Mimi Noodle is a little gem nestled in Hannam Market. It's the perfect stop after some grocery shopping. And even better if you're in the mood for some good homey Korean food as if it were cooked by your very own halmeoni (Korean for grandmother). I love that the menu is huge with pictures on the wall. Makes for easy ordering with or without language barrier. I also love that they still serve barley tea as well as water. We ordered cold noodles and LA kalbi combo. The banchan was so good. Good quality kimchi. The cold noodles were so flavorful and perfectly chewy. The broth was refreshing. The LA kalbi is hard to mess up and was delicious as expected. Everything was reasonable priced and delicious. Would come back after grocery shopping errands.

Saw this place inside the supermarket. Always crowded with mostly Korean people during meal time. Found out that they cook homey style food. Light on salt and spices. Quite healthy. Good portion, decent price. Like a hidden game for elders, especially the golfers. Service might be awhile when it's crowded during dinner time. Looks like auntie Mimi is the main and mostly solo chef in the kitchen. Nice addition of Korean cuisine in the neighborhood. Support local businesses.

This spot is located inside the korean market on the right side next to the bakery. There weren't that many people toward closing on a Sunday. Food was great and authentic. The mandus were okay, wish they provided a sauce to pair with. Seafood pancake was slightly crispy and had different types of seafood in it.

Food was great! You could immediately tell it was going to be good from the kimchi and banchan. There's not a huge variety of banchan, but everything tasted good.. so in that regard I'd rather have quality over quantity. I ordered the seolleongtang - omg it hit the spot and was exactly what I needed today. The meat was also very tender and flavorful. Note- I like more natural flavors and usually don't like over seasoned foods so keep that in mind. They also have salt on the side if you need more seasoning. The person working reminded me of a nice auntie so I'd say service was good. And this was just a place I stumbled across in a super market. It's obviously not a fancy spot in terms of ambiance, but it's clean and portioned off from the rest of the super market so it's well designed and has good space. Would come back!

Tucked in a corner of a Korean supermarket, Mimi Noodle is homey and felt like I entered my Korean auntie's kitchen. The staff's English isn't that great but it adds to the authenticity. I ordered dumplings and they were so big and filling I had to eat them in two meals. The banchan was also delicious and fresh. I would definitely visit again.

Came here for a quick meal while charging my Tesla. This restaurant is located in the Hannam Market right as you walk in. Place is well maintained, clean and staff is super friendly. With the recommendation from the server I ordered the Seolleongtang and was quickly seated. The server also brought out some complimentary side dishes and a bowl of rice. The soup came out piping hot. I was instructed to add my own salt to preference (which I like). Meat was perfectly tender and the noodle was delicious. Cleared everything including the side dishes. Highly recommend coming to this restaurant and giving it a try.

Before main menu Very delicious Side dishes

Very dilicious!!!!! And The servers are also calm and very kind. Also I think the variety of side dishes are foods that help you stay healthy.

Amazing service, fresh authentic korean comfort food. Cold noodles, seafood noodles, beef rib soup, stone bowl bibimbap and mandu were all good. Inside of the korean market. Good spot for a quick bite

This is a great spot to stop by after grocery shopping! It was so convenient since we didn't have to drive to another restaurant. The food portions were huge for such a reasonable price, we even had leftovers to take home and enjoy the next day. The food was delicious. I wasn't planning to order dumplings, but after seeing another table enjoy them, I couldn't resist! The server mentioned they make them by hand, not from other manufacturers, which made them even better. The staff was very kind and generous and gave great recommendations, especially with so many tempting options on the menu. Overall, it was an easy, convenient, and great experience. Plus, we were able to grab some bakery items and coffee inside the market before heading home!

Tried this new Korean noodle spot and wow... so good! The first time I went, I got the Noodle Soup with Perilla Seeds (Deulkkae Kalguksu 들깨 칼국수) and my husband had the Spicy Beef Brisket Noodle Soup (Spicy Kalguksu 얼큰차돌칼국수) - his was nice and spicy, mine was super thick, creamy, and comforting. We also shared their house-made steamed dumplings. Omg, say less. The second time, I went by myself because I was craving Kong Guksu during the hot weather...and of course, had to get their LA galbi! The portions are HUGE (come hungry!) and they give you so many banchans. There's a big variety of dishes, so it's perfect for families or groups of friends. Love that it's inside the Hannam chain - tons of parking and easy to get to. Definitely our new go-to for Korean home food without driving to Rowland!

