I love how this shop has a bunch of interesting and weird chicken combos. Unfortunately I am not one who can get over the Green Grape Chicken so I decided to go for a safe combo this time around. I got the corn cheese chicken and the honey butter chicken and I would say they were both delicious! I think the only thing hay caught me off guard was that the breading was thicker than I expected. Usually Korean fried chicken has a much thinner breading but other than that, I loved how crispy and flavorful everything was. The cashier was super helpful as well and tried to help us as we were choosing our flavors as well as explaining their combos to us. Overall a very nice place to check out inside a food court. Hopefully I can get myself to try another crazy favor another day I'm around.
Finally got to try the fried chicken at Mimisa. I ordered the Combo 2 where you get to choose 2 flavors of chicken for $32. I ordered Blueberry Cream Cheese, and Corn Cheese. The fruity, sweet, buttery flavor from the blueberry cream cheese was definitely an interesting combo. I preferred the cheese corn. You can't go wrong with that. The chicken was crispy and flavorful even without the dip and the portion size was good. Was interested in their spin wheel where you pay $15 and you get a random chicken flavor. The staff was very friendly and informative. He gave us options on how we can mix and match our order, and let us see the food before packing it up. Would come back again to order other items.
4/5 Tteokbokki $11 (cheese $3 extra so &14 total)- missing fish cake but not spicy at all, was scared it was gonna be hella spicy cuz it's hella red, tastewise it's very different than any other tteokbokki I've had, can't quite specify how, just different in a good way 5/5 pickled jalapeno - so damn good, spicy, comes as a side with the tteokbokki 3/5 soy garlic chicken bento box $13- my friend said it's ok but she's not a fan of fried chicken 5/5 grape juice $3- def the best canned grape juice I've had, has actual grape chunks in it I'd go back for the grape juice, tteokbokki & pickled jalapeños
I'm so glad I got to try this spot, because it was actually my favorite meal during my trip to NY! It's located inside a food hall so there were plenty of seats available, and they offer a variety of unique and fun fried chicken flavors. We got the blueberry cream cheese, matcha cream cheese, and corn cheese chicken. Out of these, the blueberry cream cheese was by far my favorite. I was doubting the flavor profile but it works incredibly well together; the cream cheese dip was very light, similar to whipped cream, and added nice sweetness to the chicken. The chicken itself was juicy and lightly seasoned, which allowed the cream cheese to stand out. The matcha and corn cheese were good as well, but if you want to try a bolder flavor then I highly recommend the blueberry cream cheese! I will definitely be coming back if I'm ever in NY and would love to try their other fun flavors.

Randomly came across this place. I haven't been to queens crossing in a long time. It wasn't as lively as the past. The guy at the counter was very nice and enthusiastic. He asked if this was my first time and gave suggestions. I went with the butter chicken which was good. I thought it was expensive for the price but there was a lot of chicken for leftovers. I'd come back to try the other flavors
The green grape chicken was so good. I've been seeing this on social media for so long and I've been so intrigued by it so I knew I had to try it. I'm really happy I did because it was so unique. The grapes were so plump so sweet probably with some of the best grapes I've ever had. The chicken itself was really crunchy and juicy and I think that's the most important thing to a fried chicken together, it mixes really complementary and it's not too sweet. It is sugary and sweet, but it's not overbearing and this is as someone who doesn't love sweet stuff. I would definitely come back. This was so yummy.
Came here yesterday and honestly a go to spot on my Korean finds in flushing. My friend and I Had the honey butter chicken, fish cakes, dumplings, spicy fries and tteokbokki. The tteokbokki was not too spicy but packed with flavor, dumplings were juicy and the honey butter chicken was crispy and sweet with every bite. Gotta come back here again. Service was great as the owner gave awesome recommendations and the ambiance can be pretty lively. Gotta go back :)
Recently reopened in Queens Crossing Food Hall. They are at stall F4. Since it's in the food hall they share table seating, no seating of their own. They are still cash, zelle or venmo. It took 5-10 minutes for my order to be ready. They are on Grubhub and Fantuan but there is a bit of a price markup. I opted to finally try the menu item that got them viral - the green grape chicken. The chicken is as crispy and tender as before. The grapes are fresh, though the sweet artificial grape syrup is the prominent flavor. The coleslaw helps cut some of the sweetness. Definitely not my favorite flavor, but glad to have tried. I will personally stick to the Blueberry Cream Chicken. Happy to see them back after Landmark Quest Mall closed for renovations!
This place may seem like a gimmick with all the wacky flavors but the chicken here is actually quite good and flavorful. We ordered the Combo #1 with the blueberry cheesecake chicken, dukbokki and fish cakes. Like many people have said, the sweetness from the blueberry/fruit sauce and cream cheese somehow works well with the savoriness of the chicken. The dukbokki was good as well- it wasn't too chewy (which I liked) and tasted great with the cheese and fish cake on top. The staff was helpful and the food came out fairly quick. It's worth a stop if you're in the area and looking for something a little different!

