Service was friendly - also super appreciated that since our server knew we were sharing the two sandwiches, she took time to plate them separately for us incl. halving the fries - thank you! FRENCH DIP - $16.49 plus $2.29 to add bell peppers, caramelized onions, mushrooms, & mozzarella. Sliced roast beef on ciabatta bread w/ side of au jus. Tasted ok. For the side, we chose their Petite House Salad ... there were several icky pieces of mixed greens. I wish staff would take time to remove the mushy pieces when plating - they are pretty obvious and noticeable ... and you can't help question the rest of the meal, sorry but true. TURKEY PESTO CIABATTA - $16.69 Slow roasted turkey (tasted old), bacon, mozzarella, avocado, tomato, baby greens w/ balsamic dressing and basil pesto mayo on grilled ciabatta bread. Sandwich overall tasted good. For the side, we chose the French Fries and honestly they were the highlight of our meal. We entered when few folks graced the restaurant, so the hostess seated us pronto with the friendly server right behind her to take our order. I chose the Mix & Match entree for $16.69 -- a multi-cheese grilled cheese with a house salad. While the sandwich was the cheesiest and so good, the salad was a bit disappointing with lettuces, a few cold cherry tomatoes (a couple whole and a couple cut in half), a few cucumber slices and croutons. No cheese, no onions, no nuts. It did come with ranch dressing. My Arnold Palmer, while tasty, cost $4.29 -- a bit pricey for a mix of lemonade and iced tea. My friend enjoyed a tuna melt that looked delicious and tasted so (she said) that came with a ramekin of soup and French fries. The soup and fries were okay. The restaurant is decorated pleasantly, and has a full bar to the right as you walk in. After hearing good vibes about this place so long, I finally came here on a Friday evening. There were so many spots available for parking and so many seatings available inside. The vibe is amazing! French-style red leather banquettes, dark-wood tables, vintage feel, mirrors with framed arts and warm lighting, it truly feels like dinning in a museum. We got the raisin Madeline to begin with, and the butter is so fluffy. I also become a huge fan of their girdle cake, the tres leches one is so soft and instantly melting in my mouth. I got the jambalaya with penne, the sausage is my favorite part. Friends got omelette with sourdough toast and mushroom melt, both delicious.Our service guy was nice and fun. What is happening at Mimis looking so rundown from the outside maintenance to the interior with worn carpets, rips in the seats, and unclean floors and the women's bathroom with broken toilet paper holders, etc. Not to mention the food in general is not up to the quality it used to be but they are charging way too much for their menu. Maybe other locations are better but the Turkey Creek location is not worth it. The AC was broken today while the back seated area was a frozen zone. Get it together! This used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but they've really let it get run down. Cracked upholstery, missing tiles, dirty floors, faded awnings, and poorly maintained landscape leave a bad first impression. The food was even worse. I ordered turkey and dressing. The gravy was so salty it was almost inedible, as were the mashed potatoes. But that wasn't the worst part. After leaving the restaurant, i started getting a rumbling feeling in stomach. I got the bacon avocado omelette with the carrot raisin muffin, my husband got the potato pancake Benedict and our son got the pasta with marinara sauce and fries. The food came out pretty fast. My omelette was well cooked and the flavors were good. It tasted fresh. My husband's meal looked good. The benedict had good flavors but it was just ok. Our son really liked the french fries and the pasta and since it was a kids meal it came with a dessert. Al the food tasted good my personal favorite was the muffin. I love the fact that they serve it warmed up. The service wasn't bad, we got refills and our food promptly but after that we barely saw anyone. I think our server just got busy. I wanted this to be a good review! I have avoided this restaurant for over a week, even tho it is across the street from where we were staying. The reviews on here weren't good. Google's are better, but nothing explains today! I was gone all day yesterday so my husband and daughter walked there for lunch. So, wanting a waffle I missed at the hotel free breakfast, decided to trust what they said. CLEARLY, lunch was better than breakfast or maybe yesterday was better than today, or maybe it's because we picked it up instead of eating there. IT WAS AWFUL!!!! The croissant, amazing! Only go there to pick those up!!! lol The butter is whipped margarine so don't use it! This type of breakfast restaurant NEEDS real butter!!!! And real maple syrup! I'll start by stating (and showing) the pic of our food just sitting there when my husband arrived, 14 minutes before our pickup time. He was actually back 2 minutes before our pickup time. Imagine if we had waited to pick it up until the time they said it would be ready. The food is sitting on a counter in plastic containers. No heating element around. Needless to say, our food was not even warm. The avocado toast my daughter got was OK or as they say "Mid"! lol She had in the notes was "no tomatoes" but it was covered. She did NOT receive the fruit cup she ordered with the toast. My husband's eggs and sausage was cold. His potatoes were supposed to have extra seasoning, per the instructions he added, they had none! We had asked in notes for an extra order of potatoes and we would pay when we got there, because there was no way to add a side to the order. They didn't "see the note" or any of our notes apparently, so they too weren't ready and the girl who ignored my husband standing at the front for 5 minutes while on phone calls, didn't know if she could add them on or not. That meant waiting even longer for the potatoes while our food got colder by the front door being opened. He was going to say never mind but they sent them out, nice and seasoned lol, unlike his, but still cold. My plate, $17.00, the eggs were fine but cold, as