Came for the viral green grape chicken which I was EXTREMELY skeptical of but it ended up being my favorite thing I ate that day on a long flushing food crawl. The brightness of the green grape and sweetness work to cut the fatty richness of the fried chicken. Coming from LA they are a welcome addition to the flushing food scene. Also LOVED the honey butter chicken for a more traditional savory take. Just get BOTH!

Hidden gems inside a food court shop. Check it out ! I always get the rice cakes with some fried chicken! I've tried the cheese corn chicken, blueberry and cream cheese, green grape and the honey butter chicken! All really good
Such an interesting take on Korean Fried Chicken. Mimisa was previously located in a tiny food mall and every time I would pass by, the counter seating would be full. So it's definitely nice to see them relocated to Queens Crossing Food Hall with plenty of communal seating. We tried the green grape sauce and it was tangy, sweet, and so unique. I can understand why it's so popular! We're now interested in trying the honey butter sauce. The fried chicken was juicy and crispy which paired well with the sticky sauce. They are very busy and every order is made fresh so you can expect a little bit of wait time. While waiting for your order, take a walk to the other stalls and you might find some other interesting eats to add to your meal.
I love how this shop has a bunch of interesting and weird chicken combos. Unfortunately I am not one who can get over the Green Grape Chicken so I decided to go for a safe combo this time around. I got the corn cheese chicken and the honey butter chicken and I would say they were both delicious! I think the only thing hay caught me off guard was that the breading was thicker than I expected. Usually Korean fried chicken has a much thinner breading but other than that, I loved how crispy and flavorful everything was. The cashier was super helpful as well and tried to help us as we were choosing our flavors as well as explaining their combos to us. Overall a very nice place to check out inside a food court. Hopefully I can get myself to try another crazy favor another day I'm around.
4/5 Tteokbokki $11 (cheese $3 extra so &14 total)- missing fish cake but not spicy at all, was scared it was gonna be hella spicy cuz it's hella red, tastewise it's very different than any other tteokbokki I've had, can't quite specify how, just different in a good way 5/5 pickled jalapeno - so damn good, spicy, comes as a side with the tteokbokki 3/5 soy garlic chicken bento box $13- my friend said it's ok but she's not a fan of fried chicken 5/5 grape juice $3- def the best canned grape juice I've had, has actual grape chunks in it I'd go back for the grape juice, tteokbokki & pickled jalapeños
Finally got to try the fried chicken at Mimisa. I ordered the Combo 2 where you get to choose 2 flavors of chicken for $32. I ordered Blueberry Cream Cheese, and Corn Cheese. The fruity, sweet, buttery flavor from the blueberry cream cheese was definitely an interesting combo. I preferred the cheese corn. You can't go wrong with that. The chicken was crispy and flavorful even without the dip and the portion size was good. Was interested in their spin wheel where you pay $15 and you get a random chicken flavor. The staff was very friendly and informative. He gave us options on how we can mix and match our order, and let us see the food before packing it up. Would come back again to order other items.
I'm so glad I got to try this spot, because it was actually my favorite meal during my trip to NY! It's located inside a food hall so there were plenty of seats available, and they offer a variety of unique and fun fried chicken flavors. We got the blueberry cream cheese, matcha cream cheese, and corn cheese chicken. Out of these, the blueberry cream cheese was by far my favorite. I was doubting the flavor profile but it works incredibly well together; the cream cheese dip was very light, similar to whipped cream, and added nice sweetness to the chicken. The chicken itself was juicy and lightly seasoned, which allowed the cream cheese to stand out. The matcha and corn cheese were good as well, but if you want to try a bolder flavor then I highly recommend the blueberry cream cheese! I will definitely be coming back if I'm ever in NY and would love to try their other fun flavors.

