First, I have been going to Mimi's since I was a child and every time I come I am met with friendly staff, great food and feeling like I'm away somewhere in Europe. Liz was our server and she's amazing! If you come in, don't forget to ask for her! You won't regret it!

I absolutely love this place! The service was great as usual and our server Liz was so sweet and helpful! It's such a nice spot to chill and chat with friends and family :)

Location 4: On the Southwest corner of Corbin Ave and Nordhoff Place in Northridge, California, in a plaza shared with Olive Garden. Plenty of self parking on the lot, and some free street parking as well. Venue 4: Franchised restaurant with cozy old French Country motif. Larger facility with indoor tables and booths and a bar area. No outdoor seating. You can make reservations on their website or directly on Open Table. Service 4: Our server Pedro was friendly, polite, helpful and attentive. Food 4: American comfort food with French Country influences. Extensive menu of breakfast items, pastries, soups, salads, sandwiches, large plates and desserts. Breakfast and Lunch/Dinner menu are served all day. The benedicts are great and worth a try. We have also had the French Pot Roast (their version of Beef Bourguignon) and it is quite good. Drinks 4: Specialty Coffees and soft drinks, Beer and Wine. The Last Word 4: A good choice for some comfort food in an unpretentious and cozy environment with friendly service. Highly recommended!

This is my first time visiting this location. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is beautiful inside and out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had breakfast and Liz our server was awesome. She checked on us throughout our dining experience. The food was great too! If you're in the area stop by you will not be disappointed. I will definitely be back!

They charged me almost 32.00 for half a sandwich. The tuna melt was dry and cold. I'll never purchase from here again. 1/5 stars. The customer service was also mediocre and behaved as if it were a five star restaurant. They seemed not interested in taking your order either.

I had a lovely Mother's Day brunch with my mom and family at Mimi's this past weekend! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We ended up going on Saturday, May 9th to avoid the crowds which was a great decision on our part as it was not too busy, but still decorated nicely and lively with all of the other families there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was decent; I would've appreciated a couple more check-ins and refills especially seeing as they were not as packed as usual. Still, the food was delicious and most importantly, my mom enjoyed her meal. My favorites of the day were the Cookie Butter Latte, the Griddlecake Sampler, and the Santa Fe omelette. Everything was very freshly prepared, warm, and flavorful. I was very surprised by how good the muffins are too! I had never tried one from Mimi's before, but as it was included with the omelette, I opted for the blueberry one which was warm, soft, and subtly sweet which I really appreciated. Overall, a great brunch was had and I will definitely be back soon.

Perfect for a casual Sunday breakfast with the fam! Not too crowded, not too loud, plenty of free parking in the lot, and the high chair actually pushes under the table so kiddo can eat AT the table instead of a foot away from it! Amazing! Liz is the BEST server we have had in a long time. So attentive, informative, and friendly. Felt like we were regulars right away. We got the Salmon Benedict w/ avocado and Mimi's Brunch trio (which is not the picture on the menu, in case you were also confused, LOL! Food was delicious - great diner vibe with some fall flair on the seasonal items featured in the brunch trio. Portions were generous! Coffee refills were plenty! I am jittery and delighted. Kid kept repeating "eggy, eggy!" Very nice breakfast. Would definitely come back - and fingers crossed we get Liz again!

Don't come often but Mimi's never disappoints! Food is always so good. And the service is just great! Thank you Liz!

Decent Service, but Cold Food Disappointed We were seated right away at Mimi's Cafe, which was a great start. Overall, the service was okay nothing too negative, but nothing memorable either. The main issue was with the food. We ordered eggs Benedict, and unfortunately, all of our plates came out cold. It seemed like the food may have been sitting for a while before being brought to us. We were really hungry, so we didn't send it back, but it was definitely disappointing. Our waitress seemed really busy and wasn't very present at the table, so we didn't have much of an opportunity to bring it up. Her service felt a bit rushed and dismissive, likely due to being overwhelmed. The flavor of the food was actually good it's just unfortunate the temperature ruined the experience. Hopefully, it was just an off moment.

I grew up coming here with my grandmother. It's still very good and consistent. I wish they would offer more vegan/vegetarian options. The place looks the same as it did 25 years ago. It could use some updating but it's a comfortable homey place with comfort food. Like all places staff is limited and we couldn't get our check due to our server helping other large groups.

