The moving experience did not meet my expectations. Upon arrival, the individual exhibited an unprofessional attitude. Unfortunately, this was compounded by damage to some of my belongings and the wall of my apartment and I didn't get my security deposit from my landlord. My husband and I have moved many times due to work assignment. These are the WORST movers and they also Robber US! Chopped the lock off our storage unit. Now a year later we moved again and we are still blown away. Karma is a bitch, Peter & Mimi - the universe will take care of you. And for those following a police report was filed. They freelance and can only do weekends and arrive @7pm at night to pack that should have been my first sign to bail, then no insurance. read more

Peter and his crew helped me move a few weeks ago. I had underestimated how big the move was, but Peter and his team were awesome. They did an excellent job in wrapping all my furniture (big and small) and ensured that my stuff was delivered and setup correctly. Realistically, the move should have cost me so much more, but Peter worked with my budget and offered me a great discount....when i panicked at how long the move was taking, he comforted me, saying "don't worry, we shall take care of you", and that they did! If I could give them zero stars, I would. I am all about supporting local businesses but this local company do not deserve your money. Peter and Mimi were great on the phone, they knew all the right things to say to get my business. I decided to go with them after speaking with several other moving companies. On moving day, Movers were more than 20mins late which already started the whole moving process on a bad note. Once all my stuff were moved, I ended up with a hole on my wall bigger than a quarter and a damaged armoire. Even though, the movers knew about the damaged wall and furniture, I had to follow up with the company myself about getting my wall and armoire fixed. Peter finally called me after I emailed and called them and completely downplayed the damage. After I sent them pictures of the damage, they finally said that someone would drop by to "fix" my wall. Late that night, one of the movers came by, did a half ass job on the wall and left. I had to get taken of myself. It's been almost a month since I moved and I have yet to see them do anything about my furniture. I was also charged hundreds more than what I was quoted. In the end, I should have just gone with any of the other moving companies that I spoke with. I will never use Mimi's Moving company again or recommend it to anyone else that I know. read more

I used Mimi's to make a local move. Crew was excellent and very careful with my furniture. They wrapped each piece and nothing was damaged. Crew provided wardrobe boxes and assisted with the transfer of the clothes. I am currently have serious mobility issues so their extra assistance was very helpful to me. Blanca, office staff, was also very nice and provided a quote quickly. She was able tto answer all questions. Peter, owner, responded to my request for a quote very quickly and was also very responsive to my needs. This was not an easy move for me but the crew at Mimi's helped lower my sttress level. I was very happy to find a reliabe and professional local moving company. I will highly recommend to others in need of a moving company. read more

I reached out to Mimi's because I had ordered a huge item (mobile workbench) from Home Depot and I knew it would be a total nightmare to move it into my basement. I didn't think the Home Depot delivery guys would want to put in the extra effort. They got back to me right away and gave me a reasonable quote and were able to help me pick it up and bring it home. As I was afraid of, the move in was very difficult and required the removal of my basement door. They did a great job and were super nice about it. I would 100% call them again. read more

Thanks to Peter and his team at Mimi's Moving Co for a beautifully coordinated and successful, careful move for us at the beginning of November 2021. I couldn't have been happier and am deeply grateful to them for their professionalism. Peter grasped what our family was dealing with and responded throughout with consideration for our situation. We were moving my elderly father from southern NH to an Assisted Living facility in another state about a six-hour drive away. There was a lot going on for us and Mimi's made their part of things go without a hitch. My father had a fragile grandfather's clock he was very worried about. Peter and his employee Paco came a few weeks ahead of the move and padded and wrapped the clock to Dad's satisfaction and relief. The day of the move they arrived promptly at 9AM and wrapped and packed several pieces of furniture, assorted lamps, glass doors on cabinets, a huge recliner, about 20 boxes, a mattress, bed frame, etc. They did so respecting my need to be finished by 2:30pm so I could get to a train to meet them at the destination the next morning. The Assisted Living allowed move-ins from 10-12noon and then 2-5pm so as not to upset the resident's routine. Peter and Paco showed up on time and had all of Dad's things in and unwrapped before 12:30. Nothing was damaged. They had ample moving blankets and know-how. I received no complaints from the facility. I also want to mention the prompt professionalism from Blanca who answered any and all questions that I had via email or text. Towards the last minute, I realized I needed a garment box. No problem, she sent one over the morning of the move. Peter had also left me several packing boxes a few weeks earlier. These were a huge help also. I highly recommend these folks. They did the job that needed to be done. It was unique and they responded every step of the way to our personal set of circumstances. What a relief to know that part of things was taken care of. I also felt their price was right and fair considering the scope of the work. read more
