The guy who did my toes rushed the entire process and was not hospitable. For one, they're apparently not doing the spa packages ( callous remover, exfoliant, warm towel ect.) " due to covid" but instead they're charging each additional service individually.. that didn't make sense to me. On top of that, the man didn't even put on gloves until I mentioned he should..The gel nail polish isn't even or neat. This really looks like I did it. I'm giving 5 stars because there's no way in this world that this place deserves 3 stars, ONLY!? it made me sad lol, seriously! This place is right across my work, Beverly Center mall... a lot of times I stop by to get my nails done during my lunch or right before going to work and only having 40 minutes! and there is ALWAYS someone available to get you started right away, I love that. Normally they have 5-6 people working, I understand that sometimes you might get someone that is not as good in getting your nails done as the one you tried out before, but mostly I'm happy with all of them, yes I've tried them all! When it came time to cut the nails she said its $5 extra for "long nails", mind you, their average length! These ladies (and one dude) don't play! No chit chat, no upsell, just services done for an exchange of money. i like it. For $23, I opted to save $5 and go the tub route... also heard it was much safer in terms of contamination/nail ickies, so yay. Their polish may not be nicely displayed, but I quickly found two complimentary shades and immediately sat down. -1 star for that awkward body twist where you're rotated 90 degrees to get the mani done at the same time as the pedi. But the place is tiny and packed, so you do what you gotta do. I'm in a perma rush, so to be in/out in exactly 30 minutes is a huge win for me. Parking lot is in one way ingress/egress situation so that's kind of annoying, but it's right next to a dangerous amount of shopping, so another plus... I think. read more

Alright look, this place is no frills. I mean, really no frills. Some people have a bedroom as big as this whole joint. Only like 4 mani stations and 2 spa pedi chairs. Whatever, I needed a mani/pedi so badly that I hightailed it into this place like Elle Woods did in Legally Blonde. I set my expectations low because I generally like places that are a little more spa-like. But for a $28 spa mani/pedi, I figured I'd give it a whirl. Did I mention this was a defcon 5 nail situation? The guy (Don?) did my pedicure. I thought things were moving along alright and then a customer came in. This chick was obviously a regular of his because she came over, said hello and gave him a long stare. I wanted to ask if I should just get out of the chair and let her take it, but he told her it would be just a few minutes. Few minutes? We'd just started the pedi and still had a mani to go? He sped through the pedicure, and while the results aren't bad, the experience wasn't great. There was really no massage or anything, and I didn't leave with silky-soft feet. I'm going to have to touch up with my pumice in the morning, grrrr. So then he leaps up and rushes over to princess loyal customer and I'm left sitting there, when a second person comes over and she's going to do my manicure. Ooookay. I was still a little on guard and I won't lie I couldn't help but be thinking 2 things: 1. I have to yelp about this when I get home and 2. please don't cut me. She breezed through the manicure and then got up and went to another customer aaaand a third person comes over to do my polish. Fine, whatever, you guys get ONE tip on the total bill, I'm not handing out cash to every employee here. I just prefer one person do the job or tell me what the heck is going on. The salon itself was QUIET, as in there is a tv on with no sound and no music playing. So I was a little irritated with the musical chairs situation with the manicurists AND I had a Kesha song stuck in my head with nothing on to distract me from it. All in all though, and oddly enough, my nails look really good. We'll see how they hold up. I wish there was something good i can say about this place but this was the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. I waited here for 35 mins before anyone even acknowledged me. I felt invisible. They kept telling me 5 more minutes. Honestly, I felt like an idiot for not leaving. I ended up waiting a total of 55 minutes before they even got me in the chair. I wanted a spa mani & pedi. When I finally got in the chair I felt so rushed. My massage lasted a total of 10 seconds. The girl doing my toes really hurt my toe. She was digging in. My toe is so sore now that I can only wear open toe shoes until it gets better. The place is tiny and hot. There are so many better places to go in LA. Dont waste your time OR money here. read more

So it's a decent place and cheap for the area. I paid $35 for the spa pedicure with gel. It's extremely small. Only two pedicure chairs and five manicure stations. Most people while I was there, I waited an hour and a half just for someone to start working on me, everyone was getting their pedicure out of tubs that the people brought to them. I don't recommend getting the spa pedicure. It's a waist of 5 dollars. She did nothing different other than use a hot towel. When it came to scrubbing my feet she did it for literally 30 seconds each foot. I asked for her to do it again cause I could still feel dead skin and she rolled her eyes and barely scrubbed. It's frustrating because as a paying customer at a service based business, I'm paying them to do this. I don't understand the big deal. I want my feet to look smooth. She didn't scrub more even after I asked. She said she knew what she was doing. And then when it came to shaping my nails, she made my right big toe nail crooked. I asked her to make it straight, she said my toe nail grows crooked. Which is false because I've been getting pedicures since I was ten. Never have my toe nails looked crooked! I could tell she was talking to her friend about me cause they both kept looking at me and talking in their native language. Will I come back? Most definitely not. Should you come here? This place is good enough. I only really come here on my lunch break if I need a color change (my regular place isn't walking distance). They do a pretty good job and always seem to be busy so I think they have some pretty loyal customers. My major complaint is that they don't have a great color selection. I know it's a small salon, but they need to up their game on their colors because they have a lot of dark reds and purples and not a lot in between. Their prices are decent, but just as a heads up they charge you $1 if you need to use your debit/cc card. Not posted anywhere so just bring cash. read more

