My favorite part of the meal was the hash browns, which were essentially the texture and flavor of the crunchy bits in the bottom of your order of McDonalds French fries (aka the best part). To had the crab cakes with GF pancakes. The crab cakes were a bit small, but pared well with the pancakes. Strangely, the GF pancakes alone (with syrup) were much less appetizing. I did enjoy the selection of hot sauces, including a local brand. The decor is very cute and modern. The music is a bit loud (would not take someone here who is hard of hearing). Overall, I found the meal to be a bit expensive for what it was, however, I would be willing to return to try something different. read more

They were delicious. First time trying a peach mimosas and won't be my last. For me, I ordered their avocado toast with a sunny side up egg and potatoes. No lie, this was one of the best avocado toast I've ever had. The egg was made to perfection + the arugula + heirloom tomatoes + champagne vinaigrette! This little gem is hidden away in five points but don't let that stop you from getting in your bike and peddling over here at top speed. Near the light rail stop and right on Welton Street in a recently redeveloped space that feels like a new build. This location has a great patio setting that looks to accommodate about 32 people reasonably for covid purposes. It's got a big tent, heaters and great deco to make you feel right at home. It's cozy inside with a full view of what's happening the kitchen! We coffee and a latte. They were a tad short on nondairy options but we made due when they discovered they had almond milk in the cupboard. I had chicken and waffles which is a small waffle and a three pieces of their house made fried chicken which is absolutely worth a return visit all in its own. So damn good!! The special recipe makes this the center piece of this meal. Add two eggs any style and some fruit and I was stuffed. The special of the day was the steakhouse omelette which was reminiscent of a Philly cheesesteak...delivered in eggs. The service was slightly above average and she comped us a latte when they found the almond milk so kudos for that. Not surprisingly, by 9:30 all the locals had surfaced from their Friday night haze and packed the empty seats with hungry belly's! Touchless payment option makes me really happy. Pay when I'm ready and out we go! Mimosas is walking distance from our home downtown and we are already planning a return with friends and family. Very cute place. I take a star off because the food was lackluster. There was no seasoning on anything!! My husband ordered the steak and eggs are said the steak was dry and tough. After scouring Yelp reviews for a great brunch spot I narrowed it down to Mimosas and I'm so glad I did! I started with a Boujee mimosa - all mimosas were $5 all day M-F (I believe it was M-F, don't quote me on that!) I ordered the mimosa toast, but Gabe, my server asked if I wanted a suggestion. He pointed to an order of mimosa toast at a neighboring table and said, "It's really big - there are three pieces of toast and it's $18. If you get a side of our mimosa toast you get two pieces of toast for $6 and I promise it will fill you up!" Not sure if we caught them on an off day but ordered take out, said it would 20 so we got there on time. Still waited 20 minutes for our food. Once home (only 7 minutes away) everything was ice cold - like it had been sitting around for close to 30 minutes... They need to work on their to-go process and packaging. I was disappointed in my experience here after seeing such high reviews. We started with the fried green tomatoes which were actually really good. But then it went downhill from there .. my friends ordered the biscuits and gravy with the country gravy cause they don't eat meat. The gravy tasted like actually nothing. No flavor of any seasoning whatsoever. We told the waitress and she said ok but then didn't offer to get them something else or comp it. Love love this place. Had a fabulous brunch this morning. Super glad we made reservations ahead of time I saw a line growing at the door when we left. We sat outside which was nice at first but the heater they had going was set a little too high and between that the music the acoustics weren't great so a little hard to hear people at the table.
