    Soy milk

It's my first time at this restaurant. It is located in a not so busy part of the plaza. So there are plenty of parking spaces. The restaurant is small. There are only six tables for dining in. We ordered the pork dumplings with shrimp and chive. They were very good. Five stars for these dumplings. The skin was not too thick. The fillings were delicious. We had the boiled dumplings but you can have it pan fried. We also had the beef rolls. They were delicious as well. Four stars for the beef rolls. The beef if eaten by itself could use more flavor. But when it's wrapped in a roll, the sauce and cilantro make it taste good. We had hot plain soy milk as beverage. It was also good. You can add your own sugar if you like it sweet since the soy milk comes unsweetened. Overall, I was very happy with the food and will be back to try other dishes.

Large soy milk (sorry, I drank some of it before I took the picture. The container was almost full)

This place is a hidden gem! Since stumbling upon it, I've come back three times, each time for breakfast. I would really like to come back to try their lunch, because their lunch and breakfast menus are different. My family and I always order the jellied bean curd soup, soy milk, and and deep fried dough stick (which is like a Chinese fried donut). Soymilk is very rich and sugar-free. The jellied bean curd soup is very homey, which I like. In my family, the small jellied curd soup is enough for two people to share. This eatery is one of the only active shops in the plaza so parking is definitely not an issue. It always has a steady stream of customers in the morning, but most order takeout so finding seating has not been an issue for me. I think the prices are super affordable. This morning, we spent $16.50 on breakfast for three people, and I left stuffed with leftover soymilk and half of a jellied bean curd soup. The cashier also skips the tip option, which is nice. Definitely recommend you check out this place if you're in the area and looking for homey comfort food!

Based on Yelp, found this no-frills, hole-in-the-wall Chinese cafe situated in an almost-empty shopping plaza. Don't let the surroundings deter you from not trying their authentic soups & dumplings. It's good comfort food. With only a few tables inside, dining patrons gather early in the morning for breakfast and most do takeout orders. They also carry frozen dumplings available for purchase. Prices are reasonable and the person behind the cash register is nice. Service is quick and plates are cleared right away. Get-your-own-water at the table in front. *Hearty, savory & filling pork wonton soup- 4 stars *Pan fried pork & shrimp with chives dumpling- 4 stars

This is the first time I was able to try authentic northeastern Chinese breakfast in California, and it really satisfied my cravings. The food is just like it is back in China and very delicious. The menu is short and simple which is my favorite since that means they specialize in specific foods. Must try for some authentic and delicious Chinese breakfast! The staff are very friendly too.

Was in the neighborhood and dropped in for lunch. The bao buns are big and low priced but were on the dry side and also had empty space in the filling area. These need sauce in order to be tasty. The beef noodle soup was big but the beef was low grade and very dry. Hard boiled eggs are overcooked so be ready to see a lot of grey inside. Big portions and low prices make this a popular spot. But this not my preference.

I ordered two things, the pork and cabbage bun and the spicy beef noodle soup. The bun surprised me with how soft and fluffy it was. The meat filling was sweet and flavorful. Combined with the chili oil provided at the tables, it created a wonderful, comforting experience. Speaking of comfort, the spicy beef noodle soup provided a similar experience. While this is not the best soup I ever had, the soup was still flavorful, and the spices cleared my sinuses. There is plenty of beef on top as well, but I did think more vegetables would of been nice.

Lunch was also amazing! Service is fast and efficient. Decided to come here for lunch one day to try it out. And I have to say the food is just as amazing as breakfast. we got the beef roll and the beef noodle soup. The beef roll was made to order, and was so fresh and delicious. The beef noodle soup is literally one of the best I've had in my life. People always talk about artisan noodles, this place makes her noodles fresh and pulled by hand, and has the perfect bounce and chewiness. Hands-down, some of the perfect noodles I've had. The beef was also cooked perfectly, and just melts in your mouth. The broth is not too thick, but definitely the right amount of flavor. Love the food here, everything is made so fresh, highly recommend!

A hidden gem in Diamond bar. Their Fried Pork Bao is extremely delicious. On top of the fact that they are made freshly daily, there is this special crispy layer on the bottom of the bao. Xiao Long Bao is comparable to Thumbling, Din Tai Fung, and many other known restaurants. The best and must-try in this place is their beef pancake roll. It is indeed the best I have had. It is recommended to call 15 minutes prior your pick up time. Also, you can dine in as well.

