Steak and Eggs Breakfast with Extra crispy Home-Fried Potatoes Steak was good but which they had an a1 steak sauce or another one
    Andrew R.

I got the steak breakfast with extra crispy potatoes. The steak was cooked medium. Everything was good. I just wish they had A1 steak sauce or a specific homemade steak sauce for the steak. We went around 11 and the Ambience was good not packed. The service was okay but I understand there were maybe 2 parties bigger than our 3.

I've been to Main Kitchen many times, and it never ceases to impress! I love trying new things on the menu, and I've honestly never been disappointed with anything I've ordered. Today, I decided to try the Cuban, and it was absolutely delicious! I brought a friend with me this time, and it was great to share one of my favorite spots with her. It's exciting to see this place getting busier and busier, all thanks to word-of-mouth. It's always a good sign when more people discover a gem like Main Kitchen! Our server, Amanda, was fantastic--super sweet and attentive. Her friendly service made our experience even better! Kudos to Deb in the kitchen I can't wait to come back and try more dishes. If you haven't been here yet, you definitely should! See you soon, Main Kitchen!

5/5 this place. The steak was cooked and seasoned well. It was delicious and easy to slice. Even the fries was seasoned good. I'm impressed with this place they keep it good including the staff service. Inside is still clean and well lighted. They did a good job keeping the place with good food and service.

I just found a little gem in Canoga Park called Main Kitchen--and I can't believe it's so close! If you're in the West Valley and want a cozy, impressive breakfast or lunch spot that will have you coming back again and again, you've got to try it. They have two locations, but the one on De Soto is perfect for large groups. It's a small business, and I love supporting them--especially since it's Black-owned, which is a big accomplishment in the Valley. The pancakes are delicious. They have side mini pancakes that are about the size of your palm and the entree pancakes are HUGE and delicious. The catfish and grits sent me back home to Ohio and Texas. Yes the grits are smooth. The servers are nice and attentive. Of course it's a small business and there has never been a crowd when I come - which is a surprise based on how good it is. If you need it (hint hint), they have wine, mimosas, bottomless mimosas, beer etc. I have not been here for lunch but I will try it soon. So glad I found MAIN KITCHEN nearby.

Walked in for mid-morning breakfast. There was R&B playing at a decent sound. Friendly service. Rapid table service. We order the steak and eggs. I cannot emphasize on how good this combination is. From the steaks down to the potatoes. 10/10. The potatoes were not your stale over cooked potatoes at other breakfast spots. Super fresh and perfectly season. The mini pancakes were drizzled with powdered sugar. Definitely a hit. If you're not a sweet tooth the powder sugar is just enough. I poured syrup over one of the minis and I think it was delicious. One thing I can say beyond the ambience being super chill, is that food is fresh and delicious.

I recently stumbled upon Main Kitchen Bar and Grill for breakfast--and what an incredible find it was! Tucked away in a plaza I often drive past, this restaurant is a true hidden gem. While the exterior might be unassuming, stepping inside is a delight. The space is bright and inviting, boasting an open-concept design, beautiful art displays, and a genuinely cool, welcoming atmosphere. The background music was perfectly chosen, setting a wonderful tone for the meal. The warm hospitality started immediately; every staff member, including our wonderful server, Savannah, greeted us with a genuine smile. The menu offers a fantastic variety, but the food itself was the true highlight. We shared three items, and everything was executed flawlessly: * Belgian Waffles: Simply perfect. They maintained an incredible crunch, had the ideal level of sweetness without extra syrup, and were truly loaded with fresh bananas and berries. * Spinach, Queso Fresco, and Mashed Avocado: A perfectly balanced and fresh combination. * Chimichurri Steak Quesadilla: Absolutely heavenly. A special shout-out must go to their side of potatoes--they were the most perfectly formed and flavored potatoes I have ever had! We loved the food so much we immediately ordered another side of potatoes and another round of waffles. The service from our server, Savannah, was A++++. Her attentiveness elevated the whole experience. I am already planning my next visit and will be enthusiastically recommending Main Kitchen Bar and Grill to everyone!

I came here with my husband for breakfast! It was our first time and I already can't wait to go back. They were short staffed but very nice and moved very quickly. I ordered the eggs Benedict and my husband ordered the chicken fried steak. Both were delicious. The poached eggs were perfect and the potato's were the star of the show! The menu had a lot of different items and I can't wait to come back and try other options. There is a lot of parking which is nice and the inside was very nice and clean.

The food here is delicious! I especially like the El Dorado burrito. Their green sauce is just heavenly. They are always nice and bring my to go order to the car since I have trouble with mobility. Ambience is comfortable and rustic. I like this plate and they get an a letter grade. Let's do our part to keep them in business during these hard times.

The food is amazing here! My husband and I had their chicken basket and fries and huevos ranchers. There is so much love put into the food, and the coffee tastes great. The chef, and the wait staff are very attentive and kind. We will definitely be coming back again.

I really enjoyed this place! It's nothing flashy or wow but just like simple comfort food! I got the eggs Benedict with potatoes and my husband got the steak and eggs. We both really enjoyed our food! Service was great, the waitress was so sweet and attentive. The decor is very comforting as well, just a super welcoming vibe. Only thing I was eh about is the iced coffee. I'd recommend getting hot coffee over the iced coffee. It's just coffee in a cup with ice and they give you creamers on the side.

