Food was great! You could immediately tell it was going to be good from the kimchi and banchan. There's not a huge variety of banchan, but everything tasted good.. so in that regard I'd rather have quality over quantity. I ordered the seolleongtang - omg it hit the spot and was exactly what I needed today. The meat was also very tender and flavorful. Note- I like more natural flavors and usually don't like over seasoned foods so keep that in mind. They also have salt on the side if you need more seasoning. The person working reminded me of a nice auntie so I'd say service was good. And this was just a place I stumbled across in a super market. It's obviously not a fancy spot in terms of ambiance, but it's clean and portioned off from the rest of the super market so it's well designed and has good space. Would come back!

Before main menu Very delicious Side dishes

Very dilicious!!!!! And The servers are also calm and very kind. Also I think the variety of side dishes are foods that help you stay healthy.

Tucked in a corner of a Korean supermarket, Mimi Noodle is homey and felt like I entered my Korean auntie's kitchen. The staff's English isn't that great but it adds to the authenticity. I ordered dumplings and they were so big and filling I had to eat them in two meals. The banchan was also delicious and fresh. I would definitely visit again.

Came here for a quick meal while charging my Tesla. This restaurant is located in the Hannam Market right as you walk in. Place is well maintained, clean and staff is super friendly. With the recommendation from the server I ordered the Seolleongtang and was quickly seated. The server also brought out some complimentary side dishes and a bowl of rice. The soup came out piping hot. I was instructed to add my own salt to preference (which I like). Meat was perfectly tender and the noodle was delicious. Cleared everything including the side dishes. Highly recommend coming to this restaurant and giving it a try.

Amazing service, fresh authentic korean comfort food. Cold noodles, seafood noodles, beef rib soup, stone bowl bibimbap and mandu were all good. Inside of the korean market. Good spot for a quick bite

This is a great spot to stop by after grocery shopping! It was so convenient since we didn't have to drive to another restaurant. The food portions were huge for such a reasonable price, we even had leftovers to take home and enjoy the next day. The food was delicious. I wasn't planning to order dumplings, but after seeing another table enjoy them, I couldn't resist! The server mentioned they make them by hand, not from other manufacturers, which made them even better. The staff was very kind and generous and gave great recommendations, especially with so many tempting options on the menu. Overall, it was an easy, convenient, and great experience. Plus, we were able to grab some bakery items and coffee inside the market before heading home!

Tried this new Korean noodle spot and wow... so good! The first time I went, I got the Noodle Soup with Perilla Seeds (Deulkkae Kalguksu 들깨 칼국수) and my husband had the Spicy Beef Brisket Noodle Soup (Spicy Kalguksu 얼큰차돌칼국수) - his was nice and spicy, mine was super thick, creamy, and comforting. We also shared their house-made steamed dumplings. Omg, say less. The second time, I went by myself because I was craving Kong Guksu during the hot weather...and of course, had to get their LA galbi! The portions are HUGE (come hungry!) and they give you so many banchans. There's a big variety of dishes, so it's perfect for families or groups of friends. Love that it's inside the Hannam chain - tons of parking and easy to get to. Definitely our new go-to for Korean home food without driving to Rowland!

    Banchan

Honestly so good! Feels really authentic and has big portions. I don't think the workers speak English but the service was still really good. Def coming back to try something else.

    Kalguksu

Best authentic Korean food. The ahjummas will take care of you. Portions are not huge like some restaurants, but good amount if you don't want to take home leftovers. Bonchon is generous and tasty. Everything is freshly made in this little corner of Han Nam Chain market.

Came here with a large party (around 16!) for lunch and the ahjumma (아줌마) was amazing! She arranged the tables so that our large party could all sit together, served all of our food quickly, and constantly checked on us to make sure we had enough banchan and water. Very kind and attentive service! I ordered the noodle soup with kimchi (김치칼국수) and was met with a large bowl of yummy, hearty noodle soup, which was a pretty big portion considering the price! They have a lot of different menu Korean comfort options that I want to check out for a good price, so I'll definitely be back!

I feel that I went to koreatown for this food yet it was only 5mins away from me. Service was quick by ajumma and feels cozy as you're eating in the corner of the super market. Yum yum yum!!!

Seollongtang and Kalguksu were both so delicious and rich. Only downside is there were only 4 banchans

But the real plot twist was the Pineapple Bun with Butter. I normally skip these because I find them too sweet, but theirs is a game-changer. Extremely crispy on the outside with that perfect slice of cold butter melting inside. I also like the ambiance and service was also pretty good! the food did not take that long to come out. Everything was pretty affordable and parking was really simple to find as well! Overall, I would recommend going to this place! I think most people would really enjoy it!