Grapes and chicken?? Whatttttt? Uncalled for? Yeah that's what I thought too until I tried it. I was seriously impressed! Loved the combo of sweet and savory and don't get me started on the cheese one. Both are to die for! The chicken was soo crispy and the sauce was plentiful. It was straight up a dipping style sauce. The chicken was seasoned nicely and the sauces were delicious. I honestly would just get sauce so I can dip it on everything. Next time I'll try the blueberry cheesecake sauce cause that be sounding . The service was also immaculate the guy there, showed us videos of the famous chicken and he was so generous giving us a sample of spicy rice cakes. Located inside the small food/strip mall across new world mall. The strip mall itself is pretty small so this store isn't big as well. They have seating for up to 3-4 people on the right side of the mall once you enter. We got the Combo 1: fried chicken with sides of rice cake and fish cake. We chose the wasabi mayo onion chicken. The chicken is fried to order, nicely hot once you get your order. The owner was really nice, explained the menu to everyone and offered for us to try a bit of the chicken before we take it home lol. The batter is fairly light but still got a nice crunch. Love that they serve the sauce separately to keep the chicken crunchy. The sauce is actually way less spicy than expected, more like a hint of spice but still get the wasabi taste, which was ok bc the onion is raw so might be too much if it was spicy. Also sweeter than expected, but also pretty creamy. Pairs great with the chicken. Rice cake is not bad, given we went at the end of the day, had already sat there the whole day so the outer layer is slightly soggy but still not bad. It's a nice touch that they also provide radish and kimchi side dish even for take out. Overall, not bad at all! Great for a change of pace if you've been having saucy Korean chickens coated in sauce. This is lighter battered chicken and the sauce is light but still flavorful and creamy. read more

The green grape with chicken was one of my fav toppings because it was savory but with some juiciness & sweetness from the grapes. We got to try the blueberry cream cheese topping which was actually satisfying due to the creaminess and slight sweetness mixed with savory chicken. Last flavor we tried was the cheese&herb which was savory and creamy . All flavors were surprisingly very delicious and went well together ! They not only have fried chicken but also Korean street food like topokki & fishcake soup and other Korean dishes to try. The service here was very friendly and pleasant! Hidden Korean street food/snack shop located in a small food court in Flushing. Although their "Green Grape Fried Chicken" is the dish that went viral, I would highly recommend their "Honey Butter" and "Cheese & Herb" flavors for fried chicken instead. Not only was the chicken super crispy, but it was juicy as well. In addition to their unique chicken flavors, they have so many classic Korean street food dishes like tteokpokki and fish cake soup. New Korean fried chicken in the heart of downtown Flushing. If you can't make it all the way towards Murray hill then this is the spot for you. Mimisa is bringing new trendy flavors from Korea straight to flushing. When I went the person working (I assume is the owner) was telling me all about the food and the flavors such as the sweet green grape sauce or the savory wasabi mayo which we ended up getting. He was very friendly and took the time to talk us through the menu. Now onto the food. The chicken was fried wonderfully. Light crispy batter that didn't overwhelm the juicy boneless chicken. But the highlight of the meal was the sauce. The green grape was a hidden MVP for me. It had a subtle sweetness that complimented the chicken. A true salty sweet combo. The wasabi mayo with onion was a nice creamy sauce with the hint of wasabi to cut the grease of the friend chicken. The wasabi did not overpower which was key and cannot go wrong with the onion. The tteokbokki was great as well. More on the sweet side which I actually prefer. We got this later into the night but the tteok was still so firm and chewy. Great flavor, a classic. The chicken here is far from the best Korean fried chicken I've ever had. What elevates it is the varied toppings that you can get. There's interesting choices such as blueberry cream cheese and green grapes. Flavors that sound like they won't work but they do! It's what will bring me back to this place. For that, I say it's worth trying their crazy experiments. I'll be back here. As for the space itself. The restaurant is in a small cluttered space. It's actually a food stall with others nearby. There are seats at the stall and more seating in the back. The chef was friendly. He made recommendations and brought us our food. read more
Came on a Saturday afternoon and the place was super busy. There's 6 counter seats. Ordered a combo Green Grape Chicken and Honey Butter Chicken. Chicken came out hot and crispy. Super flavorful juicy chicken sprinkled with parsley. I liked how they served the green grape sauce on the side so the chicken didn't get soggy. Also comes with a side of pickled radishes. Honey Butter chicken was ok the real star was the green grape chicken. A serendipitous moment. This is newly opened inside the Landmark Quest Mall. I'm pleasantly surprised with the flavors they offer. Honey Butter and Green Grape both fall under the sweet category but vary greatly - I honestly didn't imagine fried chicken to be refreshing! They use chicken thigh so it's just juicy. The honey butter portion (on the left) might seem little because I couldn't hold but to eat almost half of it on my way home... the portion is actually really big for $15. read more