Recently reopened in Queens Crossing Food Hall. They are at stall F4. Since it's in the food hall they share table seating, no seating of their own. They are still cash, zelle or venmo. It took 5-10 minutes for my order to be ready. They are on Grubhub and Fantuan but there is a bit of a price markup. I opted to finally try the menu item that got them viral - the green grape chicken. The chicken is as crispy and tender as before. The grapes are fresh, though the sweet artificial grape syrup is the prominent flavor. The coleslaw helps cut some of the sweetness. Definitely not my favorite flavor, but glad to have tried. I will personally stick to the Blueberry Cream Chicken. Happy to see them back after Landmark Quest Mall closed for renovations!
Came here yesterday and honestly a go to spot on my Korean finds in flushing. My friend and I Had the honey butter chicken, fish cakes, dumplings, spicy fries and tteokbokki. The tteokbokki was not too spicy but packed with flavor, dumplings were juicy and the honey butter chicken was crispy and sweet with every bite. Gotta come back here again. Service was great as the owner gave awesome recommendations and the ambiance can be pretty lively. Gotta go back :)
This place may seem like a gimmick with all the wacky flavors but the chicken here is actually quite good and flavorful. We ordered the Combo #1 with the blueberry cheesecake chicken, dukbokki and fish cakes. Like many people have said, the sweetness from the blueberry/fruit sauce and cream cheese somehow works well with the savoriness of the chicken. The dukbokki was good as well- it wasn't too chewy (which I liked) and tasted great with the cheese and fish cake on top. The staff was helpful and the food came out fairly quick. It's worth a stop if you're in the area and looking for something a little different!
Randomly came across this place. I haven't been to queens crossing in a long time. It wasn't as lively as the past. The guy at the counter was very nice and enthusiastic. He asked if this was my first time and gave suggestions. I went with the butter chicken which was good. I thought it was expensive for the price but there was a lot of chicken for leftovers. I'd come back to try the other flavors

I was visiting New York to see some friends, and my friends highly recommended going to this place. I would say that their recommendation did not disappoint! I would admit that I did get lost a bit looking for the place, but it was well worth the struggle to find. It is located inside a building with a bunch of other stalls, and it is close to the entrance. The food is well worth the struggle, and the owner is also super nice and very friendly! We got the famously unique grape chicken and added wasabi for dipping, along with the honey butter chicken, a serving of tteokbokki (with ramen, cheese, and an egg), and some fish cakes. We also decided to try out the different teas they had put in front. Let's talk about the chicken, the portions are a lot more than what I expected. We ordered two separate chicken flavors wase though we could finish it.. but we overestimated ourselves. The chicken itself comes out piping hot, and is super crispy! The honey butter chicken is just as it sounds, a bit sweet and a bit buttery. It has a great balance between the sweetness of the honey and the saltiness of the butter. It was quite delicious and one of the best-flavored chicken I had my whole trip. Now, for the grape and wasabi chicken. Similar to the honey butter chicken there is a salty and sweet combo, but with the wasabi, there is an additional spicy kick to it. That additional kick took the chicken to another level. The grapes provided a unique sweetness to the dish that you can't quite get with honey. To offset the sweetness of the grapes, I dipped the chicken into the wasabi mix and it brought out another depth of flavor that just made the chicken even better. If the chicken gets too overwhelming and you need a break, their pickled radish brings a great refreshing kick. We also got the tteokbokki and the fish cakes. The fish cakes are lightly seasoned and helps give you a break from all the heavy fried chicken. The broth that comes with it also is light and a bit refreshing. The tteokbokki isn't too spicy and I dare say it is a bit on the sweeter side. However I didn't mind as I was with some friends who couldn't handle the heat, so it worked out just great. The cheese pull was just perfect (didn't get a picture of it, but it was one of the best I've gotten) and the rice cakes were perfectly chewy! Overall I really loved the food and the service. I would say that the location is not too great, but I didn't expect much as many stores around Flushing are small and kind of crammed together. When I'm back in NY, I'll definitely stop by again! read more

inally tried Mimisa and was not disappointed ... it tasted so unique and good!! if you love matcha you definitely need to try their matcha cream cheese chicken which was super creamy, savory, and had a subtle matcha taste they are famous for their grape and blueberry chicken also don't forget to try the cheesy rice cake & fish cake w soup - perfect for a cold day and I loved their korean grape juice in an ice cup .. so cute and it had super large grapes in it read more
Mimisa is located in the same "food hall" as Joe's steam rice roll (also delicious). The guy working there was very nice despite it being packed. The tteokbokki was delicious, but the stars were definitely the fried chicken. Just make sure you eat it FRESH. I can't wait to go back to try the other flavors! read more
Ordered: Green Grape Boneless Fried Chicken (~$15) Aya's take: Located in the Roosevelt Ave Food Court, we stopped by Mimisa to grab some Korean fried chicken and particularly the viral green grape one! The worker who helped us was super friendly, explained the popular menu items, and even gave us some dukbokki/tteokbokki while we waited. The Dukbokki is delicious, btw! The spices are well-balanced and the rice cakes are firm, snappy, yet soft. Probably some of the best I've had. Now onto the fried chicken! I'm glad we started off by dipping the Boneless Fried Chicken into the Green Grape sauce because it's definitely sweet. I would suggest trying them separately first then adjust based on your palette. The green grapes were sweet and crunchy while the chicken was savory and crispy. They were pretty decent together but I'm not a big fan of fruits/sweets in a savory meal. The boneless fried chicken was very fresh and there's about 18-20 pcs of different sizes total. There's some bar sitting right in front of the booth and more in the back should you decide to eat there. Decent try! read more