I enjoyed this restaurant I went early morning for breakfast. It was not crowded they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The decor was nice and it was dimly lit ample seating. Chairs and fixtures were outdated and needed some cleaning! The staff were friendly and the food was affordable with a large variety of options. The omelette I had was fresh but lacked flavor and seasoning! The blueberry is what have me keep coming back the best warm Blueberry muffin I have ever had! Definitely worth a visit if you're on a budget and in the area!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Lively and friendly atmosphere for Sunday brunch![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were greeted warmly as soon as we walked in and seated right away. No wait at all. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was busy but not crowded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server Liz is super diligent and upbeat. She made our time really enjoyable. Now if you are craving fresh baked muffins, breads, or other goodies, then this is your place. They have a full coffee bar and breakfast all day for those of us that like a lazy Sunday. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great for families or for special brunch with mom.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Thank you Liz

Seasonal Breakfast Menu -- June 2025

Blueberry muffin over toast with my entree plate every time! The muffin was gooey and sticky, so yummy and warming. I loved eating it as a dessert after my breakfast entree plate (Although they serve the muffins early on! It was so tempting to eat them already). My boyfriend got the seasonal menu item of the chorizo sausage omelet. The cheese was layered ontop of the fluffy meaty egg and was drizzled in sour cream and cilantro. The chorizo was a bit spicy yet delicious. I got the bacon ham and sausage omelet, which is made with 3 eggs. It was also delicious and very fulfilling. The cheese used was cheddar and melted the ham and bacon bits wonderfully. There were plenty of meat inside so I was very happy. Definitely another wonderfully tasteful experience!! Prices are quite high for some things such as a 4 pieces of bacon being $6+. Honestly need to pick and choose which is worth it for the buck especially for classic breakfast items.

The service was absolutely on pointe thanks to Kaiya, Teri, and Randy. Warm, polished, attentive, and just the right amount of fun. Hubs and I split everything, which was the right move because this meal was rich, delicious, and very filling. We started with the baguette bread service, which is an additional charge but 100% worth it. The bread, salted butter, and mixed berry spread were pure France in a basket. Next up was the French onion soup, and wow. Cheesy, full of flavor, with a beautiful broth that somehow managed to be rich without being too salty. Perfection. Then came the Big Mec burger, as seen on Food Network's top burgers -- and yes, it absolutely lives up to the hype. Definitely enough for two. Perfectly seasoned patties, melty cheese, a fresh brioche bun, and that bordelaise sauce bath underneath? Flavor-forward, decadent, and unforgettable. We rounded out the meal with a slice of French toast because apparently we make excellent life choices. Also delicious, also worth sharing. This was not just lunch -- it was an experience. Will I go back? Absolument! Next up: dinner.

Got seated on the patio on a beautiful day, so we were perfectly happy. After a quick glance at the menu, our recommendations from our server, we decided to order. We started with the escargot, as one does at a French restaurant, and the French onion soup. The escargot cube bathed in butter, garlic and parsley and were very tasty. I mean, how can they not be when bathed in garlic and butter? The French onion soup was also delicious with ample gruyere cheese overflowing. Pure indulgence! For entrees, we all tried something different. The steak frites were.... steak frites. If you've tried one, you've tried most, so not very memorable. The duck confit was cooked well and not overly fatty, which was nice. The omelette, let me say, is beautiful to look at. You almost don't want to touch it because it is very picrure-esque, and absolutely cooked perfectly. A, dare I say, perfect omelette. Finally was the Big Mec. Now, there are a lot of good burgers in Los Angeles, but the Big Mec is one of the greats. So much flavor with the double wagyu patties, cheese, special sauce all while sitting in a Bordelaise sauce. It isn't something you would eat every day, as it is heavy, but it is phenomenal when you do. I'd say one of the top five burgers in Los Angeles, in my humble opinion. Overall, delicious French restaurant in Hollywood, a little above Hancock Park, serving delicious food. Get the escargot and French onion soup to start, and definitely get the omelette and the Big Mec, you will not be disappointed.

Like people said it was romantic and I was like sure, I guess in the pictures it kind of does. In person though??? Wow. Absolutely wow. I was in awe. I wish I could sit there every day. The lights and ambiance are truly insane. I have never experienced anything like it. Let me backtrack too and say that I paid $14 for valet which tbh is not too bad considering I didn't have to worry about my car or anything so it was worth it. Okay the food. We got Parker rolls and the Mezze plate for the table. Wow, the Parker rolls were as you would expect. Buttery goodness. French butter as you know...top tier. Okay the Mezze plate? Every single sauce was so good. The little cous cous thing in the Mezze plate was so cute and yummy. Then the main dishes. Seven vegetable couscous was great. As a Moroccan, I can say it was a great vegetarian version of the dish. Has the staple veggies you look for in a cous cous. My friend got the vegan cauliflower steak and that was so beautiful and tasted delicious. It was a great dish for my vegan friend. Our waiter was so nice and really personable as well. From start to finish, he was there for us when we needed him and we really enjoyed our dining experience because of him. I forgot his name but he's a star. I have already recommended this place to others because it really was so incredible. I am so happy I got to come here.

