Food delivery was fast and Food was delicious. Sweet and sour chicken, huge pieces of chicken, General Tso fresh and delicious!!

Ming dynasty; I read reviews and listened to many people about this place who all said you must try this place, it's great. I did with high expectations, but I didn't come to the same conclusion. Okay, here we go. For starters, the egg rolls were very peppery for some strange reason, so much so I couldn't taste anything else, and it was the smallest egg roll I've ever seen. I have seen bigger tootsie rolls. #2 The wonton soup was edible "just edible". #3 Pork Fried Rice was missing carrots, eggs and it would take a search party to find the 8 peas and the few pieces of pork, pork that was clearly near the end of its shelf life. #4 Spare ribs were the largest bone ribs with the least amount of meat. It was basically a barbecued flavored bone. "WTF". #4 Vegetable Egg Foo Young was good despite the absence of beans, carrots, mushrooms, peas, peppers and onions. Maybe the name should be changed to Broccoli Egg Foo Young because that all that was in it. #5 The pan fried dumplings were good. #6 The General Tso's Chicken, what a disaster. Once I got passed the weird tasting doughy breading, the chicken wasn't much better. A few mouthfuls and straight into the garbage bin along with everything else. This disaster of a meal left my wallet $62.22 short and left a nasty ass lingering taste. Needless to say, I will not return. read more

I ordered delivery after 9pm and was very surprised with how great the food is AND huge portions! They finished the night strong (sometimes weary of ordering close to closing). The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is bc the driver wanted me to come down to the driveway and when I order delivery and tip i prefer it to be brought to my door! Delish! The quality of the food here has gone downhill badly. We actually ended up just throwing it all out.

Prices where average with large portions. Orange Beef was somewhat tough and thin. Bourbon chicken tasted like chicken, but little bourbon flavoring. Fortune cookies where not crispy, which is what happens when they get old and absorb moisture. The store is on 951 but it has little to no curb appeal in that small strip. There is no place to sit and little to stand, just a counter with the kitchen and office behind. Call for a delivery and avoid picking it up yourself. Overall the food is on the bland side, well cooked, just not that tasty. We loved China Pavilion's food but they closed down. We'll keep looking. read more

Finally tried this place after hearing good things for the past few years. Total hole in the wall, take out only, but I don't care about that. I only ordered eggrolls and shrimp lo mein, but it was all better than I've had anyplace else in Naples. Last month I'd gotten takeout from Panda Pavillion (used to be good), but it was so bad that we threw the entire order away. I'm thrilled to have a decent Chinese place in town, AND less that 10 minutes from home! Definitely will be back for more and to try other things read more

This place is always amazing. They have been around forever. They are take out and delivery only, no where to sit. They are always busy and give you a time with either take out or delivery and are always done way before the time they give you even if it is deli every. Their food is not prepaid, all hand made and delicious. They don't skimp either with great portions to where two people could eat a combo meal. I highly suggest Ming Dynasty. read more

Scary looking location, good food. The whole strip this place is located in needs to be knocked down, blown up, whatever- and rebuilt. Seriously its an eyesore (kinda like the old Nana's location that burned down one night...) Food is usually good with large portions. They deliver which is great. They also have Chinee donuts, which are little fried dough balls dredged in sugar. Add that to your sugar chicken -I mean general tso's, and fried rice, and you have an impending heart attack and full belly. Delicious! read more

We order food from Ming Dynasty for work lunches every so often and it always gets good reviews back at the office. There is no seating, but the carryout is quick and always accurate. The portions are rather large...be prepared to enjoy your meal the next day as well. It doesn't look impressive from the outside, but give them a chance. The food is really quite good! read more

Love this place! Found our Sunday night take out place! We tried most Chinese places all over Naples and nothing compared to the food back up north. This place is the closest to making Kung Poa chicken and shezhuan chicken the way we like it! Chicken is tender and juicy and the portions were great. Would love it if they can substitute brown rice. This was the worst meal in 40 years of eating Chinese food. Could not eat the pork with garlic sauce.

Food was fresh and plentiful! We ordered a little of everything but I only had the shrimp fried rice which was flavorful and the shrimp with mixed vegetables which were delicious and there weren't 1-2 pieces of shrimp, there were quite a few. The crab rangoon wasn't my favorite thing but everyone else enjoyed them. Overall good Chinese food for a rainy night in! read more

Oh wow Excellent food. Don't let the derelict atmosphere scare you; this place is awesome and efficient. FYI order delivery. Average menu, fresh ingredients, and fast delivery. I ordered for 5 people and we were pleasantly surprised at the price and quality of the food. We shared dishes. Beef and broccoli was awesome, good crab rangoon and sweet&sour chicken was delicious. Ive been living in the area for over 7 years now...I can't believe I just tried this place. It's really good. Prices are very reasonable, vegetables are fresh and cooked just right, fried rice is awesome. Beef with vegetables was tender and the sauce was delicious. We asked for extra spicy general Tso's and they actually did it. The plaza this place is in looks dodgy and crappy as hell. (I think that's why I avoided it for so long.) I wouldn't want to find myself here or even stop and pick up. But ask for delivery and you will not be disappointed. Not your average tasteless Chinese takeout from SWFL. read more

