After hearing good vibes about this place so long, I finally came here on a Friday evening. There were so many spots available for parking and so many seatings available inside. The vibe is amazing! French-style red leather banquettes, dark-wood tables, vintage feel, mirrors with framed arts and warm lighting, it truly feels like dinning in a museum. We got the raisin Madeline to begin with, and the butter is so fluffy. I also become a huge fan of their girdle cake, the tres leches one is so soft and instantly melting in my mouth. I got the jambalaya with penne, the sausage is my favorite part. Friends got omelette with sourdough toast and mushroom melt, both delicious. Our service guy was nice and fun. I would love to come back for a breakfast/brunch experience to try more things on their menu.

We went to celebrate the 4th of July, and it was a great choice for dinner! A beautiful spot with sensational food--the Caprese salad was spectacular! Good prices and excellent service! Don't forget to order the mimosas.

Came here for lunch today with my family. Overall, it wasn't bad. The food was good. I got the bacon avocado omelette with the carrot raisin muffin, my husband got the potato pancake Benedict and our son got the pasta with marinara sauce and fries. The food came out pretty fast. My omelette was well cooked and the flavors were good. It tasted fresh. My husband's meal looked good. The benedict had good flavors but it was just ok. Our son really liked the french fries and the pasta and since it was a kids meal it came with a dessert. Al the food tasted good my personal favorite was the muffin. I love the fact that they serve it warmed up. The service wasn't bad, we got refills and our food promptly but after that we barely saw anyone. I think our server just got busy. Which is understandable. Mimi's has always been a fun place to go. The food is good and it can be a nice place to sit down with family or friends.

Mimi's Cafe is one of the most underrated spots in town for breakfast -- a true hidden gem. The menu has an impressive variety, from hearty classics like fluffy pancakes and perfectly cooked eggs to unique twists like chorizo tacos unexpected (but delicious!) and Tiramisu pancakes which I am super intrigued to try. Everything is made fresh, portions are perfect, and the staff is always warm and welcoming. Our waiter Orlando was attentive and kind. You can tell they care about the food and the customer experience. Whether you're in the mood for something light and healthy or rich and indulgent, there's truly something for everyone. If you're tired of crowded brunch chains and overpriced coffee shops, do yourself a favor and check this place out. It deserves way more attention than it gets!

Mimi's Cafe in Turkey Creek is always a great stop. The soup was excellent, fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The muffins were just as impressive: warm, soft, and perfectly sweet without being too heavy. Service was friendly and the atmosphere felt comfortable and relaxed. Definitely a five-star experience, and I'll be back for those muffins again.

The staff were wonderful but I must point out with nearly half empty tables the young hostess was a bit frazzled had difficulty with her electronic note pad and told us there was a 45 minute wait. The front house could use some training. We decided to wait at the bar and wound up eating there. Although friendly and helpful the bartender kept disappearing undoubtedly to cover for the server shortage. The food was excellent. I am entertaining a German coworker and wanted him to experience upscale and creative southern cooking. Tupelo Honey delivered! The fried green tomato appetizer with goat cheese grits and a zippy orange remoulade was awesome! My friend had the hot chicken and waffles and I had the shrimp and grits. He enjoyed the chicken and waffles very much. I have to say the shrimp and grits with Chorizo sauce was delicious and filling. Great job on the food. This place is a good choice just be patient for slightly longer than usual wait times for seating and serving. The people are nice and doing the best they can.

We came on a very busy Saturday night (weekend of Dogwood Festival, theatre night, and prom night)…read more Thankful to have a reservation, we were promptly seated while others with no reservation were being told three hour wait times. I loved the vibe of Tupelo, the hanging lush green plants on the side of the bustling kitchen, the cheerful staff and the lively music. Lizette was our server and she was just a darling. It was our first time here, and she was so helpful with her all of her recommendations. One of Lizette's favorites was the "Peach, don't kill my vibe" sangria. Which I just loved. I nice mix of peach and pineapple in a sangria. For our mains, we had the grilled harvest chicken and the chicken tenders. Both mains came with two sides. With my grilled harvest chicken, I got the mashed potatoes and the braised bacon green beans. The green beans were to die for, even my hubby was saying he should've ordered that as his side. The harvest chicken I loved--especially the sautéed spinach, red peppers and tomatoes on top. But if you can't handle spicy, this dish does have some heat to it. And we ended my birthday celebration with the heavenly banana pudding. It was heavenly in every way. Made in house, and so delicious that even my hubby ate it and he never cares for this dessert. If I could've licked that little bowl, I would've. We already cannot wait to come back and try some of the brunch items on their menu. We loved everything about Tupelo and hats off to Lizette for making our night even more special!!

It was my brother in laws birthday and we surprised him by having his brother fly up here. I finally landed on the Lox Benny +avocado and espresso martini. The server was sweet, but he informed us it was his first day, and it definitely showed. It was a weekday lunch, so there were barely anyone dining in. I have worked in the biz, along with all of us, so we were patient. Over all he was sweet, and just needs to get in the swing of things. One of the eggs was not poached (overly cooked so wasn't watery), but over all it tasted amazing. I ordered a 2nd drink different from the first, and ooof, it was not good. The entire table wasn't impressed with their 2nd round either, we all tried something different. We had to return my sisters rum coffee completely. The strawberry drink tasted like complete syrup and was very thick. I felt bad and didn't want to return that one as well. I asked for them to water it down, It still wasn't great. I drank it anyway. Over all the server was nice/friendly and doing his best for his first day, we all enjoyed our time together, the food hit the spot and tasted excellent, but I wouldn't personally order the pre set cocktails they have on the menu.

We took a table in the bar area where one side is booth seating and the other a standard chair. The smaller tables could make it challenging for the different boards they serve but we managed just fine. We split the uncle Koli's happy hour portion of nachos and they were exemplary - layers of cheese and meat and fresh avocado drizzled with a unique barbecue sauce and sour cream were absolutely delicious. For mains we split a taco board and wedge salad. The portions are generous and our taco board had some really tasty steak that was well seasoned and cooked to order. They nailed the perfect medium rare and all the accoutrements were very fresh and rounded out the board nicely. 10/10 presentation. The wedge salad was a unique twist in using romaine lettuce instead of typical iceberg and again it was all very fresh and quite delicious. We finished our meal with a shared bourbon banana pudding and the only criticism was they favored presentation over palate in having the Nilla wafers floating on top so they were very crunchy rather than submerged in the amazing mix of pudding and whipped cream. I can't fault them though, look at the pictures attached - beautiful plating all the way around. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the star of our visit - Allie was our server in the bar evening and she managed to keep our drinks filled, answered questions and did everything with a remarkable attitude and friendly disposition. Shoutout to our server Brandon who took extremely good care of us and even remembered each of our names after checking our ID's for drinks. For apps we started with the crab rangoon dip and guacamole. The crab dip didn't have a lot of crab but it was cheesy, warm, and paired perfectly with the wonton chips. The guacamole was good, but the chips could've used some salt. Entree wise the shrimp and grits was great, but it was the smallest amount of grits I've ever gotten in a dish. The shrimps were cooked perfectly though. In general the entrees looked smaller than other restaurants but felt it was the perfect size to not be overly full. We ordered all three desserts and they were all yummy in their own way. I love banana pudding, this one had a kick of bourbon. The panna cotta wasn't too heavy on the coconut flavor and was creamy. The beignets were warm and so good as well! If I were in the area I would definitely be back for brunch!