Been hearing about this very interesting green grape fried chicken for a while! Mimisa is located in a long strip of stalls with Joes Steam Rice Roll and Bearin Wheel Pie. It's a narrow space with about 6 seats total and a ton of foot traffic passing through for the other stalls, so definitely more of a takeout kind of place. The chicken was decently crispy and juicy. Definitely does not keep its texture for long though, so I definitely recommend eating it as fresh as you can (maybe sit down across the street at new world mall's food court!) The green grape sauce was sweet and tangy with full grapes inside. I really liked the idea and the crisp contrast to pair with the savory fried chicken. However, the syrup was definitely too sweet for my tastes, and I only dipped it and didn't even pour it over the chicken. I ended up bringing the syrup home and adding seltzer to make a grape soda. I like that ordering is super quick, you can pay with Venmo or Zelle! I think just with the green grape chicken, I give this a 3.5, but I'm curious to come back and try their honey butter chicken! read more
I finally got to try their viral Korean fried chicken in Flushing. I ordered the combo meal: Korean fried chicken with grapes and the other with cheese and herb. I prefer the chicken with grapes more. I love the crispiness of their fried chicken and very flavorful. If I do have to recommend which one is better, it got to be the grape chicken. I like her they also have different choices and flavors. Service was quick. I wish inside was a bigger place for people to sit instead of just a few seating. But if you ever looking for a quick food snack, come check out Mimisa. I'll come back again to try their blueberry cream cheese chicken. read more
Absolutely blown away by the unique flavors at MIMISA. I knew about MIMISA because of the viral green grapes and fried chicken combo... but it's not what I came for. I came to see how I could eat Korean Fried Chicken differently from my typical soy garlic order. Lol. I was not disappointed! Before I get into everything, I did try the green grapes and chicken duo. There was a balance of sweet and sour and I can see why it's a big deal. Basically it was good but it wasn't what got me hype. What got me hype was that HONEY BUTTER fried chicken. What an experience... it's sweet, crispy, and makes you do a little dance. The next thing that got me excited was the blueberry cream cheese topping for the fried chicken. Not going to lie, I was scared that it wasn't going to work. Nah bro. It worked. It worked REALLY WELL. The chicken itself is seasoned so nicely that when you add on cream cheese and the blueberry, it doesn't take away from its flavor. If anything, the cream cheese and blueberry add a nice texture to your bite so that you're not just eating something crunchy... and of course, the blueberry adds a tartness to it. It's just magical. Definitely take a risk and explore these unique flavors. The fish cake... never had it until I had it at MIMISA. Rickey, the owner, explained to me that this is how they served fish cakes in wars; this is a delicacy and an iconic street food that you'd find in Korea. It was served with broth in a cup as well. Yeah... I can see why it's something that people love. For one, it's really good. Two, it's comforting... the warmth from the broth and the feeling it gives you inside when you take a bite. Just a *chef's kiss*! The tteokbokki is sooo cheesy and you're spoiled by how much you get. Another comforting dish. If you're looking for more food to get on top of Joe's steam rice rolls, but you don't want chicken, definitely get those two from here. I also want to give a shout-out to Rickey... he's a mastermind when it comes to combining flavors and giving people a Korean street food experience in Flushing. Forgive the photos, these things were so good I couldn't help but devour them before I could take a nice untarnished photo, but here they are half eaten, unkempt with sauce all over. It really was that good, I couldn't help myself, these combinations shouldn't really work, but oh man they worked so well. The blueberry cream cheese with chicken was incredible. Deep fried chicken with a hit of sweet whipped cream cheese and blue berry works so well. A nice savory crunch with sweet mixture. The garlic herb was really nice as well, it consisted of the same sweet cream cheese but with a cheese and herb topping instead, which also worked. It's hard to describe the combinations here, but this is one of the more unique things I've ever tried, definitely come here and give it a shot read more