everyone on my feed has been hyping up the viral korean green grape fried chicken from mimisa, and y'all omggg it's actually worth the hype!! they're located in a small food court in flushing (right off of main street) and they serve korean street food staples like tteokbokki, rice cakes, and ofc their signature fried chicken with some of the most unique toppings i've seen. what we ordered (* = my faves): -tteokbokki (with fish cakes, cheese, ramyun, and egg) -fish cake skewers* -green grape fried chicken -honey butter fried chicken* -blueberry cream cheese fried chicken such a small but mighty shop run by the sweetest owner!! staring with tteokbokki and fish cakes was great because those were both sooo comforting. the tteokbokki wasn't super spicy, it was actually kind of sweet and i liked it a lot! the fish cake skewers were served with an amazing cozy hot broth which we inhaled!!! the main event was def the chicken. they have SO many flavors to choose from, and i'm amazed that we were able to limit ourselves to only three. the green grapes were fresh, sweet, and lightly sour which balanced out the crispy and juicy fried chicken very well. the blueberry cream cheese was a bit too rich for me, but the blueberries themselves were also very fresh! my ultimate favorite was the honey butter. if you're like me and love honey butter chips, i can pretty much guarantee you that you'll be a fan of this :) they're one of my new fave spots in flushing and next time, i'd love to try their wasabi/onion/mayo and cheese/herb dip flavors! read more

This is a perfect place to bring your friends if you are craving some fried chicken. I visited Mimisa for the first time with my friend and we tried some of their unique flavors such as the blueberry cream cheese and the wasabi mayo chicken. We were both pleasantly surprised at how well the each of the flavors mix with the fried chicken. They have other comfort foods such as dukbokki and ramen which were super cheesy and tasty. The staff is super friendly and you can always ask them for recommendations on the menu! read more

A few friends and I decided to try the viral green grape fried chicken on TikTok. Not sure how I felt about the grape sauce combo but the chicken itself is AMAZING. Super crisp exterior which moist and tender chicken inside. The owner was pretty friendly and also gave us a free sample of tteokboki. Overall, really happy we checked out this joint and hope to come back to try other food options like their cold noodles. read more