I really appreciate how them for saving my day lol!! It is a nice place with cool artworks and Kobe's quotes... love it. We visited today and I was at a point almost about to pass out ... I was very honest and asked for the quickest food I can eat . I think the server's name was Amanda... she is such a sweetheart and was very quick to prepare the food .. but first things first, I had to get the giant cookie. The cookie was a blessing, very tasty and warm. The food was ok . But good enough to make me feel better. I really appreciate all the kindness and treatment I received today.

Also poor internet service up here, so I'm not a fan. I arrived without a reservation and it was fine. They offer the outdoor patio and even noticed a private event taking place. They also have indoor seating with tables and sofas. I spent the majority of my afternoon inside as I was avoiding the heat. Just depends what type of wine you select; but Pricey here for a flight of red wine four types; $59 but my fault for going with all reds! They are top tier. Flight wine Saddlerock: Syrah, Cab, KOM, and Res Cab. Syrah was the on the dry side (as it is known to be) and not as sweet. Still really good. The KOB was a combination and it was delicious. That was my fav out of the batch. I also bought water for $5 but it's a big bottle of sparkling water; Not tap. My total here was $64 paid with my card and closed my tab. For the following rounds, I paid cash: I had two rounds of IPA beer: both were really good in my opinion. "Pliny the elder" by Russian river IPA and "food fight" by common space. Glass was $10-11each 16oz Lastly, I ordered a charcuterie cheese and crackers which was $28 the board itself was very cute and decorated nicely. Overall, this place can be pricey but I was there to hang out, explore their menu and drink so it worked out for me in the end.

We decided to come back with friends but on a Wednesday night at 6:30 instead. Sat at a table in the area where the music was but it was very loud and tightly packed with tables and guests. I could barely hear my friends due to the loud conversations, loud laughter, and just the acoustic affects in the restaurant were bad from that. We ordered steak, sides, and thought baked potatoes but got mashed instead. After we ate dinner we asked the manager if we could seat outside for dessert instead due to the loud noises around us. He brought us there but we had to wait at the bar outside till we were seated took an additional 15-20 minutes. After seated it was better than inside with a nice decor too instead. Dessert was ok service good. For such a high-ended restaurant and pricy food it's only avarage, inside decor pretty but very and tightly packed with guests and loud especially for a week day night kind of unusual, I was disappointed think it's a bit overrated sorry to say. I think Flemings, Ruth Chris, or Morton's are better food wise for the same price and dining experience and not as loud too. Think what could make it better is to thin out the crowded packed affect in the main inside dining area would help a lot too, or, if we ever go back sit outside instead I recommend. The service and staff there were very nice, friendly, and attentive and worked hard during service though. So overall raiting is a 3. Tuesday music night inside was good though think because the band is set up where tables of guests would be so less talking and guests listening to the music instead. Hope they make some changes to there inside seating there for improvements will and could help overall.

I was searching for an elegant dinner spot on yelp and this place popped up. After seeing some pics of the food and the ambience, I quickly made the rezzy and my wife and I were on our way. As you come in, it's like you enter another world -- one of elegance and beauty. You can't help but notice perfect ambient lighting and modern vibes throughout the inside dine-in area and as you enter their huge gorgeous backyard patio, you just know that you're in the right place. The seating area there is massive, with very modern finishes and towards the rear of the patio you have the most beautiful water feature piece, that looks like a human-size vase, with water running down the vase and being met by fire at the base. Just one incredible architectural piece that creates that posh, contemporary ambiance. After taking in the breathtaking design of the spot, we finally sat down and ordered food. We tried the tuna tartare, squash blossoms appetizer and my wife got a seabass entree while I got their highly recommended vodka pasta. All of the food was absolutely incredible, from the freshness of tuna tartare, uniquely wonderful flavor profile of the squash blossoms , to the yummy vodka lumaconi pasta and the most mouth-watering seabass that I've ever tried in my life. I honestly never thought a fish could taste so good. The seabass was charred on the outside and just incredibly soft on the inside. As you barely touch the seabass with the fork, a piece of succulent seabass gets separated simply due to the natural gravity of the fork. The taste is perfect. It's like they somehow cooked it with large piece of butter on the inside. The incredible flavor profile and the consistency of each bite of this seabass, were simply unparalleled. And to add to all this awesomeness, the bed of risotto was perfectly cooked and tasted fantastic as well. To finish off our meal, we decided to share their apple tart pastry and it too, was fresh, flavorful and that scoop of ice cream on top, made the pastry just perfect. This place hits a perfect trifecta, with its phenomenal modern design , incredible food and absolutely superb customer service. Our waiter Zach was extremely nice, helpful, attentive and he was just a perfect guide throughout tonight's culinary adventure. My wife and I are more than satisfied and can't wait to come to Casalena again!

The restaurant is much larger than it appears from the outside and has a great atmosphere for watching a game. The place was packed, but our server was outstanding. Given the crowd, especially during the World Cup match, the service was impressive and easily one of the highlights of the evening. The drink menu offers a large selection of beers and spirits. The cocktails were decent, though nothing particularly memorable. As for the food, it was mostly average. The pork belly tasted more like carnitas, which wasn't necessarily bad, just not what I expected. The cheese balls received mixed reviews at our table. I thought they could have used a little more seasoning, but I was in the minority on that one. The crab cakes were small and, for me, lacked the most important ingredient--crab. Opinions were split at the table, but they didn't work for me. The house chips had a nice texture, although the frying oil tasted like it may have been due for a change. The smash burger was decent but nothing special. The steak frites were okay; I believe it was hanger steak, so take that for what it's worth. The shredded beef sliders were also just okay. Overall, I'd definitely return if I was in the area to watch a game and have a few drinks. The atmosphere and service make it worth a visit.