We took a day trip from Connecticut to try the trending green grape Korean fried chicken! We really enjoyed this flavor combo, and they had so many interesting choices to pick from! The staff prepared our food quickly, and I appreciated that they had an area for us to sit. My fiancé really enjoys the Korean simmered rice cakes, so we had to order it! This was our first time having it with cheese and noodles, which was so good. Definitely a great first visit to Flushing and we enjoyed trying something new! read more
A small stall for korean fried chicken and snacks inside of a little food court. Very limited seating and it can get a bit crowded with all the small stalls inside. The owner was super nice and explained all their specialties, popular items, and recommendations patiently. We tried the viral green grape chicken- it came with the fried chicken bites and green grape sauce separately and some radish kimchi. We tried the chicken by itself and it was very good, very fresh and crispy. Combined with the sauce, it's kind of just like sweet and sour chicken. Finally tried the viral green grape Korean fried chicken and what an interesting combo of sweet and savory but they work so well together. It's boneless chicken. Chicken is juicy and crunchy. Not too much batter. Grapes were crunchy, sweet slightly tart. I poured half the green grapes and syrup onto the chicken and saved the other half to dip which I actually prefer. $14.50 cash Venmo or Zelle. Tucked inside a small hallway of restaurants. They have other items like rice cakes, fish cakes, selection of rice and noodles, and other fried chicken combos. I was craving fried chicken again the next week so I came back for their blueberry cream cheese ($15.50). I enjoyed it but I prefer the green grape combo a bit more for that tart sweet crunch. There are a few tables at the end of the hall if there's no more room in front of the shop. The second time I went there was room for us to sit by the shop. The owner was so nice he gave us some tteokbokki while waiting. Next on my list is honey butter chicken. If you want to try 2 chicken flavors at a time they have a saver combo. So far I've done one at a time since one alone is already pretty filling. read more

It seemed like they peeled the grapes as well which made the textures better. The place is one of several stalls within a small hall with limited seating in the back and at the counters. I feel like I came here on a bad day or had really high expectations lol Everyone talked about how good and unique the chicken here was so we got a quick snack & ordered the viral Green Grape Chicken. The chicken is a bit bigger than your usual popcorn chicken size and I will say, it is super fresh, juicy, and the breading is crunchy. But, I kid you not - the grape and the grape syrup that it is dunked in literally taste like Sprite LOL. The combination seriously tasted like I was eating Sprite-flavored chicken(?) Idk it was really confusing lol so I'm like,,, was it supposed to taste like that? Anyway, maybe I will come again and try other flavors because I do think the chicken is very tasty so other flavors might be tastier - also might consider trying out the green grape chicken again. read more

Mimisa was some of the best fried chicken I've ever had! The storefront is a little harder to find, as it is small and tucked into a food hall. However, the owner is very friendly, and he gave us advice on the offerings and what he thought might suit our palettes. We ended up trying the honey butter chicken, and the herb and cheese chicken. The honey butter was definitely our favorite - it was the perfect blend of savory and sweet, and I couldn't stop going back for more even though I was full. The herb and cheese chicken was good too, but we were a little surprised that the "cheese" seemed to be more of a mayo based mixture. Overall, the chicken was crispy and crunchy and came out piping hot! I cannot wait to visit again and try the others! read more

same crispy, flavor packed chicken you love, same great service -- just a new home in queens crossing. i tried their blueberry cream cheese flavor and it surprisingly works so well. they also have a huge variety of fun flavors like grape and corn cheese. honestly you can't go wrong with any of them. don't sleep on the sides either! fish cakes, rice cakes, fries, and dumplings make the perfect add ons. and you have to grab their grape juice; super refreshing and the perfect pairing with the chicken. can't make it out? no worries, they're available on fantuan, hungry panda, grubhub, uber eats, and doordash, so you can get your fix delivered straight to you. they've even won yelp awards, so this one's a must try read more