Absolutely TERRIBLE experience. Do not waste your time or money here…read more The moment we walked into Fu's Restaurant, it felt like stepping into a sauna. It was 79 degrees inside, muggy, humid, and completely uncomfortable. We almost turned around and left immediately. The place was practically empty, which honestly should have been our first red flag. We decided to give them a chance anyway. Big mistake. My colleague and I were offered water or hot tea. We both ordered hot tea. The menu clearly says in English that hot tea is $2.99. Nowhere does it clearly explain in English that you will be charged differently depending on how many people drink it. When the bill came, we were charged $5 each. Apparently, there is some clarification written in Chinese, but how are customers who do not read Chinese supposed to know that? That is completely misleading. The tea portions were not larger, not special, nothing different. Just basic tea. The pricing felt deceptive. We also ordered popcorn chicken and chili wonton soup. Both came out in tiny portions that looked like appetizers, yet the menu does not clearly label them as such. For what we received, paying over $30 total felt ridiculous. The food itself was mediocre at best. Nothing memorable and definitely not worth the price. Because of the uncomfortable temperature, confusing pricing, small portions, and average food, we chose not to leave a tip. As we were walking out, the waiter chased us outside and pressured us about the zero tip. That is completely inappropriate. Tipping is not mandatory. It is earned. Confronting customers outside over a tip is unprofessional and embarrassing. Between the heat, the questionable menu pricing, the small portions, and being confronted outside, this was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a long time. We will never be back. There are plenty of better places within the same plaza than to dine here. I don't expect this place to last long anyway.

I got the Braised Beef Noodle Soup with Wide Flat Noodle and in Medium Spicy. Everything was exactly to my tastes. They are heavy handed with the spice, I'd say their medium is a typical extra spicy. What I liked, soup base clear, had hints of Sand Ginger, Umami Bone Broth, hints of cinnamon, heavy parsley/ cilantro, fennel, star anise, black cardamom, white peppercorns, mmmm, I can taste the broth even now, 2 days after that meal, very distinct, and when paired with their in-house chilli oil, not the one on the table, the actual spicy one they exclusively keep inside the kitchen, you can taste the additional layers to the chilli oil and it just brings the entire LanZhou Noodles to a whole another level. The lamb Rou Jia Mou was really filling. I liked the quantity, not overtly big, not too greasy, and had just the right amount of protein to keep the dish an appetizer, as you await the main course. Pickedled Sweet Kimchi Cabbage was also very enjoyable, although I prefer the in house ones made at Yumi Time in City of Industry better crispiness to the bite in their version and more balanced taste. A solid four, because I'm biased. Having worked with two extremely talented masters in Phoenix Arizona, I've tasted what could be the best LanZhou Noodles and Best Xiao Long Bao any seasoned restaurant staff could ask for. My former colleague Hand Pulled Noodle Master chef Shuai used to head the reknown LanZhou Noodles place in Gaithersburg Maryland serving up all those Ambassadors, Lobbyists, DC Politicians, and when we were in Phoenix Arizona, along with Pastry / Flour Dim Sum Master Chef Sister Ying, we concocted probably the best Xiao Long Bao / Rou Jia Mou and LanZhou Hand Pulled Noodles to ever grace the lands of Arizona and in my opinion, was far superior than any other place in Los Angeles. But again that's just me. I'm biased and I've been blessed to sit down, and have worked with some of the best small kitchen crews and experience great staff meals. And this leads to me to my conclusion: Yes, I'm putting this restaurant officially on my #2 for Chinese Noodle Soups in LA. This place will from now on be in my casual rotation. A no frills, real, down to Earth Noodle Shop. Why I like it? Just the overall setting doesn't try too much. On the surface it looks really plain, boring, not much to expect. The lot is big with many spots. Staff is very friendly and welcoming, but Staff spoke limited English. Fortunately, pointing at the menu was clear enough. The food took eight minutes and nine seconds. Fast time! As mentioned, the Beef Rib Noodle Soup ($16.50 - Mild) is wonderful! It arrived picturesque and delicious!! However, despite ordering "mild," the food has a very strong heat; I sweat nonstop as I ate. The broth is rich, savory, and spicy. The meat is tender, flavorful, and falls off the bone. And the noodles are hefty, soft, and springy. It's a wonderful, euphoric combination of flavors and textures. Concerning ambiance, No. 1 Noodle House (Rowland Heights) is surprisingly spacious with its tall ceiling and relatively clean surroundings. However, its walls and furniture look worn down with time. Some seats even had torn holes. Unfortunately, the music uses radio with constant commercials playing in the background. Fortunately, there's a gender neutral restroom in the back.