was the turkey sausage. I asked in my notes for something other than the malt waffle because I can't eat malt. I gave suggestions as to switching for the cinnamon roll griddle cake or adding extra of what already comes with. I said "surprise me"! Lol They did!!! They sent me the waffles! So I couldn't eat them. I ordered the seasonal trio. The pumpkin griddle cake may have been good, but the apple goo they put way entirely too much of on it, made it inedible. The spices do not work well together and there were the tiniest specks of apple in it instead of the slices that the picture shows. My pain perdu, as you can see, looks like someone already started eating it. I did still try it, despite my husband urging me not to. It was disgusting! Tasted like the brioche French toast didn't get cooked so completely gooey in the middle. Barely any cream in the middle at all, no strawberries, just bits of red and smashed blueberries. Everything is just a mess. No ambiance because we didn't eat there, but my husband being ignored, our food sitting getting cold 15 min before pickup, and the mid - inedible food, all for the low low of $75, we will NEVER go back! You all need to do better! Be consistent! Make you food at least close to the picture! And pay attention to your customers orders!!!!! You place a spot for "notes" so why don't you read them??? We got there early for our reservation setting LOTS of people waiting, and said to ourselves glad we have reservations...we're told by staff there reservation system is terrible and would be 2 hours...the staff was very friendly and apologetic but several were on the verge of tears as other customers yelled at them (wasn't their fault). Mimi's Cafe needs to work on their reservation system. Apparently there is no cut off in the system so people are able to book reservations whether or not there is actual availability. After waiting an hour for our reservation time we eventually left. This is the second tone we've attended to make a reservation here. We will not be back. I was so disappointed in this one yesterday. We had been here before and had great food and great service. That's why it's getting two starts instead of one. Yesterday it was like everything went wrong , we went around 10:30 so a little late for breakfast and a little early for lunch but it was not supper crowded so we were happy with that. Our server was very nice but it seemed like we kept getting someone else. My oldest daughter and I ordered off the lunch menu while my husband and youngest ordered breakfast. Everything was going pretty good u till they started brining the food. I had a salad with mine. Which I don't have a photo of but I found a hair that was not mine sitting atop my salad so I sent it back. They didn't offer me a new one or to remake it or anything. , then when they brought out everyone else's food I was still waiting for mine. Took quite a while to get my sandwich. If you have ever had a French dip sandwich you know it's supposed to be thicker cute of beef that have been made like in su ch a way where it creates an Aa ju to dip in ext. the one I received looked like the went to the local grocery store found the cheapest lunch meat they could and put it on my sandwich it was just gross. I only ate a few bites and didn't touch it again. It was so bad. Like you could see that the meat was just cheap lunch meat it was in that circular shape you would get from like budding lunch meat. On top of that my husbands steak was basically cold. It came with what is supposed to be a compound butter (was not real butter) and it would not melt on the steak at all. We go there be size my daughter who is gluten Intolerant has found she can eat there. But I don't think I will be back any time soon read more

We tried two years ago for valentines day which was our anniversary to Mimi's for dinner it was a terrible experience they were not expecting a lot of people so they ran out of food ...But their breakfast is really good so this morning me and my husband went there for breakfast I ordered the salmon eggs Benedict when we got it it look like it had been setting for quite a while and the salmon tasted funny so I was afraid to eat it . My husband ordered eggs Benedict two and a waffle when we went to pour the syrup on the waffle it was cold and very thick I had to ask her to put it in the microwave. I think our server was new she did not ask us if we wanted a muffin she just brought us our ticket I told her we wanted a muffin. We had the chicken cordon bleu and the walnut cranberry salad with chicken - both of which were well cooked, well seasoned, and quickly presented. Today was our Christmas luncheon. 17 ladies attended. The waitress was wonderful and handled the crowd well. However my food was terrible. I picked and pushed the over dried chicken saturated in grease with raw green beans. The chicken breast was hard as if it was from the night before. With added grease. I had to tell the waitress it was awful. Also one lady had the short ribs that was one hunk of fat with mashed potatoes that were bland and raw green beans. Another had the same chicken I had further down the table and guess what? She couldn't eat hers either. What a bust! We woke up wanting a good brunch and Mimi's Cafe didn't disappoint. My husband suggested our usual, but I wanted to try something new. I love eggs benedict, so I ordered the Florentine Benedict with avocado. It was delicious and the avocado was perfect! I'm glad I added that to my meal. My husband could hardly finish the Pain Perdu with Mixed Berries Platter that came with two eggs, sausage, and coffees. He basically forced himself to finish since it was that good. The coffee wasn't as good as our usual spot, but it was drinkable (my husband is a coffee snob and we typically drink our coffee black.) read more

Last time we went a few years ago, waitress with an attitude, coffee machine broke, manager was as awful as the whole place. Went back today, same waitress with the attitude. Prices on the grande breakfast were not noted and waitress was trying to get an extra $2.29. She already asked about one non marked item and walked off when we questioned what came with the grande breakfast. Manager never came over .