Found this place through Tik Tok, so I really wanted to try it because who would think grapes and chicken go together? I thought the chicken was amazing. The coating was super crispy, and the chicken was juicy and very well-seasoned. I will say I'm not sure I liked the combination of grapes and chicken though. I preferred to eat them separately because I don't think the flavors really merged well. But the grapes were soo fresh and crunchy. The person who worked there was so sweet! The grapes were cold and crunchy. Never thought that chicken and grape would make such a great combination. This place has so much potential for expanding! The owner is so passionate and kind! The first time we visited, he showed us a video of Mimisa chicken in Korea. The second time we visited, he showed us the same video, but also gave us free rice cakes. It's always so touching to see someone so dedicated to their craft. We got the Any 2 Flavor Chicken ($27.99) and from the times we went, tried the Green Grape Chicken, Honey Butter Chicken, and Cheese and Herb Chicken. The Cheese and Herb was nowhere as distinct as the other 2, but all 3 were worth trying. But as much as they are special unique flavors, the portion size was really minimal for the price. I wish their chicken pieces were bigger and juicier. They're more of bites to an appetizer than a meal. As a result, I keep wanting to come back to fully taste the flavors some more given the small portions. But I guess that's a good thing! read more
This is a nice hole in a wall spot that has 6 seats available so it's great for solo or small groups. We got the combo 2 which was around $27. We got the green grape, and herbs with cheese. The chicken was crispy and tender, I liked the green grape more but excited to try the other flavors since there are very interesting flavors that is not offered in flushing like wasabi mayo or blueberry cream cheese. The service is great too, the guy there seem passionate and made sure we know how to eat our chicken. I actually came here to try the green grape fried chicken but opted to get the cheese and herb chicken instead because the owner said that is the most popular one as well as the honey butter. The sauce comes on the side. it tasted kind of sweet yogurt-y not sure if it has cheese or herb flavor but it was quite different. The chicken pieces were all boneless and dark meat. I got my order fairly quick less than 5 mins and also they gave me complimentary tteoboki to try. It was quite tasty, soft and chewy. So the chicken was not like "omg" amazing but I did enjoy it. We saw many people posting this spot and decided to try it for ourselves. Once we got to the stand, the owner was extremely welcoming and told us the popular choices. We ordered their Combo Two, which came with two choices of chicken, and we chose the Sweet and Sour Grape Fried Chicken and the Herb and Cheese Fried Chicken. While waiting for our food, the owner told us that this was the first Korean grape fried chicken store in America and showed us a video about its origin in Korea. When we got our food, the owner gave us a complimentary cup of Dukbokki, which was delicious, a little sweet, and not too spicy. The food was delicious, and our favorite chicken was the grape one. The grapes themselves were also amazing and something we never tried before because of the sauce. The chicken was juicy and crispy as well. I saw of reel on ig about this grape on kfc. I had to come try it for myself. This spot has like 5 stools to sit in. Theres a lot of pictures on the walls so you can visually see their menu. When you come to the stall, the cashier greets you and ask if its your first time here. If you say yes, he will explain the popular stuff on the menu and the combos for you to try. I only had the chance to try the grape with chicken. There are a lot of other stuff like blueberry creme cheese on chicken. I will come back to try more. read more
I've been craving korean fried chicken and this spot definitely hit the spot. The fried chicken was boneless and so crispy. Everything was so delicious. The variety here is super unique. I loved the blueberry cream cheese sauce with the chicken. The chicken wasn't dry at all. If you want more savory, you should try the cheese and herb. The grape chicken was sweet and savory. I loved the fish cake as well. The soup it was in was so delicious especially in this cold weather. Highly recommend. read more

First time here and was blown away by the exceptional service from the staff. On top of that- he speaks English, Chinese and Korean . He recommended some items for us to try, and we ended up choosing the Honey Butter Chicken and Green Grape Chicken. He also gave us some tteokboki to try for free. It was the perfect mix of spiciness and sweetness. Honey Butter Chicken: 4/5 The flavor is subtle and not too salty. The skin is crispy and the chicken flavor is not lost in the oil. Green Grape Chicken: 3.5/5 By itself, It's missing something, perhaps just needs an additional sauce. But like the other one, the skin is crispy and taste is on the sweeter side due to the grape juice poured on top. It's located inside a food hall so beware of going during busy times as there's limited seating (around 6 stools.) The server also kindly offered for me to put my jacket behind the counter because it was on my lap. I'll definitely return to try their other special menu items like naengmyeon! read more

I finally got to try the viral korean popcorn chicken with the popular green grape and blueberry cream cheese fried chicken toppings They also serve matcha cream cheese, honey butter chicken, wasabi mayo onion and much more flovors! I'd say this place kept surprising me about how good the combos went together My fav dishes were green grape, blueberry cream cheese fried chicken, and dukbokki as I love the mixture of sweet & savory but also impressed with the classic dukbokki.
