I've never had that combo and enjoyed it. The appetizer portion turned out to be the perfect size along with the other items we ordered. The wagyu was just okay for me. It was soft and nicely cooked but under salted. I did love the peppercorns with it. The frites were wonderfully crispy and had an addicting seasoning on top. Lastly, the star of the show: decaf cappuccino with their pistachio coconut crisp with berries on top of a citrus sponge. Presentation was top notch and taste was mouth watering. You will not regret ordering this dessert! More praise to their cappuccino is needed. Awhile ago I searched for the best cappuccino in Fort Worth and I never found it. Well, tonight I did. Wonderful thick froth and freshly grated nutmeg on top. We loved the restaurant - and had zero issues with parking. Food (and wine): the food was very good and honestly you get a lot of it. We did French onion soup, scallops, tartare, steak frites, duck, the included salad, and two desserts. Everything was genuinely very well prepared. The only thing we did not enjoy were the scallops, they were seared on one side and honestly just seemed underdone - but we're not scallop experts by any means so take that with a grain of salt. Everything else was very very good. I would highly recommend the steak frites and the duck. We will 100% come back just for the food alone. We let our waitress and the wine expert guide us with a tailored wine paring with each grouping of our dishes. This experience was very well executed - and don't skip the wine room, take a look. Service: the service was good, not amazing. The staff to table ratio felt overwhelmingly in favor of the staff, but the service didn't necessarily directly reflect that. After holding our IDs for about 10-15 minutes, the manager explained that one photo appeared pixelated (it did not) and that they were being extra cautious because they had encountered fake out-of-state IDs recently. He confirmed that the hologram and REAL ID star were both present but still wasn't comfortable serving us. No one scanned the IDs, checked other security features, asked verification questions, or requested another form of identification. We both work in the restaurant service industry, so we understand being cautious and double checking. However, proper training and actual verification tools could have solved this mystery pretty quickly. I'm not sure how anyone from outside Texas is expected to order a drink here. We made a game-time decision and went to another restaurant that was happy to accept both our business and our apparently very convincing "fake" IDs. 0/10. Would not recommend. Especially to anyone with a valid out of state license.
