends chichen nuggets were way overcooked too. The tots were cooked well but tasted like old grease. The burger was fine but the blue cheese that was supposed to be on it was only on half of it. The root bear float was the best thing we got. The fries were also thick cut and tasty. Fry sauce was free. We probably won't be back. read more

Burgers feature grass-fed beef, are cooked fresh and most are tasty (esp the Santa Fe burger with hatch chile and the Bacon & Egg burger). The elk burger was not tasty without slathering a lot of ketchup and mustard, but doing so masked the game-y taste of the elk meat, which is the point of getting an elk burger. Cheese fries are actually sliced instead of sticks or wedges...nice twist...and real cheese instead of a cheaper cheese sauce but this meant not enough cheese. Overall, it was a good cheap eats place when visiting Arches. read more

Just a darn good burger at a great value for this touristy area... my cheeseburger was made fresh - and was big enough to fill me up! mustard alert: if you're not a fan beware their basic burger comes dressed with lettuce, heavy pickles, mustard and ketchup (although I didn't taste ketchup so added more). This is one of my top five fast food burgers ever! Double cheese plus bacon hold the pickles & mustard. Hand pressed fresh meat burgers make ALL the difference!! Plus, the fries are like nothing I've had before. It's a thicker, larger cut fry but smaller than a jojo. Not sure if they're house cut or not but they're on point, too. Place has been here nearly 70 years and I wouldn't change a thing. Their outdoor eating has almost a park like ambiance with an interesting mix of tourists (like us) and locals. They jammed through the orders, too!! Not much more than a 5-7 minute wait. Shakes are made from hard ice cream and make sure you save room for a brownie sundae. At $6 it's a great value that would easily feed two as long as one of them is not me. Good food, good value, friendly folks 5/5 across the board!! Bravo, Milt where ever you are!!! read more

he burgers are great here and this was our first foodie stop in Moab. I got the regular cheeseburger and hubby got the BBQ brisket cheeseburger. The brioche buns are soft and you can taste the freshness in the meat! I'm not a super big eater but have to admit the burgers are a bit small. Hence the small price to pay also! We shared the chili cheese fries, however the cheese was still in pieces not 100% melted. Personally I prefer the cheese to be all melted and there were just too many beans. So I would either pass on this or inform them to have the cheese super melted. Overall a good meal with plenty of outdoor tables and chairs. read more

Excellent blue cheese, bacon burger. Really fresh fries - which were a cross between an english chip and a potato wedge. Try the peanut butter milk shake - it was excellent. Really friendly service. It was busy but we managed to get indoor seating on stools and watched the team working on the grill plate. Relaxed music in the background and temperature was good, even with 100+ outside. read more

Milt's Stop and Eat is a Destination Station in Moab, Utah. Milt's was recommended by Rich, a Friend back in Michigan who knew that Jules and Walter were on a Grand Tour of National Parks in Utah. So glad we took Rich Man's suggestion. Jules and I each ordered a CheeseBurger. We split a Fries. Jules had a Raspberry Malt. Walter a Coffee Shake. Absolutely Fabuloso !!! Generally, Walter don't like them "Steak Fries" - too big, not done enough, go cold in seconds flat. Milt's Steak Fries got something going on - extra crispy on the outside, seasoned perfectly, hot and moist on the inside. Originally, had thought about splitting a Burger with Jules, but something told me, "Get Your Own", so we each got our own. Neither of us could quite finish the last bite, but we sure tried. Burgers cooked to perfection and dressed to kill. We each finished our shakes down to the last slurp. We got a chance to meet William, the current owner. Milt had the place for twenty-seven years, the second guy for a like number of years. William bought the place fourteen years ago from a guy who only had it for a short duration. William gets his meat from a Butcher who actually raises his own Beef at his own place. read more

I really enjoyed the food here, despite a long wait. This is a popular spot so it's advised to order online in advance to avoid waiting. We enjoyed hanging out anyway after our vigorous day of mountain biking in slick rock in the are. My kids got burgers and loved them and ordered the fish sandwich, fries, and fries with chiles and cheese. Everything was fresh, cooked just right, and delicious! We are only hear 3 days and we might come again. One of the best burger experiences I've ever had!! Amazing food, EXTREMELY reasonable pricing (seriously, a steal!) and a really good malt to end the experience. We ate it all outside under the shade of the big tree... couldn't be better. Our Mountain Bike Tour Guide raved about the food and burgers at Milt's. So upon his suggestion we decided to go eat here after a long day biking around Dead Horse State Park. Milt's is your quaint old-style burger joint meets 60s diner serving up milkshakes, burgers, fries and chili dogs to name a few. The inside is very small with two tables and a couple of stools cozied up to the counter where you can watch all the cooking action taking place. There is also a walk-up window for ordering to go as well as seating outdoors. Our order was turned around quick and the tater tots were really good. Found this lil gem of a place on a ride outa town a a UTV. Stopped in on the way back. One of the better burgers we've had! Patty was well sized and flavorful, of and the buns are like bakery fresh! Flys have completely overrun Milts! The flys were so thick inside that we moved outside to even more flys. Even with a breeze the flys were so bad we had to keep our hand over our drinks to keep them from having a taste. We couldn't handle it anymore and got our burgers to go. Had my burger on the go and honestly it was pretty terrible. It's one of the only times I haven't finished a burger, threw it away half finished. I hate giving 1 star reviews and have had great burgers at Milts in the past but something has gone terribly down hill. There are WAY better options in town for a burger, pretty much every restaurant in Moab offers a good burger. read more
