First time here, loved the sushi. Was with three young men, they loved it (called it best sushi of their life). Fast and super friendly.

The sushi is fresh, the special rolls are creative, and the price is right! The Minemura Supreme roll is our go to, as well as various nigiri sushi (tuna, salmon, ebi, hokkiai) and a nice hot chicken teriyaki! The gyoza are always crunchy and fresh and the dipping sauce slightly salty and spicy (in all the right ways) we have ordered from here a few times and always been happy. I ordered some food on uber eats. Was informed it would be approximately a hour, no problem there, when it was over 90 m8ns I called to see what was going on I was informed the delivery driver went to the wrong place and that it would be another 40 mins to deliver, but then the food wouldn't be fresh and they suggested I cancel and they would refund my payment. It wasn't their fault so I walked to their restaurant and reordered the food at almost double what uber eats charged plus I tipped cause they were fast at getting g our food. That was a week ago and still no refund. Food was good though. You're getting a 1 star for the non refund. read more

None of the staff members were wearing masks. My takeout was served in styrofoam containers and my scorching hot miso soup had plastic wrap under the lid (had to toss it because plastic wrap is not heat-safe). In North Van, it's quite hard to find good Japanese restaurants. Usually they're good but over time when it lacks the lustre it once had. I've been doing take out from quite a few places in the area and found that they were ok and nothing special. Recently I've read reviews on one of my go-to restaurants having not so fresh fish, so I decided to search for a new one. The other sushi restaurants in Lower Lonsdale were good but I felt like I wasn't getting any value for my money. Then, boom! this restaurant popped up on my radar. I have passed by this restaurant a couple of times and when I saw reviews and some pictures, I decided to check it out. And boy, I was very satisfied. The place is clean and bright and can seat approximately 20+ people or so. The server was attentive and sweet and the chefs behind the counter were very attentive as well. You can tell that they enjoy doing what they do! The sashimi was fresh and the sushi rolls were so good. We tried the beef sushi, and it was like a party in my mouth! My bf was a bit hesitant at first about trying this piece and was pleasantly surprised and is now planning to order more pieces of this sushi in the future! Definitely would come back again and again and hope that they have more new items to try. read more

Minemura is a refreshing Japanese restaurant that seems to really take pride in both the service and the dishes the chefs prepare. I have eaten at Minemura twice since it has opened as well as ordered takeout, and every time I has been consistently fresh, delicious, beautiful to look at, and surprisingly affordable! I came here on on my North Van days with one of my friends for some healthy eating. The menu is very extensive and great box specials, however, I stuck to my regular avocado sushi with no mayo and a veggie roll. The rolls came out in a timely manner and they were wrapped nicely. This is the place to go to if you want sushi. Reasonably priced, excellent service, and excellent food. Do yourself a favor and get the karaage chicken, It is by far the best karaage chicken I've ever had. The sushi was also really good. I love sushi, no like I LOVE sushi, and this place is my favourite on the north shore. I stumbled across this place on doordash after my favourite pho place cancelled the order. Talk about serendipity, this place is so good! The veggie sushi combo is packed full of avocado and inari and is a serious ticket to flavour town. The terryaki tofu is amazing as well, they definitely know how to handle tofu unlike some other local joints. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try. read more

This is undeniably the best sushi place I've ever been to. I used to go a lot before they redid their menu, the sushi was always so well priced and fresh, but now after they've included miso soup, edamame, and an orange they haven't changed their prices and I think that best describes how kind and attentive the staff are. Every time I go in here I feel like a celebrity eating at a 5 star restaurant, for example, during my meal today I hadn't dropped my chopstick for more than three seconds and the girl at the cash register had another one for me ready.