Okay, I decided to give this place a second chance and placed an order for shrimp and broccoli. Unlike the last time, the broccoli was fresh and edible BUT... the entire dish was flavorless. It seems they steamed the shrimp/broccoli but instead of using the usual brown sauce, they just added a bit of cornstarch to the water they'd steamed in. The result was a watery, tasteless sauce over bland shrimp/broccoli that even a packet of soy sauce couldn't help! read more

Ming Dynasty has been one of our two go-to Chinese restaurants in Naples and, until today, we had always been satisfied with the food. When we got home we discovered that MD had omitted one item from our carry out order. Our order included two quarts of chicken fried rice which we threw away. It was white rice with a large amount of soy sauce, a few vegetables and a very few pieces of chicken. It did not appear that the rice was stir fried with any eggs. We have gotten take out there many many times and I simply forgot to put a review for this hole in the wall establishment. First of all its just that a hole in the wall with no seating take out only. We have tried Chinese food many places and found this is the closest to up north style cooking. We order fried rice and some beef and mixed veggies or lo mien and a bunch of appetizers chick fingers, egg rolls, teriyaki beef, etc and in all honestly we have not gotten a bad order to date and have ordered food there at least 50 times over the years. Portions a huge price is very good and as far as I am concerned always good. I have had people ask me where I got the great Chinese food that I serve at special events and I tell the Ming Dynasty so far no one has complained. This place never disappoints. Not only is the food delicious and fresh, but their delivery is super fast. I tried their chop suey today for the first time and it was just as good as their other dishes. I highly recommend The Orange chicken and beef and broccoli. The delivery driver who also happens to be the manager is a thief. I mistakenly gave him an extra $20 and when I noticed what I did an hour later I tried to call back to explain the situation and he refused to help me and gave me attitude. Pure takeout with mostly quart selections to my chagrin. I will say this... They work hard and fast to get a quality product out there. I have tried a few things thus far and made a wife happy. Wanton soup is brothy and wantons are full of flavor. Best part...delicious pork at the bottom rather than dried scallions floating atop as their competitors offers. Egg rolls are larger than their competitors and crispy delicious.. Another best feature... 2oz cups of duck sauce and mustard. No asking, you just get it. Beef and string beans was well done beans and sauce dark and the beef was yet tender and delicate. This was a great dish both times. Not stingy with the rice... This made a difference for us.. Soft and tasty. Chow mein was more shredded but still awesome. Here is where. I am confused. I love house made fried noodles and theirs are great. Yet I also got some cheapy canned stuff that perhaps the market demands in this region. Both are good but preferences will be requested from here on in. Love my home fried noodles.. Pure NY style with the best offered. This place with my early reviews is really good. I will explore the menu for a long while. It's in a bad place next to bad places... I tried to place an order over the phone, and after giving my credit card number, the security code, and, expiration date, I was asked to provide the billing address. This is NOT necessary information to share when placing an order for delivery, so I declined. The man argued with me saying that they are a restaurant and wouldn't "lie" to me, which was strange as I had not accused anyone of telling lies, and had only tried to cancel my order. Ok so I still think this place has very good food. Good portions. Good prices. BUT, what I don't like is the rude white tall lady that delivers. So my friend ordered us some food for delivery. My friend did not open the door, I did! She RIGHT AWAY hands me the reciept and pen (No HELLO HOW ARE YOU, YOUR TOTAL IS so and so) And so I sign the reciept, because I had permission to, but I didnt put a tip there, why, because it's not my money AND I usually give cash tips. BUT THIS DAY, oh let me tell you about THIS DAY... right after signing, I gave back the reciept trying to hurry up to put down the food so I could get at least a few bucks, BUT she responds with "You have to fill it ALL out" (which she was meaning the Tip and Total line) so I put the amount and 0 on tip, because I was going to give her cash either way. And when I return back the reciept she turns around very quickly and says under her breath, (but obviously loud enough so I could hear it) "YEAH THANKS FOR THE TIP" lol... Maybe if she had more patience and a better attitude, she could have had her tip that she was oh so upset about. I've worked in places where we accept tips, but never once did I complain to every customer that didn't tip me and never was I so pushy. Some days are good and some days are bad, but I was always grateful to have a paycheck at the end of the week or every other week. And TRUST ME my situation was NOT GOOD. Ming Dynasty is hands down the best Chinese food in Naples. This is one of the only chinese places that I know of that has Brown fried rice - the way it should be. Not yellow (isnt that spanish rice?) The food is always great and the portions are huge. They even make their own duck sauce just like you get up north. We order from Ming dynasty a few times a month and its always great. 10 minutes from the time you call your order will be waiting for you. They deliver too, but we are just outside of the delivery area unfortunately. I pass 2 chinese restaurants to get to this one. read more
