    Sizzling Beef & Scallops

After being dragged along on a hike that was a little bit more challenging than anticipated, we really wanted a meal that is heartier than brunch. Ming's looked promising as they had Chinese, Thai and Japanese food. So many options. We were probably the first customer of the day but glad to see more people pouring in as the day went on. Not sure what they specialize in, we got a chicken satay for app, a spicy tuna crunch roll and a sizzling beef with scallops entrée to share. The sushi tasted good but the presentation was a little lack luster - usually you can tell their sushi skills by the way their sushi roll is cut... not going to be super critical as we're in Glenwood Springs, I'm sure the talent is harder to get here. The satay chicken also had great flavor but was a little bit overcooked. The sizzling beef plate was as delicious as it was appealing... I think maybe their strong suit is their Chinese food. There wasn't as much protein as I'd like for a plate (scallops and beef) but the veggie were plentiful. The portion size was great for the satay and the entrée and the sushi seemed slightly skinnier than what I'm used to in town. All in all the service was great, food tasty and restaurant was very clean. Food came out pretty fast too after ordering so I'd highly recommend if you're craving Chinese food to give Ming's a try.

After a day of soaking at Glenwood Hot Springs and a massage at Yampah Vapor Caves, I decided to treat myself. Ming's is a small Asian restaurant on Grand Ave adjacent to the CO Hwy 82 bridge. Large menu. I started a globe glass of Unshackled Sauvignon Blanc from California. I saw several customers eating the same soup, Coconut Chicken. Large pieces of chickenand white mushrooms. Extremely good. I added a sushi appetizer of Tuna Tataki with slightly grilled ahi tuna in a pepper sauce. I got a 2nd glass of wine. Next was a large platter of Sushi Sashimi with several types of tuna and salmon. I substituted their California Roll with their Glenwood Roll. It was made with crab, apricots, macadamia nuts wrapped with tuna & avocado. I got my 3rd glass of wine. I overheard the the large list of desserts including cheesecake and mochi ice cream, but opted for the chocolate cake with chocolate fudge layers. A wonderful repast. I was served by Guadalupe. She was great.

I was soo looking forward to trying Ming's, but unfortunately the service and quality were just not at all acceptable. My younger brother was served a drink that had been sitting on the bar for 15+ minutes. The bartender seemed brand new; still counting seats and not sure of what liquors they had not to mention his lack of service. We sat for about 20 minutes waiting for him to take our orders and after he took them he failed to get our drinks before the food came out. The food unfortunately was just the bare minimum from Sysco with no flavor and some plates were almost completely inedible. Once our food was served the bartender completely ignored us I finally had to make a complaint and ask someone else for our check. And to top it all of there was a mouse that ran from one side of the bar to the other. If you're thinking about Ming's definitely do not go there when they are busy and don't expect high quality. Kedai across the street is amazing!

Loved the variety of veggies in both the chicken & veggie plates. Flavors are great, a little more sauce would have been nice but that's my only qualm. Service was quick, informed, and friendly. Interior is clean and inviting. Even a cute fish tank inside!

I'd had my share of fried food and really wanted something different. Ming's Cafe hinted at some yummy dishes, so I headed over with high hopes. It's a small restaurant that is decorated and designed beautifully-every corner is accounted for, with no wasted space. I appreciated the nice touches like the lighted ceilings and the nice bar. The location was perfect-right along the main street where all the action is. The food, however, was ok-not amazing, but alright. My Pad Thai was a little more on the sweet side than I would have preferred. The egg drop soup, however, was delicious. The service was touch-and-go. I think they might have been understaffed for the holiday weekend and we had to wait an uncomfortable amount of time to receive our check. We never had our drinks refilled-even though we had empty glasses on our table. Overall, it was an ok experience. I might return, during a less busy time and would order something different.

My partner and I come here like almost every week. The service is always good and very quick. The music is also the vibe. I definitely would recommend coming here especially if you're gluten free & dairy free.

