Top dish in JC region. Cut lobster pieces w lots o ginger sauce. It's a bit messy as it's finger food w the shells but worth the flavors.

This time I learned the dumplings are homemade so tried them--it was fantastic, as in nyc fantastic. The dumpling skin was not too thick or thin and the pork ginger goodness filling was bursting w flavor. Then we ordered what I consider the best seafood dish in the area, lobster w ginger scallions--great to share. So glad we have this option here in JC. The service was w care although because of the recent article in the paper raving about this place increased patronage but worth the wait.

Ming's Asian Cuisine is Chinese-Owned by a student that once went to ETSU. If you're looking for an AUTHENTIC dish experience, this is the place for you. They're also very flexible and CATER their menu to an American Palate as well (which in big cities, you won't find that at authentic locations. It's very generous). If you're American, and you order something culturally different and then rate this location poorly, you should feel ashamed. Obviously, different cultures have different preferences and taste palates. Chinese traditional food is not meant to cater to your narrow minded American perceptions. Leave the business alone, allow this KIND, LOCAL business to thrive, and simply GO ELSEWHERE. Don't make the employees and owner suffer for your mistake of chosing a location that simply isn't a match for you. Don't write an invalid, inconsiderate and closed minded review. Things you should know: I. LOCATION Easy to find and parking is convenient. II. SERVICE No complaints. It was excellent for me. My waitress was very attentive. Don't forget this is a COLLEGE TOWN so if the server isn't the most supreme, well... They're likely a college student trying to make ends meet and jungle their study life. Or they're newly trained--there's a global pandemic people. Be human. Be kind. Local businesses need this more than anything right now. III. QUALITY No complaints. Everything was fresh.

So my husband, daughter and I ate here tonight for the first time . I have to say it was a little underwhelming. The sushi is not priced right for what you get. These rolls were in the $12 - $15 range each. The rolls are not bad tasting but also not super tasting either. What made the low stars is the size. They put a very thin layer of rice so they come out super small. Very disappointing. The servers were nice but you can tell the owners are cheap! No complementary soup, wontons or anything for the table which is very odd. That with the size of sushi rolls tells me they are cheap. I know they don't have a lot of competition so I'm sure that's why. Anyways I'm giving this place three stars as I feel this is generous. I might come back and try the entrees but definitely not the sushi. Oh and the say there is fresh king crab on the snow mountain roll and there might be some but there is NO WAY you would take fresh crab and mush it up and spread it on top...... it's a mix of fresh and imitation for sure..... which is inexcusable considering the price of $15. We should have gone and had a steak dinner for the price ..... we left a bit hungry and not satisfied.

Where to start? Our server was fine. This review is not based off her service. Husband ordered Teriyaki Chicken. How could it go wrong? It was uncooked. Texture was similar to cooked ham. I immediately lost my appetite when I took a bite to see what he was talking about. Which made my shrimp in lobster sauce inedible afterwards. We tried this place out because we heard good things. When asked if we needed to-go boxes and we refused, the lady offering quickly grew an attitude. Sorry! If the food was good, then we would've 1) finished it or 2) asked for to-go boxes. Disgusting. Ate here. Over it. At least my Oolong tea was good and the restaurant appeared to be clean that's why I give it 2 stars.

It is hit-and-miss. Sometimes good but sometimes the food tastes mediocre and days old.

Awful! Fried rice tasted burnt and smoked. Crispy wonton for soup was stale. All other was below average. Find a new place! Bad food!

The restaurant was not busy at this time - a few patrons at the bar and a few tables occupied. We were sat, greeted and served quickly. Upstairs featured seating near floor to ceiling windows which created a fun ambiance. There were a lot of wooden details in the decor that really made the place pop and feel more fun. The food was good. I really enjoyed the fish tacos and all the flavors in the toppings. It was also nice to see salmon tacos versus a fried white fish or tilapia. The house made queso is good goooood!! My daughter and I really enjoyed it. Their menu was so big between Asian and Mexican dishes it was a bit overwhelming. I think I would try another restaurant if in the area again but I lived close by I would probably come again.

His wife ordered the Nachos with Carnitas. Super flavorful with excellent chips. My wife loved her XO Scallops (I thought they were fishy smelling but the sauce it came with was exceptional). The dumplings were really good but were served barely warm. I liked my breakfast burrito with pork chili verde I got off the Brunch menu, but I've had better too. I would still come back and explore a lot of the menu.

The restaurant and staff were typical Chinese vibe. I'll be honest, coming from NY, my expectations weren't high. I didn't even take pictures at first because I assumed there wouldn't be a review (and I usually won't post a negative one). When I tell you SHOCKED isn't even a strong enough word... I'm not kidding. We didn't want leftovers, so we ordered a few things to share. They brought kimchi and pickled cucumbers to the table. I'm not even a kimchi person, but this one was delicious; and the sweet, tangy cucumbers were fantastic. Wonton soup is always my barometer for good Chinese food. The broth was flavorful with just a little kick. The wontons were plump with filling and had a super thin wrapper-absolutely delicious. We tried both the egg roll and the spring roll-both spot on. The duck sauce and Chinese mustard were excellent too. For our main, we ordered General Tso's chicken (mild spice) with white rice. First of all... the platter was HUGE. Aside from being slightly spicier than I personally prefer, it was AMAZING. And yes...WHITE MEAT CHICKEN! Big chunks of juicy, crunchy chicken, large slices of onion (which I love), pieces of pepper, and a delicious sauce that coated everything perfectly. Halfway through the meal I realized I HAD to take a picture because this review was happening. This wasn't "good for Tennessee." This was genuinely DELICIOUS Chinese food. Yong Asian House-BRAVO!

The waitstaff was very kind- that's the only highlight. The shrimp were rubber- and they put everything on skewars which is weird. It's like the shrimp fully evaded any salt and pepper. Got the pad see ew which was super mushy. Their mango salmon and shrimp was insanely overcooked. But the sauce it was in was flavorless and oily. My husband eats everything and would not finish it because it was so bad. Their purple rice was the mushiest thing ever. I have never seen an Asian restaurant that can't make rice. Like that's the bare minimum -Asian folks are rolling in their graves over how bad that is. They have zero kid options- so one kid got the crispy chicken fried rice which was also so bland and mushy but had pockets of strong ginger and soy taste but not well distributed- the chef has zero knife skills- half of the scallions were huge and half were cut right. The chicken was also cut weird. Like half in super thin strips and half in giant chunks. Son's chicken pho was 100% star anise. It was the only flavor in there. The chicken was all fatty and flubby. The decor was even more strange. They were simultaneously decorated for valentines, Christmas, Thanksgiving and had weird Asian "pillows" Wrapped in plastic. I literally would eat anywhere else before ever coming back here The waitress was nice enough to take the pad see ew and rubber shrimp off our bill- but I'd pay to never ever eat that food again as long as I live. Please do not be fooled by the reviews which feel like they are written by bots. This was SO bad. Abort mission- eat anywhere else.