I'm a loyal customer here for about 5 years now. Carrie is the owner. She is very hands-on. She does great waxing and gel manicure. In addition to Carrie, my favorite girl here is Cindy, who does the waxing and french tip pedicure really well. She left in mid-2013 but I'm glad she came back to this place before the year ended. She does the best waxing on this side of La Cienega! Lol! Yep, she is the best! She also gives me good rates all the time. Tiffany is also very meticulous. Jenny does good work. A few times that I was not happy about the job, I told Jenny or Carrie about it and they made sure the bubble on the polish or the crack on the tip was fixed before I left. I do miss Sue and Don, who used to work here. They did excellent work for mani/pedi. Anyway, I did notice that what Mimosa charges me for wax keeps changing. But overall, it is reasonable compared to other Beverly Hills nail shops. My roommate took me here for the first time today and now I will not go anywhere else. 1. Everyone was SO nice!! They kept asking if everything was okay and made sure I liked the polish. I did glitter gel so I needed a lot of coats and they didn't stop until I was perfectly pleased with the results. 2. They were also so nice to my yorkie who was with me! The last time I went to Pampered Hands on Melrose they made me put her on the floor and then told me not to bring her back. They were so rude there! 3. $37 for a gel maniture and spa pedicure!!!! Oh my gosh!! AMAZING!!! I paid $60 at Pampered Hands!! 4. Free parking in the lot right out front! 5. The accept credit cards for the payment AND the tip!!!!!! Very happy I stumbled across Mimosa Nails while running errands last Sunday-- I am VERY impressed and will definitely be going back. While driving by, I called to see what their pricing for a basic pedicure was, and whether or not they had availability. Turns out I was able to walk right in, and a normal pedicure was $15. Mani/pedis are $23-- super affordable-- and there were plenty of OPI & Essie colors to choose from! The girl who did my nails was lovely, was able to get me in and out as I was in a hurry but did not compromise the quality. I was pleased to discover she used quick dry on my nails so I didn't have to wait forever for them to dry. It's been a week and my nails still look perfect. I booked an appointment for 6 and they made me wait 1 hour ... she did my pedicure in the waiting area seats in 10 mins and left me to have my toe nails air dry! My nail shapes are uneven, I asked for a full set of short coffin & I got a mixture of coffin & just square shape. The acrylic is bumpy/lumpy on my nails, not smooth at all. 6 of my 10 nails/cuticles are cut up, so painful. My pedicure...my pinky toe nail had broke the day before so I asked if she could basically glue it down or make a new 1....she glued it with nail glue & barely gave it time to dry before she started filing it which then made the nail break off even more & made it super painful. She finally used acrylic to get it together but it took her 3 times before it was done b/c she kept filing too early & too roughly. I got my toes done Monday, today is Wednesday & my pinky toe is still in pain. The mail has also officially fallen off...part of it I'm sure is because it was broken in general but I also feel like she tore it off more with the rough filing so now my whole toe nail is missing. The staff was nice but poor execution on their work. I more than likely won't be back unless it's for strictly gel on my natural nails, not a full set! read more

I loved this place for my first time there. It's not some fancy schmancy place but rather a small hole in the wall place that's still filled with people who know what they're doing. I had Don who was this sweet little man that loves talking about beer and food! He's very friendly and extremely sweet and did a great job with my nails. He was super quick, shaped it right (despite me being pretty picky) and charged pretty cheap compared to other places. Only complaint is polish being applied a teeny bit uneven on a nail or two but that's just me being nitty gritty. Fantastic place and totally coming back for the great service. I usually don't write reviews but they f@$k'd up my feet so bad I can't even stand or walk! I'm not kidding! It's so hard for me not to curse word after word in this review! Both of my feet have yellow puss oozing out from two nails because the lady cut my nails too short and cut past the beds of my toenails!! It didn't hurt the time she was doing it but the next day my feet were throbbing even while I slept! Two days later they turned a purple bruised color then yellow puss started oozing out! I had to squeeze it out and now my flesh is exposed and it stings so bad to put socks and shoes on! I can barely walk! And I have a stand up job! They ruined my entire week! I paid to get some kinda infection?! And pain on my toes! I give them one star because they did an excellent job on my fingers nails and I wanted to go back and also I have to put at least one star but my toenails/pedicure is the pedicure from hell!!!