First off, the most notable thing about this experience was the genuinely most amazing waitress I think I have ever encountered, Grace. Grace was the kindest soul, she took such amazing care of us and went ABOVE AND BEYOND. Me and my family will go out to eat now and say "she was good but not as good as Grace". Second off, The food was AMAZING per usual. I had the Wagyu steak and it was cooked perfectly, I usually hate going out for steak because I find it to never be seasoned as much as I'd like but this took the cake. The blue cheese dip with chips was so delicious, like possibly one of the best things we have ever tasted. We also tried to carrot cake sorbet which I know sounds odd but it was so delicious, you can tell the kitchen staff puts their heart and soul into this food. My husband got the special, which was like a Turkish ricotta stuffed pasta and it was AMAZING. Even my sister who got the wagyu burger, AMAZING. My only critique was the hostess was very rude to my family for no reason when we walked in which almost turned my parents off from trying to the most amazing restaurant. Luckily, the service got amazing after that. Everyone was so kind and helping everyone, just a great atmosphere. They also had the Knicks game playing which was great haha. I can't wait to come back next summer for my favorite meal despite living states away we will always make it back to The Pullman.

I started with the pickled deviled eggs - little vinegar taste with a slightly sweet filling is a perfect combination. 10/10 The Steak Tartare is unlike any tartare I've ever had before. It comes on this homemade tater-tot that's shaped kind of like a piece of bread or a cracker. I wasn't expecting it, but it made the dish. There is some sort of sauce drizzled, which tastes like an egg yolk base. I scraped it with my fork so I could eat all of it! So delicious! Finished with the Pierogies. Handmade, thin wrappers with perfect, delicious filling. It comes in a bowl with an amazing sauce I couldn't get enough of. I literally used a spoon to drink it! If you're in town, get a reservation - they are very busy!!! It's worth it!

First, the pricing transparency on modifications is frustrating. My son ordered the $12 mac and cheese (which includes a drink). Upon ordering the server offered broccoli or chicken as an option. He chose broccoli, assuming it was a standard side swap or inclusion. Instead, we were charged $1 for the broccoli and an extra $3 for the fruit. Second, drink pricing was a letdown. -For $14 the frosted coconut margarita was served in a short highball glass rather than premium glassware. -I was charged $17.57 for a double Malibu Pineapple, (they added an extra $1 charge just for the pineapple juice mixer). -To top it off, the drink took 12 minutes to arrive because our server was preoccupied with a recently seated large party. Finally, be aware that they add an automatic 3% "Kitchen and Brewer Appreciation" surcharge to the bill, on top of normal tax and tip. While the food was great, the unbundled charges for standard mixers, deceptive side options, and extra surcharges leave a bad taste. Food: Rueben was great. Husband wished for more sauce but I thought it was the perfect balance. Kiddo loved the broccoli and mac. Pro tip: Check your receipt (which we didn't get until *after* we cashed out). Server (who was great, by the way) came to our table in a break from his large table and announced our total so we didn't see the breakdown until the text receipt arrived.

We wanted something casual and hearty during a winter outing in Glenwood Springs, and had walked by the tantalizing signage for chicken wings here several times before stopping in for lunch. Inside - dead. And because none of the usual indoor lighting was lit, the interior just seemed sort of sad, dirty, and run-down. There was one front-staff worker whose first language was definitely not English who was cleaning at the time and quickly sat us down with some menus. We had sort of a hard time communicating and getting our order down, but he definitely was doing his best. We got an order of Jamaican Jerk whole wings and Hot Honey regular wings. What you see is what you get - presentation isn't looking to impress, but portion size is quite ample. The whole wings are legit chicken quarters and the Jamaican Jerk was not playing around - a punchy jerk seasoning that had both of us drinking deeply from the spice, while the Hot Honey was a pleasant crowd-pleasing mix of flats and drums with a solid sweet to spicy ratio. All in all, we enjoyed our wings but probably would try coming when things are a little more lively so it's easier to ignore the ambiance.