We've been exploring our new neighborhood recently and stumbled upon this hidden gem a few minutes…read moreaway from us. We were craving siomai and Peking duck for dinner. Fortunately, they serve both. We both love siomai, duck, and crispy salted squid so we ordered the trio. The siomai was fresh. Tasted as if it was just off a lunch cart. It's delicious and the serving size is quite generous. The price is unbeatable too. We really enjoyed its balanced taste. Sometimes, siomai can be a bit bland but this was packed with flavor. The Peking Duck was great too. Reminded us of our time in Hong Kong. Less oily but still delicious. The buns were great too. We both enjoyed every bite. The sauce was excellent too. It had sweetness to it from the pineapple sauce. The salted crispy squid is balanced. Salty yet a bit sweet. It's definitely more of the indulgent side of things. Best paired with rice. We skip the carbs that night, but we'll definitely order this again paired with something else. The service here is great. Everyone is welcoming and helpful. It doesn't feel like rushed service. Ambiance here feels like your typical Chinese restaurant. It's clean and you can tell it has aged over time. You're here for the good food though, not the aesthetics. This will definitely be our local go to. We genuinely enjoyed the food and can't wait to explore more of the menu during our next visit.

My family has been here a few times, but I can't remember if I've ever been to this restaurant…read morebefore. Nevertheless, I was really hungry and looked forward to eating good Chinese dishes. I thought the food was adequate but not as good as dishes from other Chinese restaurants around the area. We got the chicken chow mein, fish fillet with sweet corn, and honey walnut shrimp. Steamed rice is available but for an additional charge. The staff made themselves easily visible and offered to take our order almost immediately. The chicken chow mein arrived lastly. We noticed this because we were finishing our two other dishes. The ambience was nice, but I noticed that our plastic tablecloth was a little tattered. The fish fillet with sweet corn came breaded. With sweet and savory flavor from the corn, it was good. It might've been better if the fish were not breaded. The flavor from the honey walnut shrimp was adequate, but I've tasted better elsewhere. My hunch infers that the shrimp quality could've been higher. The chicken chow mein's flavor was decent, but I've tasted better slurry from other Chinese restaurants. Our meal came with complimentary jasmine tea, which was quite strong and flavorful.

After trying multiple roast duck delis, I can confidently say Duck Palace is one of those places…read morethat quietly delivers exactly what you want--no gimmicks, just consistently well-executed classics this far east of SGV Let's start with what you're here for: the roast duck. This is where Duck Palace really earns its name. The skin hits that ideal balance--lightly crisp with a slight lacquered sheen--while the meat underneath stays juicy and flavorful without being overly fatty. It's not trying to be trendy or reinvent anything; it's just done right. The seasoning leans traditional Cantonese--savory, slightly sweet, and aromatic without being heavy-handed. I did not try the supporting dishes, but they had a good variety outside the roast duck. This is where you can tell whether a place is a one-hit wonder or a true kitchen. They had BBQ combo plates, stir-fried dishes, and various sides. Service here is efficient, is part of the charm. You're coming for good food, done well. Best to call in to reserve a duck ahead of time because they will sell out by mid-afternoon. The space itself is clean and straightforward--more casual than upscale--but comfortable enough for both quick meals and relaxed family meals. What I appreciate most about Duck Palace is the consistency. The price is reasonable for what you are paying for and the duck combo meal is enough to feed 2-3 people. Pro tips: - Go earlier in the day if you want the freshest roast selections. - Takeout holds up surprisingly well (the duck skin still has some integrity if you don't let it sit too long). - Great option when you want authentic flavors without driving deeper into the valley. - Discount for paying in cash Bottom line: If you're in Diamond Bar and craving authentic Cantonese roast meats, Duck Palace is a reliable go-to. It may not be flashy, but it delivers where it counts--and sometimes, that's exactly what you want.

On a hot summer day, this colorful rice bowl was exactly what I needed -- refreshing, flavorful, and only $9.90! (Found out later the chef used to cook for the Olympics, no wonder the food tastes so legit!) The vibe inside is really clean, quiet, and nice for a casual date or hanging out with friends. Service was super sweet too. They kept checking on us, refilled our water non-stop, and made sure we liked everything.