I feel that I went to koreatown for this food yet it was only 5mins away from me. Service was quick by ajumma and feels cozy as you're eating in the corner of the super market. Yum yum yum!!!

    Banchan

Honestly so good! Feels really authentic and has big portions. I don't think the workers speak English but the service was still really good. Def coming back to try something else.

The bossam arrived on this grill that kept it warm throughout the meal, which I can appreciate. The sulungtang and yukgaejang were both phenominal and hit the korean comfort food cravings. Get the purple rice!! Not to mention they had deals on alcohol too. I believe $5 for beer and $7 for a soju bottle -- cant beat that in this economy! The pork is consistently tender, and the banchan (side dishes) are always fresh and high quality. The braised beef was good, but it didn't quite live up to my expectations. It could have been braised longer, and I felt the sauce didn't really penetrate the meat the way it has at other places, so the flavor was a bit lacking. The only real downside was that the older woman working that day was a little short with us. Other than that, the food is consistently solid. Overall, 4/5.

Furnitures and decorations have been rearranged. It feels like they have more than enough seats & tables inside. Food prices are still reasonably affordable and foods are still delicious/authentic in taste. There used to be more employees inside, but today, we didn't see staffing at front counter. Ordered at self service kiosk. I had the all day daily breakfast quick fix: two eggs, hash brown, and toasted garlic baguettes. Simple breakfast much under $10. If I add a meat/sausage/SPAM/etc., I would pay a few bucks more. Everything tasted exactly as expected. Older Uncle cooking inside was busy and multiple tasking as usual with online app takeout orders. The beef macaroni soup was also exactly as described and comes with a beverage of choice (iced honey lemon beverage for us). Huge food portions. Good flavors. No complaints. Very satisfied. Maybe we are more simple to please with general Hong Kong street comfort foods. Overall, I do hope they can stay open and not shutdown like other locations during high inflation times. It's been comfortable dining inside each time. Uncles inside are hardworking folks. There were much lesser cars in the parking lot too. Different vibes compared to the first visit. Still yummy here.

Each entree/side/drink combo came about to nearly $20. The rice noodles and wonton noodles were pretty good. They give alot of congee but taste was just okay. Decor was cute. I got the Boba Bear Set $8.50, which comes with a drink and two house-made cookies, and my mom got their Tiramisu Latte $7.00, which is heavy on the coffee liquor, to be honest, but we had fun with it. The drinks are crafted beautifully, and with the open cafe concept, you can see they pay attention to the small details of their crafted drink menu. The house-made cookies that were a part of my Boba Bear Set are not to be forgotten. The cookies are buttery, decadent, and delicious; they are the perfect tea cookies to pair with! I can't wait to go back and try more of their fun drinks and maybe bring a study book the next time. For our main dishes, we shared the Chimi Wagyu & Frites $35.00, and the Fresh Avocado Toast $19.00. We both love eggs so of course we had to get something with eggs in our dish. My mom loved her avocado toast, and they were very generous with the avocado as well on there. The salad is a definite hit with us and included a great dressing on the side. The eggs were cooked perfectly on top of our toast and steak. The frites with my steak were crispy and seasoned well. I also loved the chimi sauce with my steak as well. The portion was huge so we were able to take some back home to enjoy another day. Overall, my mom and I had a great experience and would absolutely come back for another sip of their lattes and try another fun drink on their menu. Almuchow (West Covina) had relocated to this new spot in late December. Staff is very professional, welcoming and friendly. Staff works hard. I observed how Staff worked nonstop throughout my visit. My food took 14 minutes and five seconds. Good time! As mentioned, the Longsilog ($15) and Pansit Mix ($16) appears beautiful. Although it lacks the usual saltiness & oiliness of traditional Filipino food, it felt health conscious with comforting textures. The ingredients tasted clean. The Longsilog's sausage had the familiar sweetness of the Longanisa, but it felt more comparable to a meatball/meatloaf version. The Pansit also had the wetness and length of the usual dish, but it tasted muted. Still, the food felt well-intentioned and filling. Regarding ambiance, Almuchow (West Covina) is spacious, clean, and welcoming. I appreciated how Filipino music played on its speakers. The flat screen TVs even showed filipino musicians.