She chose this place for the Instagram worthy atmosphere you see online, but I would say it falls a little short of how picturesque it is. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice garden setup up, but we were expecting a more romantic and whimsical layout. We also noticed that the dress code is very loosely enforced as there were numerous people there with T shirts on. We got there for our reservation about 15 minutes early and was seated quite fast. The hostesses at the front were quite friendly and the wait staff were attentive and mostly nice. One of our servers seemed a little curt at one point, but it wasn't too bad. Once you are seated they ask about your drink order, and offered wines, sparkling water, and literally said "tap water". Pretty surprised that they said tap water, but we went with a glass of wine and sparkling water. The menu is short and it's easy to make your decision. We went with the 24oz Prime Ribeye Steak, Pappardelle pasta, Kingfish Crudo, and the Portuguese Piri Piri Shrimp. The ribeye was served with scalloped potatoes and green beans that were delicious. The ribeye was a perfect medium rare, tender, and served in a very balanced sauce. The Piri Piri Shrimp was also great. Large pieces in a slightly spicy cream sauce; I would describe it as almost a Cajun flavor. These were my favorites of the dishes we ordered on this night. The Kingfish Crudo was a nice choice. I believe it was yellowtail served with small pieces of cherry tomatoes and peach chunks. The sauce was nice and refreshing with a little sweetness. The Pappardelle Pasta was ok, and probably my least favorite dish of the night. It wasn't bad, but wasn't on par with the rest of our meal. The thick pasta noodles were al dente, and the sauce was nice and creamy with pieces of green beans. It got better once we mixed the poached egg into the sauce, but still didn't get it to the point where we would order it again. Since it was my fiancé's birthday, she wanted to get one of their desserts served as a small birthday. She saw pictures of their passion fruit coconut cheesecake on Instagram and wanted that, but they changed it where the passion fruit was at the bottom of the cake. I thought it was decent, but not a great dessert. I thought the staff would at least sing happy birthday like other restaurants, but that didn't happen here. Overall, The Little Door is a small romantic stop to have a date night. I don't know if I would consider it a place to celebrate a special occasion though. I think we would come back, but not for anything big. Also, I would recommend using the valet, it's right in front and they only charge $14 pre tip.

Classic choice, can't go wrong! - Duck confit (5/5): never had this before but oh man it was so good! The duck skin was light and crispy, not oily at all and the duck was juicy. The flavors shined throughout and the purées complimented the duck really nicely. Super balanced dish - Beef Bourguignon (4/5): I wanted to love this more but I think the wine sauce was too overpowering. The beef was fork tender and cooked really nicely but I just thought the sauce was too strong. Everything else was nice! - pistachio crème brulee (5/5): I was so surprised but this was so good!! Let's talk about the food: -Wine and cheese flight- 3 Small Pours Paired with 3 Bites of Cheese (Bright Whites). This was absolutely lovely. The cheese and wine pairings were perfection. This was served with crackers and a baguette. My favorite cheese was the brie, it was super creamy. -Poulpe Aux Pistou- Octopus with white beans, and pesto. I do not recommend this item. The beans were a little undercooked and the octopus was chewy. I should've returned it. -Nicoise Salad- My friend had this salad and said this was one of the best ones she's ever had. The assortment of ingredients was perfect. Service was friendly but our server was running around with a large section. Our wines did not come out until after the food was delivered, and the appetizers were not coursed. I don't blame her for the lack of service as she was doing her best. The buss boys were really nice and helpful and we were able to ask for help as needed.

The owners added to the warmth of the space genuinely welcoming, the kind of presence that makes a place feel personal rather than polished-for show. The sea bass was the standout: perfectly crisped skin, buttery and delicate underneath, resting over earthy lentils that soaked up every bit of flavor. Paired with a smooth Malbec, it all came together effortlessly. But honestly, the best part of the night wasn't just the food or the wine. it was the company. The soft candlelight, a shared table, and her next to me made everything taste better. A spot that feels intimate without trying too hard. Definitely coming back.