This place is inside of Landmark Quest Mall across New World Mall. Once you step inside, you'll find it on your right side. The sign might not catch your attention immediately, so keep an eye out for it. Owner provided great service and offered great recommendations on which flavor boneless chickens to try. We ended up ordering Green Grape Chicken and Wasabi Mayo Onion Chicken. 1. Green Grape Chicken - has a dessert-like vibe to it, offering a refreshing taste without being overly sweet. It's a great option for those who enjoy unique and light flavors. 2. Wasabi Mayo Onion Chicken - I personally like it due to its creamy texture and delightful taste. The worker here is super friendly & he really sold us on ordering chicken from here. He gave us a thorough recommendation of which flavors were popular as well. There is limited counter space here for dining in, but we were here on a thursday late afternoon so there was no one else dining here. I ordered the green grape chicken because it looked interesting & I was quite surprised. The flavor of the green grape syrup kind of reminds me of a sweet and tart plum flavor, but it wasn't too strong. It actually paired quite nice with the chicken, which was perfectly fried & still juicy inside. I chose to dip my chicken into the syrup cause I didn't want everything to get soggy since I wasn't going to eat the whole thing at once. My friend got the honey butter chicken, which she said was quite good as well. The chicken is $14.50, which seemed steep, but it's actually a pretty large amount of chicken. The chicken does come with radish, but I wish maybe a small rice would be nice. My friend ordered a rice on the side since she felt weird just eating chicken alone. There are two combos you could do that were around $28, but they seemed like way too much food for one person, so if you share it would be a good deal. I would definitely recommend to do that if you come with two or more people. The worker also gave us a complimentary small cup of dukbokki, which was so nice of him! yes yes yes!!! this is the place i wanted to go to soooooo badly when i found out about it when i was in flushing last time but we just got filled up wayyyy too quickly. so like. unforch we had to leave... BUT after our cat cafe and gatcha escapade where we won a claw machine game, we finally walked over here. omg the owners are korean so my friend got to put their korean to use. i bet they felt so helpful for once in their life. anyways i thought we were getting the green grape one and the blueberry cream cheese one but my friend was like i want cold noodles and got that and i was like bruh ok. and read the reviews and everyone said they liked the blueberry cream cheese better than the green grape so i listened and got the blueberry cream cheese. and WOW. it was not just the sauce. the actual CHICKEN itself was so so so buss. like it was so flavorful and hot and like just the right amount of crunchy. like even without the sauce i would have ate that up my GODDDD. actually such a good experience. seating is a bit tight since it is in a food court. but so worth. i will be back for sure! i will bring everyone here. it's so freaking good omg. i want to try the corn cheese chicken next plsss. 5 stars! read more

I saw the green grapes fried chicken on tik tok and knew I had to come here to try it. This hole in the wall spot is located inside a food mall with limited seatings. All the seats were taken when I came, but we found an unoccupied table all the way in the back. We ordered the green grapes chicken and cold noodles to stay. The owner was very kind and gave us some complimentary spicy rice cake that was delicious. He only accepts cash or venmo btw! Green grapes chicken- Surprisingly really good! It comes with a container of sweet grape syrup and green grapes that you can pour over your chicken or dip it in. Think of it as eating chicken with honey. 5/5 Cold noodles- Very refreshing cold noodles! Not the best ones I've had as it lacks a bit of flavor. 3/5 Overall, they have some good food but of course chicken is their specialty. You also can't beat the price that they have here vs eating at ktown or restaurants nearby. Definitely give this place a try. Tucked away in a small food court, Mimisa serves up delicious varieties of fried chicken. I love how the chicken is boneless so it's super easy to eat and share~ was recommended the green grape and the blueberry cream cheese. I personally enjoy the blueberry cream cheese more as the sweet creaminess goes really well with the crunchy chicken. The tteokbokki had a unique flavor compared to other Korean restaurants as they use red pepper flakes only instead of red pepper paste. The flavor in my opinion is more mild and sweet which I enjoy along with the thick slab of mozzarella cheese overtop def come check them out for fried chicken like you've never had before! read more
Tried this for the first time the other day and I am hooked! The owner was very kind and offered some suggestions regarding what to get. I took his suggestion and got the honey butter fried chicken. It was served with a small slice of butter so I thought that was all the butter I would get. I tried my best to spread the butter all over the pieces but only got about half. I was happy to find out that the pieces were drenched in buttery deliciousness. I really enjoyed the sweetness of the honey with the salty and richness of the butter. Despite being drenched in the sauce, the chicken was nice and crispy. I shared this with one other person and it was enough for the both of us. Each order comes with 18-20 pieces for about $15. Very reasonable and they even gave us a complementary cup of tteokbokki! Definitely want to come back to try some of their more unique flavors like green grape and matcha cream. read more
